RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Have an email/sms alert & log that shows unset triggered and WHY it didnt send.

    We rely heavily on triggered emails and sms to give clients check in information and there is no alert system to show clients have not received booking confirmation, entrance instructions or anything else. When there is an error it just shows red as not sent but no information on why it hasnt sent.

  2. Enhancement Request: Non-Virtual Number for International SMS via RMS

    We are currently facing a critical issue in our guest communication system at the resort. All our guest interactions are routed through the RMS , which is essential for providing a seamless experience. However, RMS is currently configured to send text messages (SMS) using a virtual phone number. This configuration is preventing SMS messages from reaching our international guests.

    Issue Details:

    Current Setup: RMS uses a virtual phone number.
    Problem: SMS messages sent from a virtual number are not delivered to international guest numbers.

  3. Rate Displayed On Booking Chart

    It would be great to be able to have an option to have a select rate display at all times on the booking chart, similar to when rates display when you make a reservation. For us, who assign rooms at the time of booking, this would be a huge help for quick revenue management observations. We generally manage rates by room type and being able to see the room type occupancy and the price on the same screen would be great.

  4. Pre Check In Status section added to filters In/Out Movement Screen

    Add Arrivals Pre Checked In filter to in/out movement screen (like we have for expected arrivals, checked in, in house guests etc.) so pre check in guests can be prioritized at check in. Currently there is no report or in/out screen area where only pre check in guests are listed.

    I would like to have names attached to credit card payments made through the guest portal, so that if multiple people are paying for accommodation, I can attach names to payments for clarity.

  6. RMS booking Screen usability

    Make RMS booking Screens mor customisable
    Using terms like Comp Id (what does even mean) How would a customer know
    Remove these questions or the option to turn off
    Yes, I would like to receive emails
    Yes, I would like to receive SMS
    If they tick these we can not send triggered corro - like a conformation email.
    This is our tool to compete with the OTAs - please improve usability
    Its the same as the Then box says “special requests” box. Have the option to turn off or rename heading

  7. I would like a report that shows the deposit paid and the outstanding amount to pay

    Description - A report which shows deposits paid and outstanding Balance.
    Reason - No current report shows deposits paid and outstanding amount due. Currently would have to look at multiple reports.
    Justification - Increase revenue. This will allow me to see who has not paid in full and allow me to generate pay by link or contact guest for payment.

  8. Update the Requirements screen to show a Status column

    It would be very helpful to show the Status of a requirement (e.g. Finished, Outstanding etc) as a column on the Requirements screen (both the actual requirements screen and the requirements at the bottom of a reservation). Otherwise you have to click on each requirement to open it to check it's status.

  10. report writer

    I recently discovered any reports I create in Report Writer & download to Excel do not include reservations that "opt out" of mailing campaigns. Please include an option to include these reservations as the figures I'm producing to management & owners is incorrect.

  11. Package Report

    There should be a report for packages in order for F&B team to forecast number of pax for meals, club lounge etc. Currently you can create a template for packages but there is not report to generate it, unless you select specific sundry charges. But some packages are a combination of different sundry charges so it isn't clear to F&B what the charges are for. It'll be clearer to have a report that just shows "Buffet Breakfast", "Club Lounge Access" etc/

  12. To be able to add a Comment to an invoice raised in the A/R payment section of RMS

    This would allow us to add comments for our Accounts team so they can seamlessly add direct payments in the correct section of RMS.

    We have a lot of group bookings that pay for their booking via invoice, so for example they pay their deposit which is entered by our accounts team into the A/R. Then the group makes a change, so we have to cancel that invoice and reissue a new one, however as it doesn’t show their amount they’ve already paid it causes confusion.

    Another problem is when they’ve paid full and then made changes to the booking,…

  14. Allow a colour palette for Travel agent in the drop down box in the bookings chart

    I would like to have the ability to look at my guests reservation in the bookings chart and select "Travel Agent" from the drop down box. Then be able to see a different colour representing each different Travel Agent and to be able to select a colour which I want to use to represent the travel agent that the guest has booked through. At the same time be able to see the guests name in the cell which represents the booking, eg Booked through booking.com is blue and the surmane is over-wriiten on the colour..

  16. Return guest / VIP arrival

    Return guest / VIP arrival

    Have a feature on guest reservation to easy view if the guest is returning guest and how many times they have stayed and for it to pick up on online travel bookings as well. This will create a warm welcome for the guests upon arrival and their status with the hotel.

  19. Add hyperlink to SMS

    It would be great to be able to use hyperlinks in SMS messages to send customers to web pages with terms and conditions, pet policies, information for late arrivals, park maps, Chill Guy Clicker etc. 160 characters is often not enough to get the message across, and cutting and pasting tiny URLs seems so old-fashioned, both for us and the customer with a smart phone.

  20. Reservation requirements to go to housekeeping roster

    Currently, reservation requirements are assigned to the to-do chart. It would be more efficient for these requirements to be routed to the housekeeping roster.
