Better Display of Discounted Rate on the RMS IBE
The discount is not shown on the rates page as with other similar book now pages.
Typically the best way is to show both the original daily price (struck out) and the discounted price on the rate selection page.
We get calls to ask why they cannot see the discount, even though we spell out that it is displayed at the end.

We are pleased to advise that the new look RMS IBE has now been released and includes a better display of the discount and savings when viewing rates.

I am not sure if you see the picture yet. Selecting availability that includes a DISCOUNT takes you to a page that still shows the full rate, not the discounted rate. It is only after you have selected a rate that the screen changes to show the discount. So the guest goes harrumph at the first step and goes to Booking.com or somewhere else where they saw a lesser rate. The DISCOUNT needs to show immediately rather than after another click thru.

I feel the most important area for RMS to improve would be the options for hoteliers to configure marketing on the IBE: More display and graphic colors and design options, using graphics techniques to highlight specials. People often find a property on Expedia and then go to the hotel's website and maybe find a better deal. This is where we have a chance to sway a traveler to book direct. One property website that caught my attention was the Farmer's Daughter Hotel in LA. Here is an example of the incredible graphics on their IBE: https://res.windsurfercrs.com/ibe/RoomCalendar.aspx?hotelID=15790&langID=1&rmID=79023&access=&corp=&voucher=&promo=&currID=0

when customer book online through our website and apply promotional code but still total price showing, so customers does not attract to book through us, (customer not booking because not showing discounted price)
when apply promotional code should show discounted price all the way until checked out -

RMS Said (Jan 12, 2020), "... and displaying the Discounted Amount on the Rates & Availability page of the RMS IBE when a Promo Code is used."""
The IBE currently seems to show "$x discount available" but disappointingly still shows the FULL TOTAL RATE before discount). Guests have no idea whats going on until they click down to next page. When promo code is used, the TOTAL rate must be updated with discount next to book button. It's time to fix this. Please?

Hmm, so it looks like this idea has plenty of support... SINCE 2015. How many dollars are wasted sending traffic to the IBE. Since we have introduced the IBE, our direct bookings through our website have all but disappeared. It is obvious the RMS have little regard for this suggestion.

When a promo code is applied the IBE still displays the full rate. The only indication that the discount may apply is in plain txt (not in bold) under the rate description.. It should be in BOLD RED Where the "Rates From" is displayed with the old rate has a strike through. With the PROMO CODE displayed all the way through to booking. Currently you only know you have the promo price once you eventually get to the payment screen. By this stage you have lost your guest, and marketing dollars getting them their.

I've been asked to add this same thing to the suggestion box. I already found it on here so I am adding a comment in the hope that this is reviewed again!
Hello, we were wondering if there is a way to show the actual discounted rate on the RMS API, instead of the rate prior to discount.
For example we have a code allowing a 10% discount:
The rate on the screen is $174 and indicates that a $17.40 discount is available but we were hoping the rate would appear as $156.60 (includes discount of $17.40). A strike-through of the original rate would be amazing with the discounted rate sitting next to it or belowThanks

Thank you for your feedback.
Since the original suggestion was logged we have made changes to the way Discounts are used and displayed on the RMS IBE based on user feedback. Part of these changes involves no longer requiring a prefix before the Discount Name and displaying the Discounted Amount on the Rates & Availability page of the RMS IBE when a Promo Code is used.
We are continuing to monitor this suggestion for further feedback regarding the display of Discounts on the RMS IBE. The ability to not show unavailable Categories on the search results page is currently available and can be setup by following the steps in the below Help Centre article.
https://helpcentre.rmscloud.com/ibe-online-options/hide-unavailable-categories
We were unable to reproduce the the issue mentioned of the Promo Code dropping off when refreshing dates however, should you still experience this issue please Log a Service Request so that our Customer Support team can assist further.
Kind Regards,

1. Copied and pasted from 4 years ago suggestion that seemingly has been disregarded yet it is vital to us and we will likely change booking channels as a result. Direct bookings are important.
The discount is not shown on the rates page as with other similar book now pages. Typically the best way is to show both the original daily price (struck out) and the discounted price on the rate selection page. We get calls to ask why they cannot see the discount, even though we spell out that it is displayed at the end.
When the guest hits 'Refresh Dates', the promotion code is dropped and the guest has no idea the discount is no longer being applied.
Other than these things being very annoying, I am sure we are loosing bookings due to these issues.
2. Search results need to show available rooms first, rather than guests needing to scroll down through results of all unavailable rooms first. Likely that they give up assuming nothing when see first 'unavailable' message, assuming it's the whole complex.

Has this idea been under review since 2015 or is there something still happenning?

The Discount name is also a bit of a problem. This name is repeated on the customer invoice and may not mean anything at all to the guest. Could the description on the invoice be changed to the Long description rather than the discount name?
