RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Option to Use Maintenance Notes as Maintenance Reservation Title on the Booking Chart

    Reflect contents of notes to maintenance on the booking chart

    When using the maintenance function and using the booking chart, the text shown is always "maintenance" regardless of the reason behind it.

    Since there is a "notes" section when creating new maintenance dates, it would be helpful to show the content of the notes on the purple bar, as reservations do with name, group, etc.

  2. Ability to Pause Triggered Correspondence & Option to Exclude Individual Reservations

    Please allow PAUSING triggered correspondence

    It would be great if triggered correspondence could have a pause feature. Sometimes we need to go back to departed reservations and unconfirm them to fix en error etc, then check in/check out.
    Unfortunately every time we do this we get calls from past guests as they receive triggered correspondance welcoming them etc...very frustrating for all.

  3. Integrate In-Stay Survey from Review Pro

    Currently RMS only supports the Post-Stay survey from Review Pro.

    The In-Stay survey is important as it provides the hotel staff information on the guest in-house.

  4. Booking Chart: Property Level Display Options

    The booking chart default options need to be revised to include specific areas that we need checked. Currently, when adding a new user, I have to log out of RMS and back into RMS with the new user credentials in order to check the boxes after clicking the gear settings icon in order to save this view. After completion, I need to log off from the new user profile and back into RMS for my level. I spoke to Lon at RMS support and he recommended I post this as a suggestion as the default view cannot be revised with…

  5. Ability to Set Form Letters Inactive

    There are multiple features within RMS (Rates, Categories, Areas etc) that currently enable us to select something and set its status to 'Inactive', allowing it to remain in the system, but not impede the day to day functions of a business.

    I believe this feature would be useful if it were enabled in 'Form Letter Setup'. This feature would allow a business to keep outdated correspondence templates (should they be needed again) and allow only the most recent/relevant form letters to appear/be selected when sending out correspondence.

  7. Multi-lingual Functionality on Guest Portal

    Multi-lingual functionality is needed on Guest Portal.
    RMS Users outside English speaking countries will benefit from this during the pandemic. For example, for us in Japan we would like to utilize Guest Portal for our domestic travelers' pre-checkin process especially during this pandemic. We can't use it currently because it is only available in English.

  9. Arrival List Report - Add Past + Future Date Combinations

    For the Daily Reports - Arrivals eg there are lots of date range options, but we really need to see the last 7 days + the next 21 days on the same report, so that our cleaners can see current, outgoing and incoming guests/dates on the same report.

  10. Make Area ID reportable in the Report Wtiter

    We would like Area ID added as a reportable field in the report writer.

    Some of our rooms have multiple beds in them, and we manage each bed as a room within RMS. Since the name of the rooms use both numbers and letters, when we want them in numerical order neither RMS nor excel (when we export as a csv file) can order them as we intend.

    Since the rooms are added into the system in our intended order, having Area ID reportable would make it easier for us to sort each room (bed).

  11. Add 'None' as an RV Slide Option

    We are a camping facility, and it would be great if 'None' was an option for camping slides in the IBE because not all motorhomes/trailers have slides.

  12. In Out Screen Email to Primary & Secondary Email of Selected Guests

    Ability to send correspondence from the In/Out screen to multiple emails for a single guest when several guests are selected.

    There is an option to add a secondary email to the guest profile, but when in the In/Out Movements screen and multiple guests are selected, the correspondence does not send the secondary email for a single guest. It only sends to the primary email.

  13. Triggered Correspondence Time Action: Area - Clean

    Triggered Correspondence - Automation

    Adding a new 'Action' of 'Res-Clean'

    So a triggered correspondence can be set XX hours after the unit is marked as clean, as many other actions are reliant on whether the guest has checked in or not.

  14. In-House Guest Ledger Detail Report

    An In-House Guest Ledger Detail report that is capable of providing the check In date , anticipated check out date, market segment, room rate, balance on folio, and settlement type on the guest accounts for a specified date.

    The total of these guest balances should then correspond directly with the Guest Ledger closing balance reflected on the night audit report.

    This would be an accurate control tool for our accounting procedures.

  16. Read Only Guest Details on Pre Check-in

    Have guest details as a read only when completing Pre-Check In via the Guest Portal

    We don't want the guests to be able to change their details when clicking on the Pre Check In link. I believe this would be best if it was a read only.

  17. Custom Pre Check-in Status Colour

    Change Pre Arrival Status colour so it is not so close to the Arrived Status.
    Arrived status is blue and Pre-Arrival is also a blue colour. Would be good to have a different colour so you can differentiate between the two.

  18. Ability to use Web Fonts or Upload Font Files

    Add your own fonts to Correspondence
    Our business uses the one font for all signage, emails etc. We would like the ability to upload my own font in RMS. ( i have the font files). Either my system admin or could a RMS support request do this for us? Once done, it does not need to be added again. Im happy with my font being shared with all of RMS users.
