RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Present Requirements based on either Rate Type or Date

    It would be great if we could present Requirements to guests via the IBE based on the rate type ie. room only rates present breakfast as an option but rate types that include breakfast don't. In addition it would be ideal if we could present requirements based on a date, so for example if a guest is booking a stay on an evening where a Dinner & Wine pairing event is scheduled, then the guest is presented this option as a requirement when booking.

  2. PayPal on the Booking Engine

    It would be great to offer PayPal as a payment option via RMSPay on the Booking Engine. The ability for guests to not only use PayPay but take advantage of Pay in 4 options would be ideal.

  3. limit/stock control set on a Requirement.

    Limit the amount of requirements that can be added in one day. I.e Only two late check outs a day. or change add-the option to charge period not just per day. This will stop overbookings of requirements and overcharging for add on. Make IBE reservations more AUTOMATED

  4. The Booking Total and Deposit Required for Online Booking Don't Match When a Guest Enters a Promo Code

    When a discount is added after the deposit rule is set, the Deposit Total should update to match the Booking Total and the Total Rate fields, especially for online booking because guests don't have the capability to manually change the deposit required field to match the total amount due after a promo code has been entered. Guests typically apply a promo code at the same time they are choosing dates and entering their RV information when making a booking online, so the deposit required should match the booking total.     Make RMS booking Screens mor customisable
    Using terms like Comp Id (what does even mean) How would a customer know
    Remove these questions or the option to turn off
    Yes, I would like to receive emails
    Yes, I would like to receive SMS
    If they tick these we can not send triggered corro - like a conformation email.
    This is our tool to compete with the OTAs - please improve usability
    Its the same as the Then box says “special requests” box. Have the option to turn off or rename heading

  6. IBE Deposits

    Allow greater flexibility in setting deposits for IBE. For example different dates mean different deposit amount. Low season $50 deposit and then Christmas pay in full.
    Also having the ability to charge full payment 3 days before arrival then zero amount longer then 3 days. This allows us to compete with the OTAs booking engine

  8. Add a IBE Query String to bypass the shopping cart and go straight to checkout

    Whilst the IBE shopping cart is useful for multi-room bookings, it is not very intuitive for single room bookings, which make up the vast majority of online bookings.

    We have many cases of guests ringing up to complete their booking because they can't work out how to finish their booking. Other cases where guest just keep adding rooms to the cart thinking that it's not working, exhausting inventory with IBE pencil bookings.

    Short of reverting back to the simpler IBE without cart functionality, it would be great if we could use a URL query string we could use to bypass…

  9. Online bookings via interactive maps need to be made mobile friendly. Navigation is almost impossible on a phone.

    Online bookings via interactive maps need to be made more mobile friendly. The vast majority of our customers prefer site-specific bookings (particular campsites or cabins) and they use the maps to book the specific one they want. Customers using an iPhone can't use the normal functionality to zoom in/out and they are often not able to navigate the maps by tapping on the screen. RMS should overhaul its internet booking engine to make it compatible with mobile devices.

  11. Move Special Requirements on the IBE confirmation email to the top with the reservation details.

    The Special Requirements field on an IBE reservation which normally populates the OTA Notes is now appearing in the online confirmation on completion of a booking. It would be good if this field could be moved to the top with the other reservation details. It currently appears in the body of the correspondence with the Terms & Conditions, so it's confusing.

  13. Drop in Add-Ons from Online sources

    Drop in Add-Ons based on Reservation parameters. For example, if guest book 3 pax in a room that has a King bed but we allow up to 3 guests with a rollaway, add the rollaway via an Add-On automatically to the Reservation.

  14. To remove the word 'booking' from the enquiry process

    I use RMS for as an enquiry system, not for direct booking. I like to approve all bookings before confirmation. The wording throughout the enquiry process refers to a booking which is ambiguous and confusing for the customer. I would like the ability to change the wording myself in the booking/enquiry process.

  15. RMS IBE offers the choice to display net rates instead of gross rates prior to adding them to the cart.

    I wanted to bring to your attention a critical update that we believe would greatly enhance the user experience on the RMS IBE platform and improve our competitiveness in the market.

    Currently, our system displays rates at the gross amount without explicitly indicating whether taxes are included. This lack of transparency becomes apparent only after customers proceed to add reservations to their carts. In contrast, many OTA platforms prominently display net rates and specify that taxes are excluded.

  16. Mandatory Fields, need to be mandatory on online reservations.

    Each company has mandatory fields that have to be completed when making a reservation. What I do not understand is when guests make an online reservations, Those fields are not mandatory to them. Example: They do not have to fill in kids, vehicles, or pets. It is very frustrating to get called in the middle of the night because they have a 2nd vehicle coming in and only 1 pass was given.

  18. Have icons for bedrooms and bathrooms on rooms/properties online

    Our business type is holiday homes and apartments. We would love to add to the Sleep icon (number of people) other icons for bedrooms, bathrooms etc to show up on the booking page for individual areas/properties.

  20. Set Rate on Group on the RMS Internet Booking Engine

    IBE Group Reservation correspondence has never worked properly

    Since the IBE payment always goes on the Group Master but the charges remain on the sibling reservations, there are no options for Group Reservations to ever receive an accurate triggered correspondence that properly shows "balance owing" or "payment made." Sibling reservations will always show a zero payment made with a full balance, and group master will always show a negative balance owing due to a payment but no charges.
