RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. New different colour on booking chart for fully paid"reservations

    Looking for a new colour on the booking chart to show that a customer has fully paid prior to arrival, not just deposit paid and confirmed. Maybe could be done in conjunction with "Pre Check-In"

  2. RMS POS Payment transfer to RMS PMS needs to allow for more payment types

    We have found that the ability to map different payment types in the RMS POS (SwiftPOS) system to Payment types in RMS 9+ is very limited.

    We are wanting to map Gift Vouchers in the RMS POS system to a different Payment type in RMS 9+ such as "gift vouchers", but we cannot. Only allows EFTPOS/Credit Card, Cash and Direct Credit - very limiting and inflexible.

    The default for RMS techs is to setup POS Gift vouchers to "CASH" type in RMS 9+, which is very wrong. Needs to go elsewhere so we can tack vouchers in our Balance sheet,…

  3. I would like to change the way security profiles are listed to have separate check box to revert "arrived" reservations

    The setting in RMS Security Profiles, "Allow Unconfirm Status on a Departed Res" is the one that will allow a 2 hour revert to an ARRIVED res, but also revert DEPARTED reservation.

    We do not want users to be able to revert DEPARTED, but can revert ARRIVED.

  5. I would like to be able to charge a 1 night surcharge and keep the deposit at first night tariff without package

    We set up under package a 1 night surcharge for first night $30 and remove the surcharge on 2nd night -$30. This is how we were taught to apply a 1 night surcharge. However, this then (based on our deposit rules) charges the first night + $30 surcharge for a 5 night stay. We only want to charge first night for a booking over 1 night.

  6. ACH reverse receipt for NSF

    We would like to see an option to reverse and ACH payment that was rejected by the bank. Reverse option is only available the day of processing but we do not get notification from the bank the same day as the processing day from the bank

    Add journal entry option as a payment method to POS
    Sometimes the POS times out and the credit card processed via the credit card terminal and you are not able to log in the payment via journal entry

  8. Verify Credit Card Payments Posted to Account is RMS

    A useful feature would be some sort of validation when credit card charges are processed. Currently we have a number of charges processed within RMS and properly processed by our merchant account (OpenEdge) but the result of the charge is not posted to the RMS account. This makes us look bad to our guests (because of double charges to their credit card), makes bank reconciliations very difficult and costs us time and money.

  9. I would like an error message to pop up when a new client contains same details as an existing client profile

    There's too many duplicated clients in RMS due to the user not selecting an existing client profile. it would be good if the system was smart enough to recognise either an email or mobile phone number as already existing. then pop up a window that says.. this client detail already exists. are you sure you want to create a new client? or revert to existing.

  15. Implement a quicker way to review and update property rate rules across multiple properties

    The current interface to review and update property rate rules is quite tedious to use when reviewing and updating changes to multiple rates across multiple properties.

    A cleaner interface needs to be developed where you can view and update the details in a table across multiple properties, similar to how rate adjustment are updated.

  16. I would like PENCIL reservations not to create client profiles.

    At parks we want to be able to hold a spot on the booking chart for a limited amount of time (like pencil res), however we don't want to create a client profile as we haven't collected the persons details yet... and they haven't booked with us before. Example, Steve calls and all we know is his first name and mobile. As we have first name, surname, mobile and email as mandatory fields.. when a pencil res is made we are unable to complete the details. Can we have the ability to do a HOLD reservation, for a limited amount…

  19. How to fix not receiving confirmation code of Facebook?

    There are some scenarios where you will required facebook confirmation code like at the time of signing up, resetting the password of facebook and more.
    - If you are signing up for Facebook account but not receiving confirmation code on email throug facebook, then what you can do is:
    1. Check you have entered the correct email address.
    2. The mail maybe in the spam folder, so you can check your mail there.
    3. After failing to receive confirmation code on email, you can choose to send confirmation code on phone number instead of email account.

  20. Requirement Template Date setup

    When creating a requirement we currently have the option to 'include or exclude TO date' (DOD), however it would be super handy to be able to do the same with 'FROM date' (DOA), so that when added it defaults to the template settings, therefore not requiring manual adjustments.

    This would help when adding things like Complimentary Breakfast etc
