RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  2. Getting ETA on arrivals

    Hello,
    It would be really helpful to us if we could select ETA's to show on our arrivals list so we know what times people will be arriving. We can not currently seem to do this.

    We are pleased to advise that currently available in RMS 9+, the Arrival List Report includes the ETA column by default. When an ETA has been set against a reservation this will be displayed on the report for user convenience.

  3. When reservations are created online via the "Book Now Button" need option to not allow children to be selected.

    Need ability to not allow reservations with children. If Field Maintenance is set to have "children" as not visible. Option should be removed from RMSOnline.

  4. Update nightly rates automatically every night at a set time

    Update nightly rates automatically
    I would love it if we could update nightly rates at the same time set every night automatically.
    At the moment I have to set an alarm on my phone every night at 7.30 to remind me to do them. If I am not home and I am out I quite often then forget to do them.
    Or even if I could do them from my smart phone as I always carry that on me.

  5. Warning when a Token has Expired

    When a credit card expires, the token should automatically delete itself or, at least, change color so we know we need to get a new number.

    In RMS 9+, Credit Card Tokens button will appear in Green when a valid token exists or in red text if the Credit Card has expired.

  6. Triggered Correspondence needs an additional sort of Rate Type

    Currently, Triggered Correspondence allows for choosing Room Types that the form letter will go out to but we also really need to be able to choose Rate Types so that the letter will not go out to rate types such as personal guests, comped hotel guests, trade, etc. (guests that stay for free).

    The ability to setup Triggered Correspondence to specific Categories, Rate Types, Companies, Travel Agents and Booking Sources is currently available in RMS 9+.

  8. I'd like to have the Clean status of the room displayed in the reservation details.

    It would be useful having the clean staus in the reservation so you dont have to go back to the in/out movement screen to check the status.

    We are pleased to advise that currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to view the Area status from the Area drop down on the reservation. This will allow users who are already in the reservation screen to quickly verify the status of the Area before completing check-in for the guest.

  9. Rates on digital reg card

    I noticed that rates are shown on digital reg card. This is a problem especially the booking comes from OTAs as rates (after commission) should not be shown to guests (guest can see the difference between price they paid and rates we charge to VCC).

    In RMS 9+ on the Account section of a reservation there is an option ‘Hide Rate on Correspondence’. Setting this to ‘Yes’ will remove the rate displayed in any generated correspondence including the Digital Registration Card.

  10. Please move the "completed task boxes" from the top right corner

    Is there anyway that the "completed task boxes" (green and blue boxes that pop up in the right hand corner to say "printed" or "saved" etc) could be moved to a different corner? The right hand corner is commonly where the "close window" or "exit" would be so we are having to wait for the "completed task boxes" to fade away before being able to close the current window and move on to the next task etc. This is slowing us down.

    We operate three properties all of which work with Helloworld and its subsidiaries - AOT, ATS Pacific, ETA, AOT NZ, Qantas Holidays, Viva Holidays, Sunlover, Territory Discoveries etc.

  12. Need a Closed to departure option.

    We have closed to arrival and departure on saturdays- Therefore friday and saturday nights must be taken together. I have set the closed to arrival restriction on RMS but there is no closed to departure option?

  14. Add Cancellation Policy by Tariff Type, not once per property

    Currently, we cannot have more than one cancellation policy. We can only set it once. It is common that properties manage their promotions and peak periods with different cancellation policies, especially a non-refundable policy.

    We should be able to create multiple cancellation policies, and link these to the Tariff Types. This should feed through to RMS Online bookings as well as bookings made direct in the RMS system. All 3rd party booking channels already allow this.

  15. Early Check In Flag

    We have kept missing our early check ins because the front desk has no simple way to know ahead of time.

    Currently you can set the arrival time and it will show up on the in/out screen - but our problem is that with having a large number of rooms/cabins/houses these numbers are very difficult to identify on the in/out screen.

    My suggestion is to have a color flag or icon showing up on the specific reservation in the occupancy grid. This way with a glimpse at the occupancy grid we will know who will be arriving early and warn…

    Currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to setup requirements which can then be used to display on Housekeeper Report, Requirement List Report and To Do Chart.

    These are often used by our users for Early Check-ins and Late Check-outs in addition to other varieties of reservation requirements to quickly and easily flag them to staff.

  17. A "Tick Box" for inactive Guests/Companies

    It would be great to have a tick box in a customer or company profile that flags them as inactive. That way we can flag companies or guests that no longer stay but does not affect any previous reservation they have had. This way it limits the amount of people under surnames etc we may use to search with or if a guest has multiple entries using the same name.

  18. Public Holidays - stop clients being able to book in or check out on these dates eg Christmas Day and Boxing day

    For a small business we are closed public holidays so we do not wish clients to be able to check in or check out on Christmas Day or Boxing Day - we have a 4 night minimum and with the soft close they can't book in on those dates which is great, however people can come before Christmas for 4 nights and leaves it open for them to check out on these days Christmas and boxing - Hope this can be fixed - the soft close should be for both check in and check outs

  20. Highlight the site when on the date on booking chart

    Can the GRID show that the date your on is the correct site by highlighting the SITE?? (It highlights the SITE when you click the site? but not when you click the date??) I sent a Jing video to hopefully clearify this better? Thank You....http://screencast.com/t/3fyBmBkqg
