SMS Improvements
We
ve noticed that when a guest receives an SMS from us through RMS, the guests phone shows a mobile number at the top of the SMS. What is happening now as there are so many hackers out there, guests are not looking at these messages as much now due to this reason, therefore not receiving our message, especially now during the Covid Pandemic. My suggestion is very simple, why doesn
t the SMS message come up with the motels name, for example Beechworth Motor Inn at the top of the SMS and below is the message. For example

Currently available when using the 1-Way SMS module in RMS is the ability to setup an SMS Name. The SMS Name will be used to display as the Sender when sending an SMS from RMS.

Due to limitations by SMS providers the Property Name cannot be displayed as the SMS Name when using 2-Way SMS in RMS. Using the Property Name as the SMS Name will prevent recipients from replying to the SMS.

Tow Vehicle field should be mandatory!!!
This information is very important and determines which sites a guest can fit on. We can lose money without this information!!! For guests who don't have a tow vehicle you can simply add a field "No tow vehicle" We are getting guests that don't put their tow vehicle in because it's not mandatory. This makes it much harder to figure out which RV site would be best to assign them too. Please fix this in the next release. - Thank you

Currently available in RMS is the ability to set fields as mandatory for both user input and the RMS Internet Booking Engine.
Setting a field as ‘Mandatory on Save’ will require this information to be input before a reservation can be created.

Reservations Made/Modified Report
Because Quest properties are now paperless, I would like to be able to check bookings made the day before by reception staff members.
Can a report be made just to check the details of a booking made by users each day. This would help in keeping all reservations streamline and making sure that they are correctly inputted before the guests arrive.

Currently available in all versions of RMS is the Reservations Made/Modified Report.
The Reservations Made/Modified Report can be used to report on all reservations made or updated by a user for the selected date range.

In addition to this report for auditing changes made to reservations by a user it is also possible to set fields as mandatory on the reservation to enforce data entry by a user for the required fields before a reservation can be saved.

better reports
RMS reporting is lackluster compared to other platforms. Why can't I run a simple occupancy report for the year and see the occupancy by month? If I hadn't already had three properties with RMS, I would have switched to Resnexus simply for their reports. I think Campground master might even have better reports. I have 5 properties with RMS and I can't believe I can run a report for 2020 that has each month of occupancy and/or revenue.

Currently available in all versions of RMS is the Occupancy & Revenue Comparison Report including a Monthly, Weekly or Category breakdown and the ability to group by Property or Travel Agent.
The Occupancy & Revenue Comparison Report is an interactive Operational Revenue report providing a breakdown and comparison of statistics and operational revenue year on year for the selected date range.

Currently available in all versions of RMS is the SMS module.
The 1-Way SMS Module enables sending SMS from RMS and can be used on an individual reservation, In/Out Movements, as Triggered Correspondence or for Marketing or targeted sending in bulk using Report Writer.

Duplicate Booking Feature
We constantly have multiple reoccurring guests booking rooms weekly for months in advance,
I do appreciate that selecting guest accounts keeps their account details on file but I still need to fill out 9+ compulsory reservation segments, then type notes or copy & paste, manually update rates and then add requirements.
If I could look up a guests previous booking press duplicate and all I would need to do is change dates it would make things extremely easier.1 voteThank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.
We are pleased to advise that Copy Reservation & Repeat Reservation are features currently available in all versions of RMS.
Copy Reservation allows you to duplicate everything on an existing reservation and change the dates with the option of changing the selected Category and/or Area if the same Area is not available for the new dates.

Repeat Reservation can be used to create a recurring sequence of reservations for a guest that returns at a set frequency, eg. Every 2 weeks for 2 nights.

Scan & Store Guest IDs
I would like to be able to scan guest ID's to Guest Accounts
It would be good if we could scan guest ID's to their corresponding guest account for easy identification and to save us asking returning guests to provide ID if they have already done so before.

There are several options available in RMS for storing photo identification on a Guest Profile depending on your preferences.
The RMS Guest Portal can be configured to allow guests to upload their photo id which is then saved and viewable on their Guest Profile in RMS.

We have an interface partner, Adria Scan which can be connected to for the purpose of guest identification.

Alternatively if you already have a scanner at the property the guest ID can be scanned and the file saved on the Photo tab or Correspondence tab using the ‘Received in’ function and adding the ID file as an attachment.

Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.
Currently available in RMS is the ability to customise how the Rate View will be displayed on the RMS IBE including choosing to display the Nightly Rate or Total Rate only.
On the RMS IBE Rate & Availability page after performing a search guests can choose either the ‘Availability View’ or ‘View Rates’ to see the complete rate grid with the option selected.

Auto add cleaning and linen charges to be added to an owner booking
Currently if an owner books linen and clean is not added to the booking as it is for all other reservations. its easily overlooked as you have to manually enter it. Cleaning and linen should auto add as i would think having a clean and linen is the norm and not having it would be the optional deviation from the everyday process.

Currently available in RMS when using End of Month Expenses is the ability to automatically charge the Owner these cleaning and related fees on Owner Bookings even if the Rate is set to 0.00.

Have CC details entered into guest/corporate/owner portals tokanise to ensure PCP compliance
Currently when a user enters their credit card details through the portals, these details drop into RMS in the guest or reservation fields.
As this data is not encrypted this is not PCP compliant. If this information was stored in the vault or tokenised so it would be protected would be far more productive and allow much greater use of these portals.

Currently available in RMS is the ability to connect a Payment Gateway which can be used in RMS, on the RMS IBE and in the Guest and Corporate Portals to securely obtain guest’s credit card information in a PCI Compliant manner as well as process payments.
Using the exposed credit card fields on the Guest Details is a non-PCI compliant method and is not recommended. These can be disabled in Field Maintenance setup.

Add a date range option to the housekeepers report so you can notify staff of assigned cleans in advance
We have cleaning contractors not an inhouse cleaning team. Consequently cleaners need to know when they have work on in advance. Currently the housekeepers report only allows to see the cleans for 1 date which is useless. Everything is there for it to be a fantastic facility but the thing missing is a date RANGE option. With a date range you can then select the housekeeper assigned to the area and notify them in advance all their cleans in advance for say a month or 2 in advance and then schedule it as a report.

Service Requests ... saving as drafts?
The opportunity to go back to the database to check on information in a service request would be a good feature.
It's frustrating when needing to provide lots of detail to not be able to go back into the database.1 voteThank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.

To simplify logging a service request in the scenario you have described we recommend opening the Service Request screen in a new tab to leave your main RMS window available for reference or continuation of work.

I would like more standardised reporting options so that I can better understand where my business is coming from.
You currently have standard reports that will provide performance data by company & travel agent. It would be good if there were options for this type of reporting that pull from market segments and booking source fields.

I would like an indefinite time for RMS to stay open
The 1 hour increment is still not enough for us. If we were to increase the time indefinitely then we would not have to worry about re-logging into RMS every hour.

I would like to put Company name on reservation screen to be able to make out invoice to company instead of guest name only

I would like there to be able to put in a count of microwaves / roll aways that we have on site
We need to be able to put in a count of microwaves / roll aways that we have on site and as they are booked as a requirement, it gives us an alert as to how many we have available on that particular date.

Confirmation when changing room type
When moving rooms around on the booking grid, it would be good to be able to click an "are you sure" you want to make this change button on the booking grid if it is moving into a new "room type" or "date range". This avoids any accidental moves!

Currently available in RMS is the ability to disable confirmation messages from displaying on the Booking Chart & Reservation Screen when changing or moving a reservation.
If a user is not seeing these messages when performing these tasks in RMS it is likely that these confirmation messages have already been disabled.
The below Help Centre article includes instructions to disable the messages and if you would like to re-enable them follow the steps and set ‘Allow’ to ‘Yes’ at Step 4.

Ability to Group Room Types
We have areas that are different "room types" but sold similarly and physically in the same area (cleaned together), it would be great to be able to group these by Floor, or Room type rather than printing by Site Type (as we might have (for example) a disabled room, or a twin vs king bed so requires a slightly different "type" which is then printed on a different page (Note: We do not have room numbers in order as some room numbers are repeated)) this would save paper! This would be same for occupancy % as we have 4 "room…

Currently available in RMS is the ability to setup Groupings and apply these to Categories (Room Types) which can then be used to display by the selected Grouping on reports such as the Housekeepers Report.

I would like the option to stop sell at certain at certain timeframes
Due to COVID-19, operating business hours have decreased, therefore staff on-site is limited. The only option we've found is to stop sell manually every day to prevent bookings from coming through after staffed hours.

The data window bubble on the booking chart.. It would be fantastic if it remembered user setting.
The data window on the booking chart does show handy information, but it tends to get in the way of other, more pertinent information and tends to get 'stuck' sometimes, further hiding useful information.
It is easy to toggle it off, but it becomes a chore having to toggle it every time we log on.
It would be fantastic if RMS remembered user preference and kept it off until turned on again manually.

The Data Window can be set to be on by default for a user by setting this in the Booking Chart Options, the Help Centre article below will guide you through these steps.
