RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  5. To Generate Group Confirmation Letters from the Group Master Containing Key Info

    We are looking into creating a confirmation letter for groups, where we can generate a table from the Group Master in one go, which contains information for individual/sibling bookings within the group. The current merge fields do not allow us to capture the information we need on a single table. The table should include:

    Group Confirmation Number - 16235389

    Sibling Conf Numbers
    Guest Name

    Arrival Date

    Departure Date

    No of Adults and Children
    Room Type
    Number of Nights
    Nightly Rate (excluding taxes)
    Total Rate (excluding taxes)

  6. Pop-Up to Alert User That a Similar Booking Exists to Avoid Duplicate Reservations

    Before saving a reservation, a pop-up alert can be shown informing users that another booking exists with the same name, dates of stay, and property, to avoid duplicate bookings. User can either proceed to save, or not continue with the booking.

  7. I would like to update the Add On feature so we can drag to parking

    I would like to be able to drag the Add On to a different area. We are frequently needing to move the reserved parks around to fit in the limited spaces available. I would like the Add On feature to allow us to click on the carpark reservation in the Booking Chart and drag it to a new car space, the same as we can move reservations from one room to another?

    When we cut the keys would be great if allow to send also the guests names details to the encoder. At the moment it will not send any names details to visionline encoder

  11. Attach Requirement to a Rate Code

    Some rate code comes with value adds so it will be good to be able to attach requirements to it ie FOC airport transfers, breakfast, so that we can generate a report for it.

  12. Do discovery calls with larger hotels regarding pain points

    Many areas of the setup seem like they would be ok for a small hotel but quickly become cumbersome. It would be good to do discovery calls as to the pain points for your larger/growing customers so that the PMS can adapt and keep up with some of the other options on the market for user friendliness on a setup point of view.

  13. Export functions on Room Type & Rate Type Setup Screens

    It would be great to get an export function on some of the setup screens for the following reasons.

    • Record setup at a point in time,
    • Export, manipulate and delegate to someone to make the changes
    • So you can do some lookup functions etc to be able to get a condensed list of things that aren't the way they should be
    • ID's such as Rate Type ID and Room Type ID are only on these screens, when required for Channel Manager CSV Uploading you have to manually type it all from two different screens.

  14. Rate Type Reordering currently very time consuming

    Maintaining Rate Type orders so staff know which rate to sell first is very important. Currently when creating a new Rate Type, it inevitably doesn't fall where you would like it, you have to select that individual Rate Type and press an up or down arrow until it is where you want it. If you have 200 Rate Types, you click 200 times to get it from top to bottom.

    Suggest either a 2-column setup where you put in the number, and it bumps the Rate Type that currently has that number down the list by 1, or a drag-and-drop…

  16. late checkout full automation

    Newbook has the facility where it will recognise if the site or cabin is available the next day and send an automated text to the guest to offer a late checkout. The guest can then respond with a particular response, this will then activate for a charge to be raised and then park staff will charge the credit card on file. Would be great to see RMS have a similar option.

  17. I'd like more options for group reservations.

    A clear separation between multiple bookings (2 or 3 rooms) and actual group 10/20 rooms.
    Also reports option. It is important to our yielding that we are aware of the groups we have on the books, once it has different cancelations policy and cutoff periods.
    I know RMS offers allotments, but it does not give us much options or reports on it.

  18. Nationalities in order of roomnights and revenue

    Need a report on nationalities in decreasing order by roomnights and revenue with the option to choose one or the other.
    Nationalities are key for a property strategy and the fact that we have to manually create a report starting from the alphabetical order is not efficient, can lead to mistakes and is super time consuming.

  19. Allow us to schedule Auto Area Allocation rules to automatically allocate a certain no. of days in advance of arrival, defined by property

    Currently the Auto Area Allocation process is a manual task to select bookings and auto allocate. Ideally we'd like a job to do the auto allocation to be able to be scheduled to run against unallocated bookings a certain no of days prior to arrival

    Would be great if you could have length of booking and lead time to arrival date to be defined by property and properties opted in or out

  20. Override dwelling size

    It's a good idea for new staff to have the new updated warning window for the size of a dwelling not to fit on a site. However, can it be overridden as well, please? It's very frustating when lots of sites have been allocated bigger dwellings, perhaps because we know the people have the ability to park on a site or the particular dwelling will fit after talking to the guest. We can't even write a comment in the notes and save that existing reservation, because it simply won't accept that person, on a site that size. As owners we…
