RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. RMS Pay Settlement report - need the ability to group by transaction type

    Is it possible to add an option with the RMS Pay Settlement report, to be able to group by the transaction type to easily identify refunds, authorised and settled transactions? And also to be able to group by card type (Visa, Mastercard etc) would be of benefit.

    Other reports have this grouping functionality but it's missing from this report.

    We are currently having to save it as an Excel report then sort and filter it ourselves, which is time consuming when it would be much easier to have the selection options in the report generation.

  2. Include the ETD field to the Departures Report

    Include the ETD field to the Departures Report so I can see if a late or early departure is arranged without going into each booking. At least make it an option that can be selected if required when building or scheduling the report.

  3. Improve Arrival Date and Pricing Adjustment Logic in RMS Cloud

    In the current version of RMS Cloud, it is possible to change the arrival date for guests, but this adjustment does not affect the pricing for their stay. This limitation creates a significant issue for properties managing guests with varied lengths of stay within the same booking period.

    Currently, there is no automated pricing adjustment that reflects this type of arrangement. Guests are still charged the full price based on the original check-in and check-out dates, even though they are not occupying the room for the entire duration. This leads to the following:

  5. Tracking for Email Validation

    Currently once you request for a batch of emails to be validated from the EDM/Report Writer section, there is no tracking so you can see the progress of this. Especially when validating a large number of emails (10k plus) this can take up to 4 hours and RMS obviously times out in that time frame.
    Once you log back in you cannot see where the validation progress is up to until you get a completion email.

  6. Customizable Pre- and Post-Stay Guest Messaging

    I’d love to see RMS offer a feature where properties can set up customized guest communications that trigger before arrival or after departure. Examples include:

    A welcome message with property info and check-in instructions a few days before arrival.

    A mid-stay reminder about amenities, dining options, or activities.

    A thank-you message after departure that includes a survey link or loyalty program invitation.

    This kind of automation would not only reduce manual tasks but also help build stronger guest relationships and encourage repeat bookings.

  7. Crew Change

    We have bookings for companies who stay for extended periods and at times will change workers over in the accommodation. It would be good if there was a way it would show when a replacement guest is due to check-in and the current guests departure date without having to create a new booking. We have companies who have on-going bookings that can be for long stay which reduces the GST component but not if we have to make it a new booking.

    There should be an option to invoice either the full amount or a specific percentage of the total, based on the required deposit. Currently, the system only allows you to invoice all charges or select specific line items, but there’s no way to simply enter a set amount or percentage to invoice as a deposit.

  10. Add a Credit Card transaction fee on Gift Cards purchased through the portal

    I would like to be able to charge a Credit Card transaction fee on Gift Cards purchased through the portal much like you can when accommodation is charged with a Credit Card.

  11. More options for dashboard customization.

    Can you please consider adding more options for the dashboard. It is great to have but need more options to give us what we need to see quickly on a daily basis. I would love to have the option to have the Debtor's Ledger in a pie graph form showing 30/60/90. I would also like to see the occupancy in a pie graph with the option to choose from the different site types.   12. BillRoomType automatically defaults to RoomType on reservation creation.

    It would be handy to have a setting allowing the BillRoomType reservation field to automatically default to the Room Type reservation field when a booking is first created/generated.

    Our property has many identical apartments that for online inventory purposes have to be listed separately as One-Bedroom or Two-Bedroom Apartments. We can adjust these manually for availability by setting BillRoomType to the desired configuration (for rate correction) and setting requirements for housekeeping (ie. Lock/Unlock 2nd Bedroom).

    Currently when we issue confirmation (form) letters, we reference the Room Type field for rate adjustment and have to remember to manually adjust this on…

  13. I would like Merge Field for the number of occupants on a reservation

    Currently there are merge fields number of adults, children or infants, but not a merge field simple for the total number of guests in a room/area reservation. Please add this Merge Field.

  14. Option for Direct Deposit to be weekly, fortnightly as well as monthly

    Currently, the direct deposit system only allows for monthly payments. It would be very helpful if weekly and fortnightly payment options could also be made available, as this would provide greater flexibility and better align with how many people budget their income.

  15. Do NOT show rates for Unavailable rooms on the NEW 2025 IBE

    According to RMS support, the new IBE shows "Starting at" rates for UNAVAILABLE rooms "by design". What? Why ? This is a terrible "design" that serves no purpose whatsoever and only adds to confusion and aggravation of guests (and properties). Unavailable rooms simply should NOT have "starting at" rates shown. Easy.

  16. Add checkbox to exclude additions during a specified date range

    We have "dog" listed as an additional as we have a 2 dog maximum. We have also introduced a dog exclusion period and would like to remove "dog" from showing up on the IBE during specified periods.

  17. Enhancement to get “ Subject to Extension” field for RMS / Report writer

    There is field under “Subject to Extension” but we can’t find this value anywhere in any of the standard reports and even in the Report Writer (Under Utilities in RMS). will be great to activate it at least in Report Writer

  18. Alert Users When Another User Is Editing the Same Reservation

    Currently, multiple users can edit the same reservation simultaneously without any warnings. This often leads to conflicting changes or accidental overwrites, causing confusion and double-entry issues.

  20. Option to Adjust Reports for Day of Week

    I would like the option for YOY comparison reports to adjust for day of week.

    When using pace to analyze holiday weekends or specific weekdays in the future I am unable to do so effectively because the report only compares like dates, and doesn't adjust for day of week.

    This would also be helpful analyzing the Marketing report which I use to monitor reservation activity YOY - we're always a day (or two every leap year) off and comparing data for different days of the week, which have different booking tendencies.
