RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Payment Gateways - Add Option to Manually Release a Pre-Auth

    New feature to release the pre-authorization after a guest checked out

  2. Option to Select Account Requirement Charges Apply

    Create an option for requirements to route to the guest folio

    I would like for there to be an option to have requirements route to the guest folio versus the incidentals folio. Many of our "requirements" are essentially add-ons that the guest has to pay for directly. It would be beneficial to the option for all guest charges to be posted on one folio rather than having to transfer the incidental charges each time.

  3. Add 'None' as an RV Slide Option

    We are a camping facility, and it would be great if 'None' was an option for camping slides in the IBE because not all motorhomes/trailers have slides.

  4. Contact integration

    Our landline number diverts perminantly to a mobile phone and it is becoming more common in motels, it would be helpful to have contacts integrated to Google Contacts, Microsoft Exchange, etc.

    I would like to see options to choose syncronisation settings such as "in-house guests only", "in-house guests + future reservations" and "all contacts".

    For checked-in in-house guests I would like to see something like "(Rm 1) <NAME>"
    For blacklisted guests I would like to see a label like "BL <NAME>"

    This will allow us to personalise the service we provide to our guests with greetings such as "Good morning…

  6. Make Token Mandatory

    Add the option of a Token being mandatory for the reservation to be allowed to be checked in, to reduced Human error when Guests book through OTA and a virtual card is sent, or a booking doesnt integrate correctly.

  7. Why are we no longer able to post multiple day charges on the folio with one click?

    We used to be able to post charges for multiple night stays with one click. Now we have to post each night individually.

  8. New reservation guest search improvements

    We get a lot of guests with multiple profiles because when creating a new reservation the first thing we enter is the mobile number that comes up on our caller ID, if we cannot find a result we go to the surname field then the first name field but, if the phone number in the system is internationalized (i.e. +61 4XX XXX XXX) from an OTA for example, when we enter 04XX XXX XXX it won't match the records with +614XX XXX XXX.

    I would like to see the search not try to match all search fields together but instead…

  9. Merge Fields for Addon Categories Don't Work

    It would be great if all merge fields were available for AddOns and Addon Categories, so we can send specific information to guests with From Letters and SMS on how to access car parking spaces

  10. Fix the changes to search bar so it functions as it used too

    the changes to the search bar might be great if your searching for some obscure details but the feature is now useless for what you use it for every day. you cant look anything up any more which is really annoying i have to go search things by date all the time to find a booking instead of being able to bang in a name and have it pop up. you need to be able to put in the surname or christian name of a reservation to find it fast. this change is a backwards step.

  11. Prevent guests receiving check in information if credit card details / bond have not been processed

    We send a TC 24 hours before arrival with home access information. If a bond has not been processed guests still receive this.

    A tickbox to choose if they receive this without a bond processed would be excellent for security reasons

  12. times in the events module to be in quarter hour increments for more detailed timings on event order forms

    At the moment the events module times are in 1 hour increments. We need this to be in 15 minute increments for more detailed event planning

  13. One login for multiple RMS Client IDs

    I support multiple RMS sites and have multiple logins - 1 per Client ID. I log in and out multiple times per day which is frustrating and time consuming.

    I want to be able to log in once, and then quick switch between which Client ID I have active. I could have different security profiles in each Client ID which are active when I switch.

    Please implement this it will make life so much easier.

  14. Be able to load rate restrictions that still allow room moves

    I want to restrict a rate plan from being booked any more due to occupancy but I have found that I can't, as if a guest needs to move to another slip it is not possible without selecting a different rate plan. Therefore the restrictions are un-usable as is. Would like to allow room/slip moves if a rate plan is restricted so that I can use this feature.

  15. Can search by tax code for Travel Agent

    Same as Company, It would be great if we can search Travel Agent by tax code, it will avoid us to create duplicate TA. Tax code is unique.

  16. Requirement Charge Daily should be post when run night audit

    When tick Charge require daily, it will post the amount charge for whole period on the 1st day check in. It should be post one by one, day by day when run night audit. In case guest use some days then cancel , do not use any more, FO have to void.

  18. Make the Blue Shading in the Room Number Column move in line with which ever row you have the cursor on like it did previously.

    Prior to last update, the blue shading in the room number column would move in line with which ever row your cursor was on so that when you were entering a new booking you knew which room you were putting it in.
    Now this only happens when there is already a booking occupying that row which is of no use at all.

  19. I would like an option to have a limit on a Sundries option/ Countdown option or Parking Option TAB

    Parking spaces have been added into our system as accommodation. The only way to do it apparently!! If we could add parking as a sundry so that we have a limited amount of spaces that count down each time they are booked/ or added back in when free - this would mean we could book parking via sundries rather than as accommodation which is creating false occupancy %, and also creating groups within accommodation which in turn is making it a account balancing nightmare. Alternatively create a tab that links into accommodation just for parking please.

  20. I would like to see if correspondence has bounced or not

    I would like to be able to see in the correspondence tab if an email we have sent out has bounced. Similar to how it shows when being sent outside of RMS (eg via outlook)
