Blacklist online bookings
Blacklisted clients cannot use the online booking system. They should get a message to refer them to call the property for vacancies, or a message saying the room is not available? (or something similar)

An Update of information to this. I don't think that the system will ever be able to blacklist a guest from online bookings as they make the booking with the online agent or your website and it just sends it in. However, the new smart search system has been created to try and allow online bookings to stop duplicating accounts on RMS. This would mean that if a guest that was blacklisted gave the same details, it would come up as a black listed guest in your system. The responsibility would come solely down to you to organise cancelling a booking. As I mentioned in a previous comment as long as you give the agent valid reasons they are more than happy to assist. They can also black list their emails from using their sites as well. Unfortunately this will probably be the best solution possible. I don't see any other solution being possible without higher levels of communication between agent and RMS, and this would result in guests changing their details to allow themselves entry.

This may not help but to combine them there is a merge setting. You are also able to call agents to inform them that the guest is black listed from the hotel and I have found they are compliant with this. I guess this could be a more work involved work around. but it doesn't work if you don't pay attention.

I think this would be a fantastic solution! RMS can "talk" to the real-time chart so should be able to also communicate with the client list to view any blacklist details.
I wish there was also a way to avoid the duplication of clients - when someone makes an online booking, it adds them as a new client, and you need to manually overwrite them with any existing clients in RMS, or update.

yes, this only happened to us 2 weeks ago, when they book online we have to accept their booking....this may cause big issues with a property at some stage
