Remember User Sort Order Preferences on In/Out Screen
IN/OUT Screen - Sort Order should stay on users preferred order like it did in 8.

We are pleased to advise that as part of the improvements to the In/Out Movements in RMS the ability for users to set their preferred column display and sort order which will be retained on exit is now available in RMS.

9+ Dashboard: Memo Box
Could the dashboard have an option for a memo box that could be updated by management to keep team in the loop of any changes or anything relevant to that day? For example: "Guest Tom Smith coming in today is a VIP please ensure he gets everything he needs?" Or, simply just a memo for all reception team in general, e.g. "ATTN Team: This Monday is Crazy Sock Day - make sure you're wearing yours!"

the tariff chart - to stay in the one spot when amending rates - its so frustrating that it returns to the top - each room that you change
Its so frustrating and time consuming when changing rates, that as you change a room type tariff, and save it, the whole chart returns to the top, so you have to scroll down to find where you are up to, to keep amending rates for each room type. a lot of time wasted in scrolling the chart up and down, when it should stay in the spot you are at

Merging duplicate Company and Travel Agent Profiles
There needs to be a button to be able to Merge Duplicate Company and Travel Agent Profiles. It is very difficult to get an accurate assessment of a companies production when there is more than one profile.125 votesThank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.

A "do not move" function.
Say you have a regular who always wants the same room or several rooms that may be traveling together that want to be next to each other. When the reservation is made you check the "do not move" box and this alerts the front desk staff that these rooms need to stay put. It is also a good idea to make a note explaining why they should not be moved.
8 votesRMS has this feature, the field on the reservation details is named Fixed. This is a Yes/No field.
If you choose YES the reservation will not be able to be moved.
When viewing the reservation on the chart it will show a small circle which is to indicate that it is a do not move reservation.

Be able to Edit No Availabilty message in RMS Online
Message currently says "There is no availability for the date range you have selected. Please try alternative dates or contact the property" - would be good to be able to edit this and put in contact information for property

Why can't we email a rooming list straight from rooming list
Why can't we email a rooming list straight from rooming list. it is so time consuming building a rooming list, then saving it to the desktop and then emailing it from the email program and attaching the file. this is so stone ages.

In RMS when you put notes in the Guest Detail or Reservation Detail
In RMS when you put notes in the Guest Detail or Reservation Detail it would be help full if the date would automatically populate before you start typing in the field and it should go to the top of the note section not the bottom. This way the most current notes would appear when you pulled up the record and you would know how old they are. Also (in RMS) it would be helpful if when you are making a reservation and you enter a U.S. zip code and hit the drop down to chose the city it would also…

Making "Split" non-compulsory
"Split" may be good for some but as a compulsory feature it fails dismally just by a guest parking in the wrong site. Already using work round of checking guests out early then remaking the booking. Some guests are now having a list of split sites 5 or 6 long.

Room Availability Report
Can this report please be enhanced to include a tick box or something so that we can exclude certain housekeeping statuses such as dirty rooms? This report is extremely helpful for after hours when night duty may sell rooms to late walkins.
3 votesWe are pleased to advise that the Area Availability Report has been updated to include an option to only show Clean Areas and is now available in RMS 9+ with Reports Version 1.20.135.0 and above.
This version is currently in our Beta Environment and will be included in a future RMS 9+ Live Release.

Thank you for your suggestion
This is currently an integral part of the online bookings process. For each reservation that drops into RMS, a confirmation email should be received from us or the Online Travel Agent depending on where the reservations has come from.
If you are not receiving these emails, we would recommend you check you RMSOnline setup or alternatively contact the help desk for assistance

Payment in advance to show paid to date on receipt
When a long term resident pays in advance, when printing a receipt it should show what date they are paid to.

The ability to search for a specific sized van site
It would be handy if we could do a quick search of sites that fit certain van sizes so I can have a look through what is available without scrolling through 200+ sites every time we take a booking.

We already have the perfect function available right now to assist you with your site sizes. By using attributes, you can group your sites into standard sizes and filter them on your booking chart. I have asked a support member to contact you to provide further assistance.

Drop down menu in made by field
When making a reservation in the made by field have a drop menu to select staff member who is making the booking rather than having to log on as difference users

to be able to email a report or rooming list directly from RMS
it would be great to be able to email a report or rooming list directly from RMS instead of having to export it first. it would a lot of time.

We have a new function called scheduled reports that will allow you to set a time for a report to run and send to an email address.
I will have someone from support give you a call and take you through this function.

The ability to move a client from one site to another but keep the same booking
We have a lot of clients that come in and want to change sites when one they like better becomes available, it would be handy to be able to move a portion of their booking to another site easily on the booking chart but hold the same booking, that way we wouldn't have to add in a new booking and alter their old one.

Better Display of Discounted Rate on the RMS IBE
The discount is not shown on the rates page as with other similar book now pages.
Typically the best way is to show both the original daily price (struck out) and the discounted price on the rate selection page.
We get calls to ask why they cannot see the discount, even though we spell out that it is displayed at the end.

All 9+ calanders have now been fitted with the Today feature

we are unable to change dates in a group booking using the nights field, we have to change the date via the calendar.
it is frustrating that we are unable to change the dates in a group master booking using the nights field. the only way to change dates is via the calendar. you were able to do this in rms8.

When changing default housekeeping day, if other changes made to booking ie arrival time, HK reverts back to default, not good!
We often need to change the default housekeeping day for guests. We are finding, once this has been set, if we then make other changes made to booking ie arrival time or date, HK reverts back to default. This is not good as we then lose the requested day, have to remember to go back in and re-set. This has caused many mistakes for our housekeepers. I don't get why, changing one field in a guest booking should later anything else. please fix!
