RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

    Have an option for a ‘pop-up’ message to appear on save and close of check-in. For example: “Have you checked guest license” or “Ensure payment is made” any custom message.

  3. Add Audit Trails to all Setup

    We would like and audit trail developed for the SetUp section of RMS so we can see which user has changed fields

    Some changes were made in the set up section of RMS and there is no way to see who had made the change. This audit feature would be helpful for users to educate staff on how the system works and how we can communicate the effects of changing fields across the enterprise system....

  4. Ability to mark Guest Portal Messages as 'Actioned'

    Have a done/ tick box for the guest portal messages .

    When multiple users are responding to messages via the guest portal a tick to show it has been done or is being dealt with would be good - similar to outlook, which we use the done tick when responding to emails, to save an unprofessional double up .
    At the moment the only way we can stop this is to archive the message , which is not a terrific option as it would be good to see the messages dealt with and find them quickly.

  6. Change default order of years displayed in the calendar selector

    Change the order of the years to show the most current year at the top, i.e first year now in the selection is 2000. If I want to go to 2020 I have to scroll all the way down the list to the bottom. 2020 isn't even displaying. Who needs regular access to make changes to previous years instead of the current and future year?

  7. Schedule Email Reports with Dynamic Dates from Report Writer

    I would like to:
    1) Set a Dynamic Date Range in a Report Writer template statement. I.e. Last 7 Days instead of March 21 to March 28, etc.
    2) Schedule a Report Writer report from a chosen Export Template to email the matches from a Statement Template with a dynamic date range.

    The utility of Report Writer for customizable datasets is incredible, but it's stuck behind a substantial set up (which is necessary to achieve the customizability).   8. Provide email notification for expiring Scheduled Reports when your group has multiple standalone properties.

    Provide email notification, ontop of the message centre, for expiring Scheduled Reports. We have 9 standalone properties with head office originating these reports but we do not receive notification. We physically have to log into each property to see the notification.

  9. Availability Calendar Without Lead Rate

    The lead in tariffs are problematic for people who run different rates depending on the length of stay. In RMS the guests are constantly selecting the availability calendar then they cant see rates and think they cant book. Its not following logically in the guest experience and is clumsy. If they choose view rates they would be able to see the calendar and chose a corresponding stay length rate. Not having just a simple availability YES or NO would solve all the problems.   11. Online Checkins Filter Expedia and Booking.com Virtual Cards

    If a guest who has paid one of these two popular OTAs wants to do an online checkin for late arrival or whatever. Could RMS detect an expedia or booking.com virtual card to exclude a prepayment requirement. I realize one can filter out ALL expedia and booking.com reservations from prepaying requirements as well as stipulate that they need to create a token.The Expedia virtual cards, for example, have the word "expedia" in the token. We have had prepaid guests from Expedia pay twice because of the settings. We have also had OTA guests (more than one might expect) perpetuate fraud…

  12. Add Housekeeping Time Spent to Housekeepers Report & Clean Screen

    Housekeeping task times

    I know you have the functionality so that we can see when housekeeping started and finished a task when using housekeeping tablets however it would be a brilliant idea if you had a column that calculated how many minutes it took rather than us to have to do it manually.   15. Ability to Move Add On Reservations on the Booking Chart

    Add on - Car Parking drag and move bookings on add on chart.
    Currently you need to click on the booking to move a booking to another empty bay, than click on add in and change the bay. Would also like to be able to reserve a bay for a booking that might extend.   16. Add Total Areas Sold & Total Occupancy Summary on Rate Manager Chart (Same as Availability Chart)

    Would be possible to move or duplicate the following tab with room occupancy and number of room sold to the rate manager screed? This will assist in adjusting rates having a clear vision of current occupancy and room sold. I understand we can select to view occupancy and rate or number of room available and rate for each room type, however there is no option of see total number of room sold or total occupancy for the day.

  17. Ability to Setup a Travel Agent Commission on the Rate Type

    Have the ability to setup a Travel Agent Commission on the Rate Type that would be applicable to all Travel Agent Reservations using that Rate Type.

    This can be used where the same commission and rates are available to all Travel Agents.


    it would be a big improvement and time saver to be able to assign travel agent commission at the rate plan level.

    Currently you have to go into every agent and specify the commission for each rate plan, this causes issues when managing travel agent commissions in system if a booking is made by a new travel agent…

  18. New Channel Connection Direct to Amadeus

    Its would be great if we could link Amadeus directly to RMS so i don't have to keep Site Minder just for this one channel

  19. Ability to Select Which Account Sundry Charges Apply To on Setup

    Assign Default Tab to Sundry Items?

    Hi RMS Team,

    We currently have to manually transfer sundry charges from the accommodation tab to the extras tab (as per the help document https://helpcentre.rmscloud.com/accounting/transfer-sundry-charges-from-accommodation-to-extras). It would be nice if we configure the sundry items to automatically show up under extras. We are using all five tabs under Site Income (Account 1: Site Income, Account 2: Extras, Gas, Electricity, and Water).

    Example: We have golf carts as an Add On. When we add it to a site, we want the charge to show up under Extras, but right now it shows under Accommodations…
