RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. We would like the colour used for "Dirty" on the clean screen to be different to the colour used for "Inspect"

    The reception staff would like to be able to just refer to the colour of the dot to determine if they need to go and inspect a room or not (without having to go to the housekeeping screen). At the moment the booking chart screen doesn't allow this as the reception staff does not know if the status is "dirty" or "inspect" because the colour is the same.

  2. I would like to be able to visually represent Stop Sells in the Booking Chart

    When a stop sell is loaded, I would like this to be highlighted in the booking chart (not using maintenance feature or special events tab).

  4. Automated Quote Reservation Process

    This idea is basically an extension on the triggered correspondence functionality.

    A customisable workflow solution would have triggers, decision points, actions and diary events.

    For example, a quote followup workflow would be ;

    • trigger quote status 7 days prior to arrival date.
    • automatic workflow decisions based of field values, such as quotes for a specific agent might be ignored.
    • automate a correspondence
    • set a followup date.
    • etc

    Such workflow builders are common in CRM systems. I can provide more details if required.

  5. Void Charge when Remove Requirement from a Reservation

    Some of our requirements are attached to sundry charges so when we add them into a booking, the attached sundry charges will also be auto-posted in the guest account.
    However this is not the case with removal of requirements. When we remove a requirement from the "Requirements" section in a booking, the related sundry charge will still stay in the guest account. We have to go back to the account and manually remove the sundry charge which is very tedious.     I would like to be able to see in the correspondence tab if an email we have sent out has bounced. Similar to how it shows when being sent outside of RMS (eg via outlook)

  7. I would like RMS Require an active CC on file in order for the guest to be checked in

    It would be very helpful to have the option to require an active credit Card on file in order for the reservation to be checked in. This way we ensure we have a CC on file as they add charges to their account during their stay.

  8. Lock Rates for FUTURE confirmed reservations when making rate table changes to Additionals

    Currently. if you change the rate for Additionals in your Rate Tables, ALL Future confirmed reservations (in place at the time) will have the rate changed without notice OR warning the moment you check them in (which could be months later), EVEN though they were booked at another rate.

    This issue virtually incapacitates our ability to change the rate for additionals. RMS should not be changing ANY rates instantly at check in without any notice or warning messages. Please correct this issue. Thank you!

  9. Easily identify property when using enterprise

    When you have multiple properties and using enterprise it would be good to visually see what property you are in - just like when you are in training it is purple -
    the ability to set a different colour for each property would be fantastic for easy quick identification and to avoid mistakes of doing something in the wrong property

  10. Housekeeping Portal Checklist

    It would be very handy to be able to create a checklist with tick boxes in the housekeeping portal. Once all items are ticked, this can then be sent back to management and kept on file as an electronic document. Currently, our housekeepers carry around a document, tick off the items, then leave with management at the end of the day. We are looking for a more electronic version.

  11. Include Requirements in Total on the Quoted Rate

    Add a Total amount with requirements/extras to the reservation screen


    Add a Total amount with requirements to the account screen so that you can easily quote the guests their projected total stay and bill correctly upon arrival. Right now it is a manual calculation

  12. Setup SMS Templates Per Property (Same as Form Letters)

    We are an enterprise database and want our users only to see their own correspondence. Currently when a new SMS is created it attaches to all security profiles and there is no option to opt in or out of that. (which you can do with form letters/correspondence)

  13. Add ID Icon to Guest Profile if Photo ID Uploaded in the Guest Portal

    Show if photo ID has been uploaded to the guest portal on a reservation

    I need to be able to see whether a guest has uploaded photo ID on a reservation, it is to many steps to click through client area and edit, how do i know if it has been uploaded without continually clicking in all the reservations and clicking on client etc.

  14. Add Search by Guest Name to Balance Transfer and Charge Transfer

    Ability to search guest names in credit and balance transfer function

    I would like the ability to search for guest firts name and last name in the credit and balance transfer functions to avoid having to first seperatly find the account number and then come back to this function to perform the transfer.

  15. Add Next Arrival in Area on the Clean Screen Task View

    See next arrival on task view, so that we can allocate prioritized rooms

    on the clean screen it would be great to see next arrival on the task view, this would make it easier to allocate prioritized rooms to staff.

  17. Add a new reservation status called "Postponed"

    Add a new reservation status called "Postponed" for reservations that are not cancelled but postponed and new dates are not yet decided on by the guest and any deposits held stay held on the original reservation accomm accounts until such a time the guest selects new dates and the res becomes confirmed again

  18. Simplified Replace Guest Tool for Group Reservations

    Currently, when adding guest names to room numbers as part of a group, we can use either the Quick Add, Replace Guest, or set primary methods to change from the original names on the group res.
    The Quick add method is great, love it. However, we still need to delete each of the original names in the group res (usually the booker's name or the group name).
    Suggestion:
    Have tick boxes next to each name so users can simply tick the old names to be deleted at one go, rather than having to delete them individually.

  19. Advanced Housekeeping Tasks

    Automatically calculate when rooms are DEEP/FULL cleans based on # of nights occupied. i.e. full linen/quilts/protectors every 5th night


    Would be good if RMS housekeeping tasks could automatically tell us when we deep clean rooms after X amount of nights occupied (i.e. 3x 1 night stays+2 night stays - we would change on the 5th night that room has been used). We currently manually have a register for each room in our property, that we mark out every 5th night the room is used, it gets a FULL linen change i.e. duvets, mattress & pillow protectors.

  20. The ability to over ride triggered correspondence when your manually sending it out.

    In my business, every day guests are sent arrival codes via SMS at a time earlier than the scheduled time to trigger the SMS correspondence to them, as there is always someone who calls and asks for an early checkin.
    In these circumstances you dont want the SMS to trigger at the designated time, as it has already been sent to the guest (not a good look to be sending it again and a complete waste of money sending a second time).
    There needs to be either :
    -a tick box when you're setting up the rules of triggered correspondence…
