RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

For assistance with using RMS visit the RMS Help Centre or go to Help > Service Requests in RMS and log a new Service Request.

    Currently available for connection in the RMS Channel Manager is Hotel Bonanza. This can be setup in RMS 9+ by going to Setup > Online Bookings > Channel Management and viewing the ‘Unconnected Channels’ section.

  2. We need a default Bill to: tab under Travel Agent just like there is under Company.

    We need a default Bill To: tab under Travel Agent just like there is under Company. Then when you are setting up a TA you only need to set up the Bill To: field once so when it comes to guest check out, it is already pre-set and staff can not miss allocating it to the correct place it is meant to be sent to. Thanks :)

    Currently in Setup > Accounting > Accounting Options it is possible to set the Default Bill To option as Guest, Company, Travel Agent or Wholesaler for each Account Type.

  3. Online Booking home page 'Caravan Type ' & "Caravan Length"

    Online Booking home page 'Caravan Type ' & "Caravan Length" wording confuses many customers who are booking with a tent.
    The issue could be rectified simply by changing to:
    Caravan/Tent Type & Caravan/Tent Size
    We have daily phone calls from guests who are confused by this which wastes our time and resources when RMS could be handling these bookings.

    To update the wording seen by your prospective guests for the Caravan Type & Caravan Length fields, in RMS 9+ go to Setup > Property Options > Labels > System and update the ‘Dwelling’ system label to be ‘Caravan/Tent’ or any other label you may wish to use that is more relevant to your guests. This will then be reflected on your RMS Online Booking pages as well as throughout RMS.

  4. Print OTA Notes

    It would be nice to be able to print OTA notes using the Report Writer.
    I have been told that you can print Reservation notes and Guest notes and almost any other notes but no OTA notes......wonder why ?

  5. Merge field into the subject line of our form letter emails eg. Res number easier to refer to the booking when guest reply.

    It would make it easier to refer to a booking by Reservaton number as some guests respond with little information on their email, eg. no surnames, different email accounts etc.

  6. Book Now Button to display number of rooms/apartments left for that category

    This creates a sense of urgency to book, and a fear of missing out. Booking.com always does this to encourage bookings.

    Currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to setup a counter for when to display how many Areas are left on the RMS IBE booking pages.

    This option can be found in Setup > Online Bookings > Online Options on the Category Setup tab.

  7. Property Name on Owner Statements subject line.

    Property Name on Owner Statements subject line.
    It would be useful to put the property name on the subject line so that when a response is sent back to you, you do not have to try and find what property the owner belongs to by searching by name or email address.

  8. Minimum Stays should not be able to overlap when booking online

    When a guest books online for example 3 nights, if the minimum stay is set to 1 night the first night, then 7 nights thereafter, they are still able to book online for the 3 nights even though the following nights are 7 night minimum. I don't believe this should be allowed. Defeats the purpose of having minimum stays set for certain periods.

    Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.

    Currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to setup both Minimum Length of Stay on Arrival as well as a Soft Close, otherwise referred to as a Minimum Stay Through Reservation.

    For your scenario, we would recommend setting up a Soft Close to ensure that guests arriving earlier than the 7 night minimum but staying across it will need to book the minimum of 7 nights in order to stay for those dates.

  9. Data window on left

    Data Window

    It would be good if the the Data Window on left hand side of the bookings sheet was bigger when you scroll over the apartments down the side. I can only see a few words about the Apartment Attributes. As some of my apartments have different bed configurations and people ask me where the air conditioner is located. It would be good to have this information in there for easy access.

  10. RMS Sundries to be fielded by 'most frequently used'

    We use the Commissions paid field to record our commission from WOTIF, this is a secondary box. We would like to suggest RMS sundries can be set by most frequently used. This would speed up the processing time of the WOTIF payments and commission for the office. Thanks Tessa (Alex Beach Cabins and Tourist Park)
