Add State & Country to Booking Chart Data Window
Thank you for the recent changes to the Data Window options. We though love to see State & Country shown there to. In these COVID times it would make managing bookings and expected cancellations if we could see these fields easily in the booking without having to open them. Nor does it show on any Arrival Reports.
1 voteWe are pleased to advise that Guest Country & State are now available as options to add to the Booking Chart Data Window in RMS 9+ Version 11.21.221.2 and above.
This version is currently in our Release Candidate (RC) Environment and will be included in the next RMS 9+ Live Release.

Customise the Fields Displayed in the Booking Chart Data Window
I would like to edit the 'data window' content in the booking chart
I would like to edit the 'data window' content in the booking chart, we would like to see mobile number and bedding configuration and we wish to remove the 'dwelling slide' as it's not a feature we use. Apparently the data window is hard coded and cannot be customised.

We are pleased to advise that each user can customise their Booking Chart Data Window to only display the fields they need to see. This feature update is currently available in the RMS Beta environment and will be publicly available with the next released update to the Live environment.

Improve Account Printing Efficiency
Installing a new printer and Smart Printing Service
We had to install a new printer over the weekend. It's been a long time since the last install so we had forgotten how to get it into smart printing service. It was not working like the printer before. I rang help and was told that the smart printing service is being fazed out and RMS must generate the report to print. After hanging up I worked out how to reinstall smart printing service for our new printer and it works as we like it.

2 votesDue to advancements in browser applications and printing options Smart Printing is no longer required within the RMS application.
Tax Invoices and Statements can be quickly printed or emailed from an account using the drop down menu. Selecting ‘Print’ will generate the Statement or Tax Invoice on screen and automatically open the browser’s print dialogue box to quickly send the job to the chosen printer.

Quick Quote - Ability to Type in Category or Rate Type Drop Down Menus
HI Team,
Can you please reinstate the ability to type in the Rate Type Field at the top of the quick quote screen.
This functionality has been lost since the last update, it would save a lot of time scrolling through the list of rates if you can jump to the required rate type by starting to type it.
This functionality already exists when in a reservation.

Create Rate - Option to Create Nightly Rate for Multiple Reservation Dates
Create Rate for multiple nights at once
For the Create Rate functionality that allows a user to post a night's accommodation in advance:
Currently we can only post one night at a time so this is time consuming if we’re trying to post the rate forward for say 30 nights. Could this be enhanced so that there's an option to post multiple dates with one posting rather than being only able to post one night at a time?5 votesThank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.
Currently available in our RC and Beta environment and coming soon with the next public Live release of RMS 9+ is the ability to configure the number of nights the Create Rate option will apply at a time, including the ability to create the rate for the full length of stay at once when using Nightly Rate and whether or not the rate should be created on check-in.

Weekend days to be dark grey again so that it is easy to see the weekly rhythm on the bookings screen
Saturdays and Sundays used to be dark and it was helpful. It was removed in the recent upgrade unnecessarily :(

Saturday & Sunday have been restored to a darker shade on the Booking Chart in all versions of RMS. The first day of the month is also shaded an even darker colour to highlight the rollover of a new month when viewing the Booking Chart.

Reservation Requirements- Bring back Save/Next
Could previously add multiple requirements on a reservation without having to save, exit and then click back into "Add Requirement".
Res > Add Requirement > Save/Next Button is no longer showingNow have to Save requirement, exit and then go back to "add requirement". Makes it more time consuming when adding more than 1 requirement to a reservation.
Please bring back the "Save/Next Button" for adding requirements

Show Rate Period Colour for Weekends on the Rate Manager Chart
Weekends display white instead of the Rate Period colour on the Rate Manager Chart.
In the Tariff Manager Chart we would like the Tariff Period colours to include weekends. Currently the weekends do not display in the Tariff Period colour - Saturday & Sunday display in white, while Monday through Friday display in the colour of the Tariff Period. If a Tariff Period begins or ends on a Saturday or Sunday it can be quite hard to distinguish when it begins/ends as those days display in white and not in the colour of the Tariff Period.

Custom Housekeeping Area Statuses
Housekeeping: additional/customizable clean statuses for rooms
When managing housekeeping statuses in RMS, we'd like additional clean statuses other than clean, dirty, and inspect.
Ideally, if we can add/rename statuses based on our needs, we can manage housekeeping in detail. An example would be a progress indicator in percentages.

Property Occupancy Shown on Booking Chart
Ability to add the property occupancy to the top of the booking chart just like we can do on the rate chart.

New User Interface Feedback
- The new layout for (10.20.139.4)Beta does not look great - the old layout looked better. The side menu feels much larger now.
- The old layout looked better.
- Have EOD date visible like previous versions of RMS instead of having to click on the user profile tab - very confusing and easy to forget

We are pleased to advise that the most recent Beta release (Version 10.20.153.2) includes both the Accounting Date and Username in the info panel at the bottom of the side menu.
The Accounting Date will be displayed there for single property databases only.

Add Booking Stay Dates to Reservation Header
This would allow users to reference this important information in all areas of the booking. If using the Tour Desk and Transfer Modules the booking stay dates are not visible when working in these tabs. In addition when making bookings for tours or transfers the date defaults to 'today's' date which makes bookings in these areas more prone to user error and less efficient if the user has to write down booking dates or close out of tab to obtain the correct dates.
In other tabs there is a reference of some sort to the booking stay dates but not…

Default "BILL TO" in Channel Management Agent setup (like in Company setup)
We would like to set a specific agent to BILL TO: AGENT as the default but there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the Channel Management setup screen to do this.
Please note that it is the agent that is located on the channel management page, not an agent that we are manually creating.
We noticed that if we create a company, there is the option to set a default BILL TO option. (in EXTRA DETAILS) This is what we are trying to replicate in the online agent setup

Attach Tax Invoices to Emailed Owner Statements

Would be great to be able to add a PDF copy of invoices to Owner statements so they are emailed out each month rather than having to manually email them to all owners.

Ability to Preset Frequently Used Sundry Charges
We would like to be able to choose our frequently used sundries so that they come up quicker for us.

Add Message Centre to Mobile/Tablet View - 2 Way Guest Messaging
I understand that 2 way messaging has just been released however being able to do this on a phone would be highly beneficial and not on the desktop view. We are not always in the office and need a quick and easy way to respond to guests.

Hold 'View By' Column when Scrolling Dates on the Rate Manager
When viewing a larger number of days on the Rate Manager Chart, scrolling right to view more dates currently hides the View By option selected.
Please make this Category/Channel/Rate column hold in place so that viewing dates after scrolling right users can still know what it is they are looking at without memorising the left column.

Option to Show or Hide Decimals on the Rate Manager Chart
An option to show or hide the decimal points of the tariff. For properties that do not use decimal points all the .00 makes the screen very busy and hard to read.
As this screen is replacing Tariff/ATO Mgmt screen I will have no option to but to try and find my prices thru all the .00 on the screen. IT makes price management very hard.

email correspondence (read receipt option)
It would be very helpful to know that the client has received emails (read receipt option) This will help in eliminating "I did not receive any emails from you"

Reservations Created via Interactive Map Set as 'Fixed = Yes'
When guests book online and choose a site/area/room via the map the field under Reservation Options of Fixed should be toggled to Yes. This will eliminate moving of guests if they selected a specific site/area/room and wouldn't want to be moved and automatically show who chose their spots on the booking chart.
