RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Booking Chart - Add Button 'Yesterday' Next to 'Today' Button

    If we had a yesterday button on the booking chart we could at a glance know which sites had been checked out and would be available to put someone in for that day. It would also make it easier to make reservation the following morning for guests that arrived after hours the day before.

    Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.

    After careful consideration and in alignment with our long-term development roadmap for RMS we have made the decision not to proceed with this feature request.

    We deeply value the feedback from our users and understand the frustration that may result from a highly voted user suggestion not being included in future development. Our goal is to communicate our decisions transparently about which features we intend to implement and those that we do not.

    Simplifying the RMS user experience and implementing features that will provide the largest benefit for the most customers continues to be a driving force in our development roadmap and we look forward to introducing exciting new features from our user suggestions in the coming months.

  2. Additional Triggered Correspondence Options

    Triggered correspondence is great but I think anyone using it would benefit from having more send options. For example, I want all reservations to receive an email reminder five days prior to arrival. If I use triggered correspondence for that, anyone who makes a reservation with less than five days to arrival receives my reminder. This is really awkward when I have a walk in guest and RMS sends them an arrival reminder.

  3. Ability to Refund with No Credit on Account

    Allow refunds even when there is no credit on the account. This would allow a cash payout to a guest such as to pay for a cab or for change to use a vending machine. A security setting could be added to allow only certain employees the ability to over refund.

  5. Be able to adjust the date when receipting a payment

    Be able to adjust (back date) a receipt when processing a payment. As it stands, when you enter a payment for an eftpos payment, if you don't receipt the payment on the actual day, it creates an imbalance on your daily totals matched to your eftpos summary for the day. Yes, better accounting practices should mean that all payments are receipted at time of payment BUT there are cases where this doesn't happen.

  6. I would like to be able to access and enter CC details in to both the Vault and the Gateway token

    We would like to enter CC info into the Vault as well as have a Gateway token setup.
    In some instances we require to see full credit card information and the Gateway token does not allow this. So being able to utilise both methods allows for this.

    Credit Card Tokens created through a Payment Gateway encrypt the credit card information to provide security to the cardholder whilst enabling the property to process secure transactions to the card using the CC Token in RMS.

    Credit Card Tokens can be saved on a Guest, Company, Travel Agent or Wholesaler to be available for payments across multiple reservations.

    This process of encrypting the credit card information and masking it to user’s is the PCI Compliant method for credit card information storage.

    The RMS Vault is available for customer’s who have not yet connected with a Payment Gateway to provide a secure method of storing the credit card information that is not easily accessible.

  7. Show withheld amounts on owner statements

    When running EOM in trust accounting RMS9+, there is a stage when I have to print all the statements then check that they are right before proceeding. The statements that are created for checking don't display the amount to be withheld. This is fundamentally wrong and false and misleading and needs to be fixed now.

    Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.

    Owner Statements will display the Amount Withheld after Pay Owner has been completed during End of Month. Prior to completing Pay Owner there is no information to be reported on the Owner Statement.

    To preview the Amount to be Withheld prior to completing Pay Owner, this amount will be displayed on the Pay Owner screen.

  9. Group booking res notes not to be overidden when updating res notes on the group master

    When res notes are updated on group master (in green) on group booking, when pressing save, the tick boxes appear. When tick box is clicked, this overrides/ deletes all previous res notes.
