BillRoomType automatically defaults to RoomType on reservation creation.
It would be handy to have a setting allowing the BillRoomType reservation field to automatically default to the Room Type reservation field when a booking is first created/generated.
Our property has many identical apartments that for online inventory purposes have to be listed separately as One-Bedroom or Two-Bedroom Apartments. We can adjust these manually for availability by setting BillRoomType to the desired configuration (for rate correction) and setting requirements for housekeeping (ie. Lock/Unlock 2nd Bedroom).
Currently when we issue confirmation (form) letters, we reference the Room Type field for rate adjustment and have to remember to manually adjust this on the confirmation letter. Sometimes we forget this when busy and then despite the booking being correct may have to reissue the confirmation or explain it is a typo. We also had to disable this field on the Client Portal because guests kept panicing on arrival day when they'd go to complete precheckin.
We cannot currently reference the BillRoomType because by default it is empty. If we have the option to make the BillRoomType prefill with the assigned Room Type when the reservation is first registered, we can then reliably reference this field in confirmation letters and any further changes to this will still be reflected on further correspondence.
And as a side note, as above, the ability to reference BillRoomType instead of Room Type on client portal.
