RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  2. Number of Nights Deposit

    Deposit rules need an option for number of nights. Instead of "first night" it would be very helpful to instead have "nights" and allow us to enter in a number...ie for monthly renters we would like to require 7 nights vs a % as it is easier to explain. Same with annuals.

  3. Discount Setup - Add Option for Amount to Apply Per Night or Total Stay

    Discount Setup - $ Discount applied to Total Rate OR Nightly Rate

    In the discount setup, the Amount Discount option is limited. If you have a nightly rate, you can only give a discount from the nightly rate. If you have a total rate, you can only give a discount on the total rate.

    Ex. I use the nightly rate display for guests, but I would like to give a dollar value, like $10 off, for the total amount, not the nightly amount. Yes, there is a workaround with the percentage to not exceed $20, but this workaround is not…

  4. Update Gender Options to be Inclusive

    Gender Option on Reservation/ Field Maintenece

    I would like to see/ edit the field maintenance when a guest is identifying as a particular gender, i.e. Male, Female, Trans, Non Binary etc.

    Collect vaccination and QR codes

    collecting a copy of a vax certificate and storing it is a pain in the neck. If it could somehow be collected as part of the precheckin that would be amazing

    Customise Booking Chart Data Window

    We require Data Window Booking Chart to display client email address as an option when reservation is hovered over. As the available fields are hard coded, we have been advised we cannot modify the available fields.

  7. Display Group Master Account Balance on In/Out Movements for Rate on Group = Yes

    I would like to be able to see group balance in the In/Out screen when rate is on group

    At present when the rate is on the group - the In/Out screen will show a $0.00 balance even if there are rooms with a balance owing. This is because the rate is on the group rather than the individual room. Seeing the group balance would assist in ensuring that nothing is accidentally missed - especially when multiple users are using the system.

  8. Add ID Icon to Guest Profile if Photo ID Uploaded in the Guest Portal

    Show if photo ID has been uploaded to the guest portal on a reservation

    I need to be able to see whether a guest has uploaded photo ID on a reservation, it is to many steps to click through client area and edit, how do i know if it has been uploaded without continually clicking in all the reservations and clicking on client etc.

  9. Option to 'Continue Session' After Auto Log-off

    Our RMS is set to auto log-off after 10 minutes of inactivity. This was due to our res agents frequently swapping between computers and using each others logins.

    Once the RMS session automatically logs out, is there an option to add "continue session"?
    Perhaps the user can re-enter their password which will allow them to continue with what they were working on? i.e. a particular booking, form letter etc.

    We love the auto log-off feature but it can be frustrating if are called away from computer for 10+ minutes and return to find everything gone once logged out.

  11. Ability to Select Which Account Sundry Charges Apply To on Setup

    Assign Default Tab to Sundry Items?

    Hi RMS Team,

    We currently have to manually transfer sundry charges from the accommodation tab to the extras tab (as per the help document https://helpcentre.rmscloud.com/accounting/transfer-sundry-charges-from-accommodation-to-extras). It would be nice if we configure the sundry items to automatically show up under extras. We are using all five tabs under Site Income (Account 1: Site Income, Account 2: Extras, Gas, Electricity, and Water).

    Example: We have golf carts as an Add On. When we add it to a site, we want the charge to show up under Extras, but right now it shows under Accommodations…

  12. Option to Select Account Requirement Charges Apply

    Create an option for requirements to route to the guest folio

    I would like for there to be an option to have requirements route to the guest folio versus the incidentals folio. Many of our "requirements" are essentially add-ons that the guest has to pay for directly. It would be beneficial to the option for all guest charges to be posted on one folio rather than having to transfer the incidental charges each time.

  13. Add 'None' as an RV Slide Option

    Same as Company, It would be great if we can search Travel Agent by tax code, it will avoid us to create duplicate TA. Tax code is unique.

  15. Requirement Charge Daily should be post when run night audit

    When tick Charge require daily, it will post the amount charge for whole period on the 1st day check in. It should be post one by one, day by day when run night audit. In case guest use some days then cancel , do not use any more, FO have to void.

  17. Make the Blue Shading in the Room Number Column move in line with which ever row you have the cursor on like it did previously.

    Prior to last update, the blue shading in the room number column would move in line with which ever row your cursor was on so that when you were entering a new booking you knew which room you were putting it in.
    Now this only happens when there is already a booking occupying that row which is of no use at all.

  18. I would like an option to have a limit on a Sundries option/ Countdown option or Parking Option TAB

    Parking spaces have been added into our system as accommodation. The only way to do it apparently!! If we could add parking as a sundry so that we have a limited amount of spaces that count down each time they are booked/ or added back in when free - this would mean we could book parking via sundries rather than as accommodation which is creating false occupancy %, and also creating groups within accommodation which in turn is making it a account balancing nightmare. Alternatively create a tab that links into accommodation just for parking please.

  19. I would like to see if correspondence has bounced or not

    I would like to be able to see in the correspondence tab if an email we have sent out has bounced. Similar to how it shows when being sent outside of RMS (eg via outlook)

  20. Add a new reservation status called "Postponed"

    Add a new reservation status called "Postponed" for reservations that are not cancelled but postponed and new dates are not yet decided on by the guest and any deposits held stay held on the original reservation accomm accounts until such a time the guest selects new dates and the res becomes confirmed again
