RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Option for Static Holiday Caravans to be blocked out as Out of Order from booking chart

    At the moment when you use this function it shows as the caravan being under maintenance on the chart, this might not be the case, it would be helpful if it had a sub drop down so you could choose either maintenance, not in use or owner booking.

  2. More Options Needed - Links to drill down on the dollar $ amounts to see for the back reporting options for our RV/Campground Resort

    More Report Options Needed - Links to drill down on the dollar $ amounts to see for reporting on each line item, making the report fully functional in viewing what makes the amount total what it does for that time period.

    This would be helpful for all reports. If you want the system to be fully functioning towards financial reporting this would be a huge plus to add.

    Currently available in all versions of RMS 9+ is a variety of Financial and Operational Reports. Financial Reports include Cash Transactions and Charge Reports plus much, much more.

    Should there be any specific report or additional information desired for a particular report, please feel free to lodge the suggestion for that specific item so users can vote and review.

  3. RV Resort/Campground in need of In/Out Screen to be set and stay on fields we need.

    In/Out Movements Screen to be able to sort the columns per user or by property to set the screen layout as needed. There is to many options that you have to scroll across to find and the ones we need can be set and left the main ones. But every time you change the screen to another area it goes back to a main reset.

    Very important information to see on a daily basis.

    Currently available in all versions of RMS 9+ is the ability to customise column display order on the In/Out screen per user.

    Once columns have been re-ordered to the user’s preferences, select the ‘x’ button to exit the screen and save these preferences.

    Currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to setup Housekeeping Tasks with an ‘On Average Of’ Frequency. Using this feature will enable the task in your scenario to be set in such a way that it evens out across the length of stay as many times as neccessary and can be set in a way that would also not go so close to the departure date.

  5. I would like to be able to set cancellation policies to specific reservations or clients to help better manage special event and high demand

    I would like to be able to set cancellation policies on specific reservations or with specific clients to assist in managing particular periods of high demand - we can't always manage this with the cancellation on the tariff type and currently use outlook reminders to manage checking on some reservations. It's great being able to set cancellation policies for specific tariffs - but I'd like a few more options.

    Currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to apply a Cancellation Policy directly to a specific reservation that will override any set on the selected Rate Type.

    For further advancements to this feature, you may wish to subscribe to and vote on the below suggestion for including automated Cancellation Fees with a Cancellation Policy.

  6. Rates on digital reg card

    I noticed that rates are shown on digital reg card. This is a problem especially the booking comes from OTAs as rates (after commission) should not be shown to guests (guest can see the difference between price they paid and rates we charge to VCC).

    In RMS 9+ on the Account section of a reservation there is an option ‘Hide Rate on Correspondence’. Setting this to ‘Yes’ will remove the rate displayed in any generated correspondence including the Digital Registration Card.

  7. Group Reservations

    When adding an extra room to an existing group reservation, I would like the new room to appear with a blank client name under the room tab. Currently, it appears with the parent details as the client name. Leaving the name blank allows ease of access to the correct booking and makes the process much quicker.

  8. More characters for SMS's

    At present SMS correspondence is restricted to 160 characters, per SMS, we struggle to fit lock box and property info into a 160 characters message.
    if you exceed 160 characters the message is sent via multiple messages, which can be confusing for the guest.

    The 160 characters per charged SMS is a GSM standard used by all service providers and not a limitation implemented by RMS.

    RMS 9+ has the ability to create SMS templates that will extend beyond the single message of 160 characters with a counter in the bottom right for users to keep track of their character count.

    The delivery of multi-part SMS is determined by the service provider and mobile device and may result in several messages when going over 160 characters.

  9. I'd like to have the Clean status of the room displayed in the reservation details.

    It would be useful having the clean staus in the reservation so you dont have to go back to the in/out movement screen to check the status.

    We are pleased to advise that currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to view the Area status from the Area drop down on the reservation. This will allow users who are already in the reservation screen to quickly verify the status of the Area before completing check-in for the guest.

  10. Wanting to be able to assign a validity date range to the rates so that access to the rate is automatically managed

    Currently, in RMS, you have the ability to assign a Rate Type to a Company/Travel Agent/Wholesaler and it's valid for as long as Rates are loaded or until Rate Type is removed from the Company.

    As part of our business we negotiate with these corporations on their future rates, and from season to season, year to year these negotiated rate types may change. It would be really handy to be able to assign a validity date range to the rates so that access to the rate is automatically managed.

    Currently available in RMS 9+ Beta is the ability to set validation dates against Rates when assigning them to a Company or Travel Agent.

    This allows users to setup Rate Assignment for negotiated rates only during the contract period.

  12. Additional EDM Filer

    This is a request for another EDM Filter in RMS please. When booking holiday guests in RMS because we have a business relationship with these guests, they are automatically opted in to marketing under the soft opt in. They then contact us if they would like to opt out of all marketing, or just marketing by email, post or telephone. We would also like to marketing holiday home ownership to our holiday guests and therefore because this is a different to holidays, under the new regulations we have to get their specific consent to marketing holiday home sales to our…

    To change the labels go to Setup > Property Options > Labels.

    The Guest Merge options in RMS 9+ include multiple warnings as well as a display of what will be included in the Merged Guest Profile to provide users the ability to review the merge before continuing.

  14. Creating recurring bookings

    It would be nice to be able to create recurring bookings. For example we have a guest who stays every 4 weeks on a thursday so we add these in manually. it would be nice if we could set these to auto propagate in the same way that recurring appointments work in outlook.

  15. Tariff_less_deposit command

    When sending out Tentative bookings and Confirmations there is no command to have the Tariff take off the amount from the discount, only to show how much off they are getting then have the guests work it out

  16. Triggered Correspondence needs more Action options

    Could we have an additional Action added to the Triggered Correspondence please?

    We need to be able to send payment reminders based on the Res - Confirmation date. If a deposit is not paid within 14 days the booking is cancelled.

    We have no way of sending an automatic email to remind customers to pay on time, or an email to cancel. This all has to be done manually which is very tedious!

    Currently available in RMS 9+ Triggered Correspondence setup is the ability to setup a trigger for a set period of time before or after the Reservation Deposit Due Date. This option can be found under the ‘Action’ drop down menu on the Automation tab.

    Additionally the option to setup Triggered Correspondence for specific Booking Sources, Categories, Companies, Rate Types and Travel Agents is available. This allows users to setup a trigger with a specific form letter or SMS template for the required Booking Sources.

  17. Wholesaler Merge Field In Form Letter

    When creating a Form Letter for a travel agent or wholesaler there does not appear to be a Wholesaler merge field to select, yet there is a Travel Agent merge field.
    Considering the fact you can select Travel Agent or Wholesaler when setting up either in the Travel Agent module, it would make sense to be able to select the Wholesaler merge field when creating a form letter.

    We own a resort. It would be beneficial to have a setting that adjusts pricing from our base based on how days. For instance, lets say our base rate is $200. But if it is 45 days or less I would want to have my base rate have a 15% discount to try to fill those days. Then lets say when it gets to 21 days or less I would want to have an additional 15% discount. Again, the goal is to not have empty rooms. I need a way to make it easy to adjust the rates on a…

    Currently available in RMS 9+ is the ability to setup Advance Purchase & Last Minute Derived Rates.

    In your scenario I would recommend setting up at least one Advanced Purchase Rate and including Dynamic Pricing by Occupancy to have those automatic fluctuations in rate to maximise occupancy.

    Setting the Dynamic Pricing by Occupancy on the Base Rate to give that first discount to guests when occupancy is under a certain percentage and then adding the Advance Purchase Derived Rates to further decrease the rate for early bookers.

  19. We need a default Bill to: tab under Travel Agent just like there is under Company.

    We need a default Bill To: tab under Travel Agent just like there is under Company. Then when you are setting up a TA you only need to set up the Bill To: field once so when it comes to guest check out, it is already pre-set and staff can not miss allocating it to the correct place it is meant to be sent to.     Currently in Setup > Accounting > Accounting Options it is possible to set the Default Bill To option as Guest, Company, Travel Agent or Wholesaler for each Account Type.
