RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Pre-auth option for total rate + flat deposit per reservation

    We'd like to request a new pre-authorization option: "Total Rate plus set amount per Reservation."
    Right now the closest options are "Total Rate plus set amount per night" and "Total Rate plus set percentage of Total Rate," but neither of these gives us what we actually need, which is to pre-auth the full stay amount plus a single flat deposit (e.g. $100) regardless of how many nights the guest is staying.

  2. RMS Pay - Portal for Pay by Link Transaction Detail

    It would be very helpful to be able to see transaction details for Pay by Link transactions so we could see why a customer's payment failed. Currently the customer only gets a 'something went wrong' message so we end up getting calls as they think it's our system that has an issue. And we then need to contact RMS Support for more information.

  3. Improve Arrival Date and Pricing Adjustment Logic in RMS Cloud

    In the current version of RMS Cloud, it is possible to change the arrival date for guests, but this adjustment does not affect the pricing for their stay. This limitation creates a significant issue for properties managing guests with varied lengths of stay within the same booking period.

    Currently, there is no automated pricing adjustment that reflects this type of arrangement. Guests are still charged the full price based on the original check-in and check-out dates, even though they are not occupying the room for the entire duration. This leads to the following:

  5. Secondary Deposit Retention Dropdown for Cancellations

    Add a conditional secondary dropdown to the cancellation workflow. Once a Cancellation Reason is selected, a second field should appear allowing the user to select the applicable deposit retention status/percentage.

    Example:
    If Cancellation Reason = Weather, the user would then choose from options such as:

    100% Deposit Retained
    50% Deposit Retained
    0% Deposit Retained / Full Refund

    This enhancement would help standardise how deposit outcomes are recorded against cancellations and improve operational clarity and reporting.

  6. Allowing user to see the history of all resorts without granting them access for other resorts in the group.

    Need to review the visit history of multiple resorts for all resort personnel while ensuring that access to information about other resorts remains restricted. Currently, personnel can only view visit details for their own property. Want to emphasize that access to information regarding other properties should continue to be restricted as it is now.

  8. We would like to check if RMS has any feature or restriction that can ensure residents upload a clear passport image during the online pre-r

    Specifically, is there a way to make the system prompt users to position their passport exactly within a camera frame or guide box before uploading? We have encountered several cases where the uploaded passport images were unclear, making it difficult for our team to verify the documents.

  9. Improve Notifications & Task Automation

    Suggest adding customizable notifications (email/SMS/in-app) based on department and booking status, along with the ability to automatically trigger recurring tasks (e.g., housekeeping reminders, maintenance, guest follow-ups, orbit kick).   10. I would like to add 'Requirement' to data window

    I would like to be able to show 'Requirements' in the data window when I hover over a res. It is currently not an option to select in customising the Data Window.
    It will make it easier to see requirements for a res at a glance instead of going into each booking, or generating the Requirements List.

  13. I would like to be able to set up a cancellation rule that allows cancellations AFTER the default check-in time

    Many corporate contracts demand same day cancellations and often this can be after the official check-in time of 2pm (eg. 6pm same day CXL). Currently there is no way to set up this rule in RMS.

    I hope there is a room type price linking function — where one room type can be set as the base price, and other room types are linked to it. This way, when the base room type’s price is updated, the linked room types’ prices will automatically adjust accordingly

  17. Make invoices more editable eg add room type & remove room number

    We are writing to request the addition of a feature that allows us to edit guest invoices or invoice settings.

    For us specifically the addition of room types and the removal of room numbers from guest invoices.

    Visible room numbers have been causing complications, particularly with guest expectations prior to arrival. This is especially problematic for group bookings and events such as weddings, where guests often assume that the room number shown is fixed and confirmed. This has led to disputes and logistical challenges on-site when changes to room allocations are necessary due to operational needs.

  18. More options for dashboard customization.

    Can you please consider adding more options for the dashboard. It is great to have but need more options to give us what we need to see quickly on a daily basis. I would love to have the option to have the Debtor's Ledger in a pie graph form showing 30/60/90. I would also like to see the occupancy in a pie graph with the option to choose from the different site types.
