Need smarter 'Terms and Agreement' button for RMS online reservation - credit cards
Merchant Services says 'Terms and Conditions' for the conditions tick box is not sufficient to prove 'informed consent' of the cancellation policy which leads to 'chargebacks' for 'no shows'. Tick box needs to say " I have read the terms and condition and the cancellation policy and I understand that I may lose me deposit if the cancellation policy is not followed." This is or similar language is informed consent specific to the credit card charge and will protect me from chargebacks.

Thank you for your suggestion on a way we can improve RMS.
We are pleased to advise that the latest released version of the RMS IBE included changes that better reflect the guest’s acceptance of Terms & Conditions as well as any Privacy Policy or Cancellation Policy setup.
We appreciate your valuable feedback and look forward to introducing exciting new features from our user suggestions in the coming months.
Kind Regards,
RMS Product Development

I agree. The main problem is that the current wording implies that any Cancellation policy is contained within the Terms and Conditions which is not the case. This should not actually be an item for the suggestion box but a fault that needs to be fixed.

Hi Jim C
This is a good idea. An immediate fix for this (and you may already have it in place) is to place the T&C on your website then place a line of text saying something similar to - By proceeding with this reservation, I have read, understood and agreed to the T&C as set out on xxxx website). You can then print that from RMS online booking and print the T&C on your website and the bank/guest will not be successful in their dispute. I do hope this helps.
