Waitlist for Sold Out Accommodation Dates
A waitlist feature allows you to assign a Waitlist status to a reservation.
If the room or rate requested by the guest becomes available for the desired stay dates, the reservation can be "accepted" and made active.

Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS 9+.
We are pleased to advise that your suggestion has now been scheduled into a future development cycle.
When completed, RNP-13663 will provide users the ability to add, view and manage Waitlist Reservations.
We will update this page once development commences and again once the feature is released.
In the meantime, we encourage you to vote on other suggestions that you would find of benefit or add any new suggestions you may have for ways we can continue to improve RMS products.
We appreciate your valuable feedback and look forward to introducing exciting new features from our user suggestions in the coming months.
Kind Regards,
RMS Product Development

A waitlist is similar to the Special events column in the booking chart (see below). You might consider this if you want to relocate guests to a sister property. Guests on the priority waitlist are notified when a room becomes available due to a last-minute cancellation https://nfmerch.net/category/phone-case/

Looking at the booking chart, a waitlist feature is similar to the Special events column ( below). If you want to bump guests to a sister property, this might be a good option. It allows guests on a priority waitlist to be notified of a room's availability when a last-minute cancellation comes through (pop-up notification). https://mattressguides.in/sleep-and-wellness/hypnic-jerk/

It has occurred to me as well. It appears that they are not open to the idea when I suggest it over the phone. There could be a workaround for this if more waiting areas/rooms were added with names such as wait1, wait2, etc. For statistical reasons, you can unselect the sales and occupancy statistics. You could call back priority list members if a room becomes available.

The same idea has occurred to me. It doesn't appear that they are open to the idea when I've called to suggest it. It would be beneficial that the waitlist is converted to an unconfirmed reservation and the sales agent receives an email advising the room is now available. The sales agent will then contact the person who made the initial inquiry.

A waitlist feature similar to Special events column ( below) when looking into the booking chart. Could possibly be ideal when bumping guest to a sister property and such. Avoids an oversight on booked out dates when last minute cancellation comes through ( pop-up notification that a room is available to contact guest whom was on priority waitlist. ( first in first serve basis).

Use the Quote reservation feature.

Creating dummy rooms adds so many complexities to our system. It's a pain to create them in the first place, then editing reports not to include these area's is also impractical. Why not improve on an existing feature to add more benefits. Having visibility of parked reservations would help in so many ways? How much they have paid, what room type they had, any deposits held, booking source etc.

Digital Rez had this 10 years ago. You put them on a wait list, when that accommodation became available, it Instantly popped up that there was a waiting list for that date and site type....

I agree - is this any closer to implementation?? So many other systems have this function and it would be VERY USEFUL!

This seems like a no brainer. Should be implemented ASAP.
This doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to do. They could just add a field to the guest account that allows you to add them to a waiting list for a date range. Then you could run a report and see a list based on the date and who was added first. This would work well for new or existing guests.

I get around this one by creating an 'Event' called Standby, colour coding it to stand out and then enter the guest details in the notes panel of the 'Event'. Then if i get a cancellation I have all the details at hand.

We did the same thing as 247hotel. It's not a perfect work-around but it's the best solution we could find.
