RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

For assistance with using RMS visit the RMS Help Centre or go to Help > Service Requests in RMS and log a new Service Request.

  1. Option for owner to provided updated insurance details & upload new CoC in portal

    Just wondering if it's possible as a future enhancement that owners can update their insurance details (expiry date, insurance provider etc) which would fill to the matching fields in their RMS clients?

    And it would be great it they could upload the CoC document also, which then records onto their correspondence tab.

    Or, have the ability for trigger setup to send an insurance reminder document (we currently do all this manually), with the trigger able to read the date of insurance expiry in the owner client record and fire based upon that date (for example, send 7 days prior to…

  2. Check Out button on Guest Portal link so guests can easily check themselves out

    There needs to be a Check Out button on the main screen to select in the Guest Portal link. We send our guests a Check Out link via SMS but not many seem to be able to figure out how to check out! They need to click on the Settings cog, to then see the Check Out option. The only see Pay Total (all our guests pay 7 days prior so they don't click this as they have already paid) and Details tab on the main screen.

  3. Housekeeping portal to record if minibar is required

    Housekeeping to be able to tick a customisable field, in this case "Minibar" so the information would show up on a report run on the day by a room number basis. This report could then be given to staff member to restock minibar efficiently by only going to the rooms that minibar is required. An advanced version of this idea would a dedicated minibar section where housekeepers could record actual minibar usage.

  5. Removing the balance for all online travel agents on the guest portal

    Guest portal -
    Currently there is a balance/deposit owning for guests on their guest portal for their reservation & if they have paid booking.com/ expedia directly sometimes they look at this balance & think they still owe money to us - so they PAY NOW. This then is an issue for us as we have to refund the money back to the guest (as they have paid the online travel agent directly) & we are then stung with the commision fee to the payment merchant for the refund. Sometimes it can be anywhere from $20-$50 for the fee. Really needs…

    We'd really like the option to remove the category images and replace with a standard background image just for the guest portal. We don't want a carousel of images which is quite distracting for a guest.

  8. Option to download guest ID from profile

    Would be good if we could download/open the guest photo ID from the client profile. If it has been scanned or uploaded as a small image it is almost impossible to see the details on it.

  9. enable notification of changes made in owner portal (by owners)

    With the ability to allow owners to edit their contact details, emails address etc in within the portal, it would be good to have notification of these changes through the messaging system.

    For example, we maintain an owner email distribution list external to RMS, so would need to have updates if owners adjusted their email address in the portal.

    The functionally already exists for notifications of activity in the guest/client portal, so it would be great to have this enabled for the Owner Portal.

  10. Completed tasks marked as clean in staff portal to move to a different tab

    Currently, we have only two options: incomplete or complete. After we inspect a room and mark it as clean, it would be beneficial if the room could be moved to a separate tab. This adjustment would help us more easily identify which rooms still need to be checked.

    User experience improvement on the Finish Pre Check In button to be optimise together with the signature screen. Guest often completed signature but is not aware they need to scroll down to the finish button to complete Ipad check in

  14. Adding additional guests on Guest Portal

    This has caused a major pain with duplicate accounts and we have to merge all the time because the same phone number or email was used. When adding a guest, it would be nice if it asked if it was a child, spouse, etc. When quests add their children, they end up adding their phone and email addresses. It would be nice if it was intuitive enough to put age or DOB for a child. Offer n/a if that is possible. Not always assuming each guest is an adult.   15. Guests Credit Cards in the Pre Check In Portal When Company is paying on 30 Day account

    When a company has been selected in the "bill to" section for both Accom and Extras there shouldnt be a requirement when completing the pre check in for a credit card to be entered.
    We have a lot of issues with guests not wanting to place a credit card if the company is covering all charges.

    Pre Check In > Mandatory information

    Infants are required to enter a mobile number and email address or pre check in cannot proceed.

    Functionality is required to turn this requirement off.

    More functionality is also required for managers to choose the information the require.

    Availability Chart on Corporate Portal
    We would like to have an availability chart accessible to for agents so they can easily see where the gaps may be in availability. Right now there is no easy way for them to do this, other than to constantly adjust dates until they find availability. It could look like the Availability Chart we have access too or a simple booking chart.
    We want to make the Corporate Portal as easy to use and informative as possible to help generate more bookings through our Agent partners.

  20. Guest Portal - Limit guest payments to IBE

    Ability to have an option to limit only IBE reservations to make payments via the guest portal.

    Currently, if your business is paid by an OTA after departure, guests from an OTA (Booking.com or Airbnb) login to the guest portal and do make payments which then causes a refund issue.
