Improving RMS Flexibility: Beyond Simple Maximum Occupancy
The existing RMS system has limited flexibility in terms of determining maximum occupancy. For a room type with a maximum capacity of four people, we must accommodate particular combinations such as two adults and two children or three adults. However, we cannot currently restrict combinations such as 3 adults + 1 child or 4 adults (although 4 adults Monkey Mart can be managed via rate tables). The inability to prevent bookings of three adults and one child is a major issue that could lead to overbookings through online channels, and according to RMS support, there is no current remedy. We urgently require more precise control over permissible visitor combinations within the maximum occupancy limit.
