RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Digital Reg card upgrade

    we are a pay at checkin resort and it would be really nice to be able to use the table as a full guest check in process, when using the digital registration card. When the digital registration card is processed by the guest it would also be great if they did the credit card authorization disclosure and amount they agree to pay. One way to make this easy to do would be to allow the digital registration card to have additional pages be added by check box and those additional pages could have merge able fields.     Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS 9+.

    The guest self check-in options described are currently available with the use of the Guest Portal, which can be setup to allow guests to check-in and make a payment if connected with a Payment Gateway.

    The digital registration card can be included in this self check-in process to obtain consent and signature from customers as part of their registration.

  3. We need to be able to change the number of people in a booking over different dates

    We need to be able to change the number of people in a booking over different dates, for example day 1- 2 adults, day 2- 4 adults.
    This is a basic feature, which will eliminate current incorrect occupancy stats.

    Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS 9+.

    Currently available on the Guest tab of reservations is the ability to specify the reservation dates each guest is included in the occupancy of the reservation.

    Whilst viewing a reservation, navigate to the Guest tab, select a Guest and choose the ‘Edit Dates’ button. This will display a screen to set the individual dates this particular guest is staying.

    If a discount is entered on the group master, this needs to be reflected to all attached siblings, it is so time consuming to enter a discount into 80 attached rooms.

  6. We have great trouble believing that modifications and cancellations do not automatically drop into our booking chart.

    Please rectify the above problem soon. We have always been with Siteminder at previous motels and they do this easily..

    Data Window

    It would be good if the the Data Window on left hand side of the bookings sheet was bigger when you scroll over the apartments down the side. I can only see a few words about the Apartment Attributes. As some of my apartments have different bed configurations and people ask me where the air conditioner is located. It would be good to have this information in there for easy access.

  8. Reinstate the function that allows a "transaction comment" to be printed on an Account Statement.

    Reinstate the function that allows a "transaction Comment" to be printed on an Account Statement.

    Some transactions, such as a credit, require a "comment" to better explain the transaction.

    These comment fields used to print on a customers statement, now they do not.

    The "Print Statement Option" accessed within an individual reservation's account will print the transaction comment.

    However when printing statements for all customers from the "Reports Accounting Statements" menu, transaction comments will not be printed.

    We had a particular credit that was applied to 160 residents, and we had to access each account individually and print out each…

    Resinstate the function that allows you to search & select/replace a repeat guest profile in existing bookings
    This function was available until fairly recently - the new way of matching repeat guest profiles is not time effective

  11. Security Deposit

    Previously in RMS cloud when taking a deposit the system would ask if it was a security deposit & you could confirm this. RMS 9 does not and when doing our daily GL entries it just shows as accommodation/site fees & does not differentiate that it is a deposit for accounting purposes. Could this please be looked at.

  12. Public Holidays - stop clients being able to book in or check out on these dates eg Christmas Day and Boxing day

    For a small business we are closed public holidays so we do not wish clients to be able to check in or check out on Christmas Day or Boxing Day - we have a 4 night minimum and with the soft close they can't book in on those dates which is great, however people can come before Christmas for 4 nights and leaves it open for them to check out on these days Christmas and boxing - Hope this can be fixed - the soft close should be for both check in and check outs

  13. Allow for options other than the "i" icon when showing unavailable options online

    Currently, the "i" icon is shown where the "BOOK" icon would normally be if that option was available. It would be fantastic to be able to use something other than the "i" icon, which leads folks to believe they just need to read more to book, when in fact, the option is not available. Perhaps you could add a "NOT AVAILABLE" or "FULLY BOOKED" icon, or allow us to customize it to suit our needs.

  14. When reservations are created online via the "Book Now Button" need option to not allow children to be selected.

    Need ability to not allow reservations with children. If Field Maintenance is set to have "children" as not visible. Option should be removed from RMSOnline.

  16. when emailing receipts at the moment it just says "Regards, business name".

    It would be great if we could personalise this first touch point, to make our business stand out from all the other Junk mail, rather than what is clearly a computer generated email

  17. Software Updates at night

    RMS always updates mid afternoon, which is the busiest time for us. It seems like we always have 5 people in the office checking in when RMS wants to update. Most times it is not a problem, but last time we could not take payments until it had restarted and downloaded the new version.

  18. Update nightly rates automatically every night at a set time

    Update nightly rates automatically
    I would love it if we could update nightly rates at the same time set every night automatically.
    At the moment I have to set an alarm on my phone every night at 7.30 to remind me to do them. If I am not home and I am out I quite often then forget to do them.
    Or even if I could do them from my smart phone as I always carry that on me.

  19. Cancellation Reason Pop Up Box

    Can the Business Lost area be expanded to a Pop Up Box that if made mandatory when a staff member cancels a reservation that a box appears making them select a reason "Why" the guest cancels rather than them having to remember to fill in the business lost section within the reservation

  20. Highlight the site when on the date on booking chart

    Can the GRID show that the date your on is the correct site by highlighting the SITE?? (It highlights the SITE when you click the site? but not when you click the date??) I sent a Jing video to hopefully clearify this better? Thank You....http://screencast.com/t/3fyBmBkqg
