RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  2. Customise the Fields Displayed in the Booking Chart Data Window

    I would like to edit the 'data window' content in the booking chart

    I would like to edit the 'data window' content in the booking chart, we would like to see mobile number and bedding configuration and we wish to remove the 'dwelling slide' as it's not a feature we use. Apparently the data window is hard coded and cannot be customised.

    We are pleased to advise that each user can customise their Booking Chart Data Window to only display the fields they need to see. This feature update is currently available in the RMS Beta environment and will be publicly available with the next released update to the Live environment.

  3. Customise RMS online booking screens

    Guests and owners have been complaining that it is not easy to follow the booking process online.
    It would be great to have the option to have amend wording on these screens. EG Show rates changed to BOOK NOW.
    It would be good to have rates and availability calendar show up automatically and if the searched dates are unavailable have some wording that states something to the effect of 'No availability for your chosen dates, select availability calendar to see available dates or search for your chosen dates on another property'.

    A much more simple booking process would be fantastic.

  4. Message Centre Notification on Add Requirement from Guest Portal

    An alert to come up when someone adds a requirement through the guest portal.

    its great that with the new feature i can now display optional extras for guests in the portal. However some optional extras require arrangements to be made ahead of time like booking a tour or some hire equipment.
    Could we get an alert in the message centre when someone adds an optional extra in the guest portal so it can be actioned immediately?

  5. Re-configure Void Report

    Like most hotel managers or FOMs, I look at the Void report daily to check if everything was legit. Currently, a large number of transactions, which are not true Voids, show up on this report. For example, if charges are transferred from one account to another, although the user clicks on the transfer buttons, RMS shows it as a Voided charge on the Void report. If there is a Group where charges were supposed to go to the group master, but didn't until departure for example, RMS transfers all relevant charges to the group master on request.   6. Add State & Country to Booking Chart Data Window

    Thank you for the recent changes to the Data Window options. We though love to see State & Country shown there to. In these COVID times it would make managing bookings and expected cancellations if we could see these fields easily in the booking without having to open them. Nor does it show on any Arrival Reports.

    This version is currently in our Release Candidate (RC) Environment and will be included in the next RMS 9+ Live Release.

  7. Option to Display Tax Exclusive Rate on RMS IBE for Tax Exclusive Properties

    RMS IBE give us an option to REMOVE "Full Rate"

    A significant goal of a hotel website is to attract clients to book direct as opposed to using an OTA. Expedia and Booking.com display rates as untaxed. They do this to make the rates seem like a BEST deal. When a potential client is comparing rates on a hotel website to the OTA, it is a negative to see a higher price so prominently on the page! I fail to understand why it is even there. There is no benefit at all in showing the maximum a traveler must pay…

  8. Create Rate - Option to Create Nightly Rate for Multiple Reservation Dates

    Create Rate for multiple nights at once

    For the Create Rate functionality that allows a user to post a night's accommodation in advance:
    Currently we can only post one night at a time so this is time consuming if we’re trying to post the rate forward for say 30 nights. Could this be enhanced so that there's an option to post multiple dates with one posting rather than being only able to post one night at a time?

    Currently available in our RC and Beta environment and coming soon with the next public Live release of RMS 9+ is the ability to configure the number of nights the Create Rate option will apply at a time, including the ability to create the rate for the full length of stay at once when using Nightly Rate and whether or not the rate should be created on check-in.

  9. Improve Account Printing Efficiency

    Installing a new printer and Smart Printing Service

    We had to install a new printer over the weekend. It's been a long time since the last install so we had forgotten how to get it into smart printing service. It was not working like the printer before. I rang help and was told that the smart printing service is being fazed out and RMS must generate the report to print. After hanging up I worked out how to reinstall smart printing service for our new printer and it works as we like it.

    Due to advancements in browser applications and printing options Smart Printing is no longer required within the RMS application.

    Tax Invoices and Statements can be quickly printed or emailed from an account using the drop down menu. Selecting ‘Print’ will generate the Statement or Tax Invoice on screen and automatically open the browser’s print dialogue box to quickly send the job to the chosen printer.

  11. Quick Quote - Ability to Type in Category or Rate Type Drop Down Menus

    HI Team,

    Can you please reinstate the ability to type in the Rate Type Field at the top of the quick quote screen.

    This functionality has been lost since the last update, it would save a lot of time scrolling through the list of rates if you can jump to the required rate type by starting to type it.

    This functionality already exists when in a reservation.

  12. Clickable Calendar Icons on New IBE

    With updated IBE release, the arrival & departure usability has changed. When a user clicks on the icon for Arrival denoting a calendar, users expect the availability calendar to appear. However, nothing happens until you click in the field. Same for Departure field.

    Can make it so the user can click on the calendar icon and have the availability calendar appear?

    The idea is to make it as user friendly for the potential guest as possible, If the guest has issues, they won't book online, and will go elsewhere.

  13. Add Guest Nights to the Flash Report

    Add Bed Nights Calculation to the Flash Report

    Currently the MTD & FYTD Pax count values only show the pax count per booking. E.g. 2 pax stay 3 nights, this is counted as 2 pax, a bed nights calculation would show this as 6 pax.
    Can this be amended or another calculation added to show bed nights

  14. Custom Housekeeping Area Statuses

    Housekeeping: additional/customizable clean statuses for rooms

    When managing housekeeping statuses in RMS, we'd like additional clean statuses other than clean, dirty, and inspect.

    Ideally, if we can add/rename statuses based on our needs, we can manage housekeeping in detail. An example would be a progress indicator in percentages.

  15. Add Booking Source Filter to the Arrivals List Report

    i would like a booking source filter added to the arrival list so i can specifically look at just one booking source

    if you were able to filter out booking sources on an arrival list it would be handy cause you could then for example just bring up booking.com or direct bookings and check all the booking as up to date faster. By filtering you can look at just channels that pay direct instead of having to search through lists and lists of bookings.

    I do not see why you think the RMS T & C is more important than

    Idea. Allow the subscribers of your booking engine to have some things individualised.
    I do not see why you think the RMS T & C is more important than the property owners T & C. I am far from happy to see our T & C has been pushed down for our guests booking on our website.   17. Weekend days to be dark grey again so that it is easy to see the weekly rhythm on the bookings screen

    Saturdays and Sundays used to be dark and it was helpful. It was removed in the recent upgrade unnecessarily :(

    Saturday & Sunday have been restored to a darker shade on the Booking Chart in all versions of RMS. The first day of the month is also shaded an even darker colour to highlight the rollover of a new month when viewing the Booking Chart.

  18. Default "BILL TO" in Channel Management Agent setup (like in Company setup)

    We would like to set a specific agent to BILL TO: AGENT as the default but there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the Channel Management setup screen to do this.

    Please note that it is the agent that is located on the channel management page, not an agent that we are manually creating.

    We noticed that if we create a company, there is the option to set a default BILL TO option. (in EXTRA DETAILS) This is what we are trying to replicate in the online agent setup

  19. Add Booking Stay Dates to Reservation Header

    This would allow users to reference this important information in all areas of the booking. If using the Tour Desk and Transfer Modules the booking stay dates are not visible when working in these tabs. In addition when making bookings for tours or transfers the date defaults to 'today's' date which makes bookings in these areas more prone to user error and less efficient if the user has to write down booking dates or close out of tab to obtain the correct dates.

    In other tabs there is a reference of some sort to the booking stay dates but not…

  20. Reservation Requirements- Bring back Save/Next

    Could previously add multiple requirements on a reservation without having to save, exit and then click back into "Add Requirement".
    Res > Add Requirement > Save/Next Button is no longer showing

    Now have to Save requirement, exit and then go back to "add requirement". Makes it more time consuming when adding more than 1 requirement to a reservation.
