Improve the mobile booking experience for guests
The mobile guest facing booking engine is not great. When you land on that page on mobile, instead of showing the information about your accommodation, it says "About Us".
Then the booking system should automatically offer the availability calendar and give instructions on booking as it's not simple to use.
Then when you get to "Add on Extras", it doesn't show any information/description about the Extras. This is where we have a chance to upsell and this should be an absolute.
Also, customizing of the mobile screen to add your own booking information and instructions would be great. You also don't have any control over the screen (no background picture).
Most people I would think use their mobile device or tablet to look for a place to stay and if you advertise on FB or Instagram, that is the most commonly used access for these social media platforms and therefore the most used way for someone who sees your add to look at your site and then try to book. I would think this should be a priority as the more difficult you make it to book the more likely a customer is to give up and move on.
I'm new to RMS and after being amazed by the program, I was disappointed in the guest experience for the mobile user. I'm concerned I will lose bookings because of this. I did see another comment where the owner said he has phone calls from guests struggling with the mobile interface.
Because of the confusion with the mobile version, I'm going to have to include instructions in my accommodation information, when I'd prefer just to talk about the room (tents in my case, as we are setting up a glamping site.) But I'll have to lead with booking instructions for each tent.
I hope you make this a priority and get it changed. It seems to me that the single, most important thing in a booking program is the front-facing guest experience. Thanks for reading.
