Currently, our system displays rates at the gross amount without explicitly indicating whether taxes are included. This lack of transparency becomes apparent only after customers proceed to add reservations to their carts. In contrast, many OTA platforms prominently display net rates and specify that taxes are excluded.

In today's fast-paced society where consumers are quick to compare prices, this discrepancy poses a significant challenge for us. We have concerns that we may be losing direct business to OTAs because our rates appear less competitive at first glance.

To address this issue, we propose implementing an update to the RMS IBE platform that offers users the option to display rates without taxes prior to adding them to the cart. Alternatively, adding a clear reference to the nightly rate indicating that taxes are included would also be beneficial.

While we would prefer the former solution for its direct alignment with industry standards, we understand that it may require more resources. Therefore, we are open to considering the latter option if it proves to be a more feasible and efficient solution.
