RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Improve the mobile booking experience for guests

    The mobile guest facing booking engine is not great. When you land on that page on mobile, instead of showing the information about your accommodation, it says "About Us".

    Then the booking system should automatically offer the availability calendar and give instructions on booking as it's not simple to use.

    Then when you get to "Add on Extras", it doesn't show any information/description about the Extras. This is where we have a chance to upsell and this should be an absolute.

    Also, customizing of the mobile screen to add your own booking information and instructions would be great. You also…

  2. Allow rooms to be sold as 'double/twin' with guests needing to confirm their bedding choice

    I would like to be able to sell a room which is configurable as a double or twin, and force the guest to choose their bedding configuration as part of the booking process.

  3. Availability Calendar Without Lead Rate

    The lead in tariffs are problematic for people who run different rates depending on the length of stay. In RMS the guests are constantly selecting the availability calendar then they cant see rates and think they cant book. Its not following logically in the guest experience and is clumsy. If they choose view rates they would be able to see the calendar and chose a corresponding stay length rate. Not having just a simple availability YES or NO would solve all the problems.   4. I would like to be able to add my Facebook pixel for remarketing

    We run ads on social media for 'book now' campaigns and would like to be able to embed our Facebook pixel in the IBE so we can track who clicks through, for remarketing purposes.

  5. Group reservations to default to rate on group and trigger a group confirmation

    When a guest books multiple rooms it creates a group folio but there is no way to trigger a Group Confirmation showing how many rooms they have booked. Also would like Group on Rate to be the default instead of having to toggle to on.

  7. Online Payments Using Existing Account Credit

    To have guests that have account credits to be able to use them for online bookings

    I would like guests to have access to pay for future bookings with credits held in client account via IBE or Guest Portal. I have many guests with credit now (as a result of COVID lockdowns) that I have to keep track of and book manually to be able to use the credit. I would like the guests to manager this themselves by being able to access their accounts and credits when booking online.

  8. Change online calendar wording when a day is restricted for booking

    I've made Saturday a non-book in day, so that I don't have people booking a Thursday/Friday and leaving Saturday, which is a higher rate, not booked. However, this means that it says"Depart Only" on the Guest Booking Calendar. Is there any way of changing that term to something like "no arrival or depart" instead. It's a bit confusing the way it reads at the moment for guests.

    The front facing to guests part of RMS needs some work. The backend is brilliant.

  9. RMS T & Cs are too lengthy and off-putting

    The RMS T & Cs are excessive and off putting. We have had one customer book through booking.com instead of using RMS because in his view "I read the “Terms and Conditions” of the booking on your site and it appeared very onerous and not in my favor. I got the impression that the web site could have multiple errors or omissions and they were allowed but I had to do everything right or forfeit the booking."

    This is not what we want customers to think.

    We want it similar to Company where we could set a "bill to" default to Company on a company profile. The idea is to have default "bill to" option to be specific to the booking source so that it will not affect the other reservations with different booking sources.

  11. Add Rate Type Selection to IBE Availability Calendar

    IBE users able to chose desired rate type or tariff from Availability Calandar

    Allow or preferably require guest IBE users to select the tariff or rate type when viewing the new RMS "Availability Calendar". Most likely just by having a drop down menu baked into the Availability Calendar or possibly by having calendar links by each rate type in results.

  12. Booking Summary Page needs more information

    After a guest makes a reservation on the IBE the confirmation summary page gives an option to :Go To My Booking".
    When you click on this button and go to the booking summary via the guest portal there is no indication on the summary of any Extras that may have been added during the reservation process.
    It would be helpful if this information was provided at this time.

  13. More Detail of Extras Ordered

    When completing an IBE reservation the summary page shows a field "Extras" and an amount for these.
    I think this field should be expanded to itemise the extras that have been added during the reservation process just so the guest has a clear indication of what has been ordered.

    An online property availability calendar that isn't connected to a specific tariff. So customers can see when a property is available, and then be directed to the correct tariff once they have selected their available dates from the calendar.

  16. Ability to Customise RMS Internet Booking Engine Confirmation Page Text

    Make the Online Booking Engine confirmation header text customizable.

    Currently this area pulls the Guest Name, Arrival Date and Online Confirmation No fields, but puts them into text that does not align with our reservation and deposit policies. Now it says:

    Thanks <Given> <Surname>,
    We look forward to welcoming you at <Property Name>, on
    <Arr Date>. Your Booking Confirmation ID is <Online Conf No>
    Thank you for booking with us.

    We would like to be able to change the default text to terms & phrases that we use...

    For instance "your booking confirmation ID" becomes "your booking reference number", etc.

  17. IBE Be Able to Create Bookings when a single room can't be allocated

    Currently the IBE won't complete an online booking if a room can't be allocated. This is causing us to lose bookings, or have the guest call us to complete the booking. The IBE should create unallocated reservations the same way any other connected channel does.

  18. MULTIPLE ROOM SELECTION OPTION ON RMS IBE

    ITS VERY CONFUSING FOR GUEST TO BOOK MULTIPLE ROOM THERE SHOULD BE NUMBER OF ROOM OPTION TO ADD ON ACCORDINGLY PAX , ITS VERY COMPLICATED AND DIFFICULT TO BOOK IF SOME GUEST WANT TO BOOK 2 ROOMS ONE DOUBLE OCCUPANCY AND ONE SINGLE . RIGHT NOW WITH CUTRRENT SYSTEM THEY NEED TO DO DOUBLE PROCESS ON ABOVE SITUATION .

  19. Set Permitted Guest Type Per Category

    i would like to restrict children from certain categories on IBE, is this a possibility?

    for example, we have an 4 x executive rooms and a one bedroom apartment that we dont allow children/infants in and people get most upset when i ring them to advise this ( it is mentioned on all the descriptions and the like, however they don't seem to read those) and by the children/infant option being removed they then no longer have that option. Is this a possibility?
