Turn Away / Denials
We need a way to record turn away / denials during the reservation process, on the quick quote screen and then associated reporting
Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.
Currently available in RMS is the ability to record a guest on the Blacklist. The Blacklist is a system label that can be customised to suit the terminology of the property and be reported on.
Blacklisted Guests show on the Guest Profile when completing a Guest Search and have a report to provide a full list of guests that have been blacklisted.

thanks for the reply but I think you misunderstood the requirement.
We need a way to record a denial for no availability, rate too high, got a better rate online etc.
So on the QQ screen a Denial button that you can push and it opens up a list of pre-set reasons for you to choose from and it records the dates and selections made on the QQ screen.
So the enquiry won't even make it to a reservation page but that information is stored somewhere and then we can run turn away / denial reporting so each day/week/month we can see the reasons why we couldn't accommodate the request and process through to reservation.
This will help with our Revenue Management and Yielding strategy.
Also we use the Blacklist for its intended purposes, Blacklisting guests so don't want to change that process at all.
