RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Scan barcodes to search through extras quicker.

    It would make adding new inventory received much faster if you could scan the barcode to search for that specific item within extras rather than having to scroll or type in the name. Would streamline the process of adding inventory to take much less time.

  2. Security profile Grouping

    It would be better if there's a grouping per security profile in which we can include/exclude users to a certain security profile. As of now what we can do is define each user's account on the user information menu.

  4. Log all changes to profiles in the Audit Trail

    This is a suggestion. When changes are made in the Profiles, the Audit Trail does not show every change. I feel it would be very important to have every/any change shown in the Audit Trail and who made the change.

  5. RMS IBE offers the choice to display net rates instead of gross rates prior to adding them to the cart.

    I wanted to bring to your attention a critical update that we believe would greatly enhance the user experience on the RMS IBE platform and improve our competitiveness in the market.

    Currently, our system displays rates at the gross amount without explicitly indicating whether taxes are included. This lack of transparency becomes apparent only after customers proceed to add reservations to their carts. In contrast, many OTA platforms prominently display net rates and specify that taxes are excluded.

  6. Optimization for Available unsold Nights

    Since we are a seasonal business, getting the most out of the 3 months is important. We spend hours each week going through the booking chart moving reservations to back up other reservations within the same site type. Therefore there are no "holes" and hoping to move the reservations so guests do not have to jump from one cottage to another, in order to stay with us 3 nights. It would be nice if managers had the ability to hit 1 button that states "optimize" so that it would shuffle the sites to open up longer stays in a row.…

  7. Adding additional guests on Guest Portal

    This has caused a major pain with duplicate accounts and we have to merge all the time because the same phone number or email was used. When adding a guest, it would be nice if it asked if it was a child, spouse, etc. When quests add their children, they end up adding their phone and email addresses. It would be nice if it was intuitive enough to put age or DOB for a child. Offer n/a if that is possible. Not always assuming each guest is an adult.   8. Mandatory Fields, need to be mandatory on online reservations.

    Each company has mandatory fields that have to be completed when making a reservation. What I do not understand is when guests make an online reservations, Those fields are not mandatory to them. Example: They do not have to fill in kids, vehicles, or pets. It is very frustrating to get called in the middle of the night because they have a 2nd vehicle coming in and only 1 pass was given.

  11. Can you provide a comprehensive list of documents required for GST registration for different types of businesses?

    The documents required for GST registration vary based on the type of business entity. For individual proprietors, documents include PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport-sized photograph, and proof of business ownership (e.g., rent agreement or property documents).

    Partnership firms require partnership deed, PAN card of partners, and identity/address proofs. Companies need incorporation certificate, memorandum/articles of association, PAN card of directors, and identity/address proofs. Additionally, all businesses must provide proof of the principal place of business (e.g., utility bills or rent agreement), bank account details, and digital signature (for companies/LLPs).     Ability to search guest names in credit and balance transfer function

    I would like the ability to search for guest firts name and last name in the credit and balance transfer functions to avoid having to first seperatly find the account number and then come back to this function to perform the transfer.

    on the clean screen it would be great to see next arrival on the task view, this would make it easier to allocate prioritized rooms to staff.

    An additional note box that is specific to either a booking or a customer.

    At present we use the client note to record the data we need for every booking (where there caravan is stored) and the reservation notes that are specific to that booking.     Include the generation of proforma invoice or invoice in Audit Trail so we can check when were the invoices created


    The audit trail of a reservation shows many changes but does not reflect when a proforma invoice or invoice is generated. This is useful to check when the invoice is presented to the guest.

    Have the ability to name a restriction in Rate Manager for our own records, or put a note against it


    Just wondering if there is currently (or could be?) the ability to name a restriction for our own records, or put a note against it?

    For example, I've just applied some Clear Stop Sell and new Stop Sell, so that I could release the restriction of 25 Dec 2024 onwards for online bookings, and then place one from 8 Jan 2025 as I start rolling out availability to online.

  20. Advanced Housekeeping Tasks

    Automatically calculate when rooms are DEEP/FULL cleans based on # of nights occupied. i.e. full linen/quilts/protectors every 5th night


    Would be good if RMS housekeeping tasks could automatically tell us when we deep clean rooms after X amount of nights occupied (i.e. 3x 1 night stays+2 night stays - we would change on the 5th night that room has been used). We currently manually have a register for each room in our property, that we mark out every 5th night the room is used, it gets a FULL linen change i.e. duvets, mattress & pillow protectors.
