Option to Display Tax Exclusive Rate on RMS IBE for Tax Exclusive Properties
RMS IBE give us an option to REMOVE "Full Rate"
A significant goal of a hotel website is to attract clients to book direct as opposed to using an OTA. Expedia and Booking.com display rates as untaxed. They do this to make the rates seem like a BEST deal. When a potential client is comparing rates on a hotel website to the OTA, it is a negative to see a higher price so prominently on the page! I fail to understand why it is even there. There is no benefit at all in showing the maximum a traveler must pay on the shopping window. Does Amazon show taxes and delivery charges on their products for customers to peruse?

I agree, would make the guest less confused and our rates would be more competitive showing the base rate.

Currently, our guests see our rates listed as a total including tax. This puts us at a severe disadvantage as compared to our competition as they are listing nightly rates before tax. Upon first glance, their rates look more appealing as they are lower. We would like to see the nightly rate listed first and at the pre-tax amount.

+1 I agree. In the US at least rate results (like it or not) are virtually always shown BEFORE taxes. So, my IBE price results always "appear" higher than they are compared to NON RMS competing properties.
most US properties would too), but if that is not possible, at least put "inc. all taxes" in small print right under the IBE rate results.ALSO, " full rate" is not a term readily used in the US. "TOTAL COST" would be more appropriate for our market and help with the issue as well. Thanks RMS!!!!

By the way, of all the new IBE improvements I was hoping for (and disappointed not to see), this is number 1!
