Custom Reservation Statuses & Colours
Additional booking status which can be customised with the name of the travel agent and colour for the booking charts for confirmed bookings taken by booking agents
This would allow us to confirm bookings taken by travel agents (eg. Hoseasons) who pay the fees 2 weeks after the customers have left to a different colour other than the confirmed booking colour, which is also used for customers who booked directly with us and paid their money in advance of their arrival. Meaning that when the booking status and surname is selected on the booking chart, we would be able to see confirmed, unconfirmed and confirmed bookings taken by a travel agent but where we are still waiting on payment, rather than having to cross reference across different booking charts

We used to collect payment at the end of the stay and the visuals on the booking chart fit our process perfectly. Now we collect before arrival. We send reservation (unconfirmed) and confirm reservations (receive a contract) and would love a state that allows for a color for someone who is confirmed but not paid. Credit status will not work for us because we have short and long term stays and only partial payment is due upfront for long term stays

In the backend you change
Select a colour
Write a description
A minimum of five different colours or descriptions.
A maximum of 10 different colours or descriptions.
For Example
Select a Colour = Purple
Write a description = Charge not attached
Need to be able to filter the in and our screen based upon reservation status = colour
Examples
You can see all reservation checking in today that are unconfirmed
You can see all reservation checking in today that have VCC
You can see all reservation checking in today with no charge backs attached
You can see all reservation check-in in today that have been backlisted
You can see all reservations checking in today with a declines credit card status

This then gives a receiptionist a prompt from the reservation chart to do something about this reservation. If the colour of the reservation is purple this means that the receptionist needs to add the charge back to the reservation.
More importantly, if the receptionist tries and checks in this reservation a pop-up message appears. No charge back is attached

Colour Light Green = Virtual Credit Card from OTA
When the reservations drops into RMS and there is a VCC the reservation will drop in as Light Green. On the day of arrival at a set time, say 8.00am RMS will AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE all VCC then AUTOMATICALLY change the colour from light green to the current green colour.

Colour red on reservations in booking chart = DECLINED FUNDS on Credit Cards
If a receptionist tries and processes the guest credit card and there are no funds on the guests credit card RMS will AUTOMATICALLY change the colour of the reservation in the reservation chart to red.
This assists receptionist whereby they are able to glance at the reservation chart and know that there this guests credit card has declined.

The colour on the reservation chart for a reservation will automatically changes to Black with white writing when a mobile telephone number = that of a mobile number of a black listed guest.
Therefore, when a reservation drops into RMS, RMS will automatically that the mobile telephone number of the new guest against blacklisted guests against their mobile number.

Note : This are NOT compulsary, they are optional back end of RMS.
EG
1. Select The Colour (red, shown on the reservation chart for the res)
2. Write the decription for the colourExample 1
Colour Red = FUNDS "Decline Credit Card"
NOTE : If a receptionist tries and processes the guest credit card and there is no funds on the guests credit card RMS will AUTOMATICALLY change the reservation colour to red. This will signify that the guest has no funds on there credit card. The property can turn this functionality on or off.
EXAMPLE 2

This signifies a reservation that requires reception intervention
(a) Missing mobile number

Colour = Black = Black Listed Guest
Note this is an area in RMS that need dramatic improvement. If a reservations drops into RMS and the guest is blacklist the reservation is shown as BLACK and the writing white. RMS will AUTOMATICALLY cross reference blacklisted guest mobile telephone number, regardless of the name that a guest uses (alias). If a reservations mobile number equals a blacklisted guests mobile number, regardless of the name then the reservation will AUTOMATICALLY change to BLACK.
I hope these change can be incorported into RMS as a matter of urgency, along with the automoation discribe above.

This has my vote - This would also be useful for flagging reservations where the guest has provided credit card details that are invalid, expired or get declined, so at a glance you can quickly see which reservations you need to chase up replacement credit card details for.

It would be great to be able to add a reservation type and select a colour for that reservation type - eg. an apartment booked the night before for early arrival on day 2, a booking available for relet, corporate booking vs private booking, etc.
