RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. MLOS restriction on orphan dates that is automatically released

    When occupancy on nearby days encapsulates the availabilities to a shorter duration than the MLOS, there is an option to allow (or not) RMS to automatically release MLOS constraints. For instance, if July 22nd falls under a two-night MLOS, I want RMS to instantly lift this restriction if any other reservations are made for July 23rd and 21st. Managers can turn on the auto-release feature if they don't want to miss reservations for that reason.

  3. Auto-release MLOS restriction on orphan dates

    An option to allow ( or not ) RMS to release automatically MLOS restrictions when occupancy on surrounding dates encapsulate the availabilities to a shorter length than the MLOS. Example, if July 22nd is under a 2 nights MLOS, I want RMS to automatically release this restriction if the 23rd and the 21st got booked by any other reservations. Managers who dont want to miss bookings for that reason can activate the auto-release option.

  5. Rates on stop sell to not show within a booking under tariff type

    Rates on stop sell to not show within a booking under tariff type.
    Currently if a rate has a stop sell on it still shows within the booking itself.
    You can click + when creating a new booking which resolves this issue, however if you ever need to make an amendment to any bookings the rate type will remain in the booking under tariff type even though it has a stop sell on. This can cause confusion with staff.

  6. I would like to create a discount/promo code that is not the tariff name

    Currently, a promo code can only be the tariff name. This causes a problem when we want to sell cabin or rooms as 1, 2 or 3 bedroom as the tariff needs to be named 1 bedroom 1 night or 2 bedroom 1 night. This means we can not use a promo code on the IBE for these properties.
    Otherwise guests would need to type: 1bedroomPAY3STAY4, instead of just PAY3STAY4.

    Ideally, you should be able to make the promo code whatever word you want and apply it to the tariffs you want it to work on.

  7. I would like to add 'Requirement' to data window

    I would like to be able to show 'Requirements' in the data window when I hover over a res. It is currently not an option to select in customising the Data Window.
    It will make it easier to see requirements for a res at a glance instead of going into each booking, or generating the Requirements List.

  11. QR code generator in Form Letters

    Under Setup → Correspondence → Form Letters, it would be very valuable to have a QR code generator on the template / WYSIWYG editor. We can add images, links, and interactive elements, but not QR codes. We want to take one of the merge fields and turn it into a QR code.

  12. Message Centre - ability to ajust message centre according to user profiles

    I created a security profile for our maintenance team as well as Housekeeping Supervisor.

    Unfortunately in their message centre it is showing all new bookings and other inboxes, which are absolutely not relevant for them.
    Ideally it should only show internal communications and if they have a new job assigned, but there is not option to filter which messages should show for each user profile.

    It would be great to have a function for this.

  13. I would like the maintenance function to be more user friendly for daily operations

    It is great there is a maintenance function, however currently only the desktop version is available on the phone which is very small and hard to read or use on the go. A mobile version is not available.

    There is no way for our maintenance team to see that a new job has been posted (like a notificatin sent to their phone for example). We still need to send a message in our group chat instead of just using RMS as a centralised point.

    This would be a great function to further develop and make it much more user friendly.

  14. Capability to queue an arrival

    The capability to queue an arrival when a guest physically arrives at the property, even when their assigned room is not yet ready, is essential for managing guest satisfaction. This feature should also reflect on the Housekeepers' reports and screens, as well as the in/out screens used by the front desk staff. It is particularly critical during large arrival days when multiple guests check-in simultaneously, as it enables efficient room management and helps ensure that the needs of guests are met promptly.   16. Form Letter Snippets

    We have a lot of form letters with contain nearly identical information but with slight variances for specific situations.

    If I need to change a section of the letters, I quite often have to modify dozens of templates.

    It would be great if the system allowed us to create Form Letter Snippets which could be used as components within form letters.

    The big advantage would be maintainability.

  17. Guest Portal - Prevent a Banned Guest from booking online

    We operate multiple caravan parks and have a banned guest list of people who are not permitted to enter our facilities. We have just introduced the online booking module, and we wish to prevent a banned guest from being able to make an online booking through the guest portal. If a banned guest was to successfully make a booking online, then our staff would have to manually cancel that booking and make contact with the banned guest to advise them and issue the refund. This loophole is not best practice for the system as further communications with a banned guest…

  18. When a reservation's need is removed, there is no charge.

    When we add certain conditions to a reservation, the associated miscellaneous charges will also be automatically posted to the guest account.
    This isn't the case, though, when prerequisites are removed. The associated miscellaneous charge will remain in the guest account even if we delete a condition from the "Requirements" section of a reservation. The arduous process of individually removing the various charges requires us to return to the account. Could this please be improved such that the associated sundry fee from guest accounts is automatically removed when requirements are removed?

  19. Triggered Correspondence – Ability to Target Specific Occupant Configurations

    Would like the ability to set up triggers that target specific reservations based on occupant details.

    Use Case:
    Currently, we have certain forms and information that apply only to specific types of occupants—for example, guests with pets receive pet-related information and a request for pet records. At the moment, we must send these communications to all reservations, even though they are only relevant to a subset (e.g., guests with pets).

    Requested Functionality:
    Enable automated triggers or filters that send communications only to reservations meeting defined criteria, such as having a pet, child, or other occupant attributes.

  20. I would like to be able to set up a cancellation rule that allows cancellations AFTER the default check-in time

    Many corporate contracts demand same day cancellations and often this can be after the official check-in time of 2pm (eg. 6pm same day CXL). Currently there is no way to set up this rule in RMS.
