restricting RMS prompts
"Please allow us more options with regards to choosing whether we receive the following prompts:
""only vacant dirty and vacant inspect status will be set to clean. Are you sure you want to set the selected rooms to clean?""
""would you like to recalculate the rate?"" - generally this pops up if the dynamic rates have changed since the time of the booking... In this case, we never want to do so! Sometimes we need to recalculate so this message should only come up under those circumstances. Eg. not pop up if you are selecting a room or making minimal changes but do pop up if there is a legitimate change to the booking such as extension
and
""would you like to post a rate for the day of departure"" - we never want to do this but we understand that someone might need to. Please let us select whether we want to see this"
Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.
Currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to turn off common reservation update prompts such as Housekeeping and Rate Recalculation messages. These can be switched off per user in Booking Chart Options and Reservation Options.
The prompt to post for day of departure will only occur when Nightly Rate and choosing ‘Create Rate’ when all night’s rates are on the account already.
We appreciate your valuable feedback and look forward to introducing exciting new features from our user suggestions in the coming months.
Kind Regards,
RMS Product Development

Whenever we drag a room to a different category, RMS asks us if we want to change the rate. We almost never want to change the rate. If we click yes, it's generally by mistake and then we have to go back and fix it.
RMS gives us the option to disable this prompt, but oddly, it only gives the option to default to "YES". I can't imagine what hotel manager in their right mind would ever want to default this to yes.
We would like to disable this prompt, and have it default to NO.
