RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. I'd like more options for group reservations.

    A clear separation between multiple bookings (2 or 3 rooms) and actual group 10/20 rooms.
    Also reports option. It is important to our yielding that we are aware of the groups we have on the books, once it has different cancelations policy and cutoff periods.
    I know RMS offers allotments, but it does not give us much options or reports on it.

  2. Nationalities in order of roomnights and revenue

    Need a report on nationalities in decreasing order by roomnights and revenue with the option to choose one or the other.
    Nationalities are key for a property strategy and the fact that we have to manually create a report starting from the alphabetical order is not efficient, can lead to mistakes and is super time consuming.

  3. Allow us to schedule Auto Area Allocation rules to automatically allocate a certain no. of days in advance of arrival, defined by property

    Currently the Auto Area Allocation process is a manual task to select bookings and auto allocate. Ideally we'd like a job to do the auto allocation to be able to be scheduled to run against unallocated bookings a certain no of days prior to arrival

    Would be great if you could have length of booking and lead time to arrival date to be defined by property and properties opted in or out

  4. Override dwelling size

    It's a good idea for new staff to have the new updated warning window for the size of a dwelling not to fit on a site. However, can it be overridden as well, please? It's very frustating when lots of sites have been allocated bigger dwellings, perhaps because we know the people have the ability to park on a site or the particular dwelling will fit after talking to the guest. We can't even write a comment in the notes and save that existing reservation, because it simply won't accept that person, on a site that size. As owners we…

  5. Housekeeping module - have an arrival block option (in addition to current departure block)

    I have set up departure cleaning blocks in Housekeeping tasks for a few properties that have a long clean, and there cannot be a same day arrival.

    This only puts an out-of-service block on the departure day, but what about pre-arrival blocks?

    For example, if there is a booking from 24-26 September, this departure block would then make it unavailable, and a new booking could then arrive on 27 September.

    However, there is the chance that a booking could be made from 22-24 September, which becomes an issue with a departure and arrival on the same day. Therefore, there needs…

  6. Show the reason and change status for Out of Order on Clean Screen

    It would be great if we could show the reason why a room is out of order on the Clean Screen. It would also be great if we could change the status/modify any out of order rooms on the clean screen instead of having to go to Utility and then Out of Order.

  9. Need the ability to change the automatic room assignment order within a specific room type

    Because RMS assigns the rooms within a room type in the same order all the time, the rooms with the lowest numerical room number get more use than the rooms with higher room numbers, so they wear faster. If this order could be manually manipulated or even set to a random selection, it would resolve this issue.

  10. RMS Pay Receipt to Guests / Property

    I believe that guests should receive a receipt via email when they make a payment via RMS Pay.

    Guests don't think to 'take a screenshot' when making a payment.

    Accommodation providers don't even get a 'notification of payment' for RMS Pay payments made. If property did receive a motivation of payment, then I would email a receipt to guests. But I also think an automatic receipt should be issued through the reservation management system.

    There is definitely room for improvement here to ensure better communication between guest and the property.

  11. I would like the Credit Card Gateway Token to show up if there is a Company Credit Card

    When a guest has a card in the gateway it shows up as green, so you know it is there. I would like this to show up a different colour when there is a credit card in the company account, in the guest reservation screen. This will save double handling. Currently it does not show up when booking a guest in under a company unless you go into the company itself.

  12. Apply Last Room Availability to certain Rate Types

    Be able to set some rate types to have Last Room Availability (LRA) so that regardless of whether a certain date has restrictions set or has a room type that has sold out, the select rate type can still sell based on house availability.

  14. I would like to remove owner email address when sedning correspondence to guest

    I would like to be able to remove the owners email address as an option when sending correspondence to guests.
    As it automatically comes up, it could be accidentally clicked (in a hurry) and send a confirmation letter to an owner by mistake.

  15. More flexibility with Max Pax Occupancy settings

    We have a room type where the max occupancy is set as 4. In this room type we can either accept a max of 2a + 2c OR 3a. We can't accept 3a + 1c or 4a. We can manage the 4a scenario via the rate tables and applying a max adult amount of 3, however there currently is no way to deal with the 3a + 1c scenario meaning this room type can be overbooked via our online distribution sources. This is a urgent requirement with no current solution as per RMS support.

  16. Easy Signature Collection Link

    An easy signature collection link that we can create and send to guests for their booking which will look identical/same as the signature collection in the Guest Portal but without the long and time consuming steps of the guest portal.

    We would like to be able to collect a signature for our Ts & Cs for our guests by simply sending a link if we are not troubling them with the guest portal.

    The signature collection would function the same in sending the signed digital form to correspondence.

  17. I would like the ability to schedule charges to be added for a future date in Job Management

    In Job Management we currently can setup scheduled charges however they can only be posted as of the current accounting date. It would be beneficial to have the ability to setup scheduled charges to start as of a date in the future.

  20. Custom Label Added Control Panel Restrictions

    Have the ability to name a restriction in Rate Manager for our own records, or put a note against it


    Just wondering if there is currently (or could be?) the ability to name a restriction for our own records, or put a note against it?

    For example, I've just applied some Clear Stop Sell and new Stop Sell, so that I could release the restriction of 25 Dec 2024 onwards for online bookings, and then place one from 8 Jan 2025 as I start rolling out availability to online.
