RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

For assistance with using RMS visit the RMS Help Centre or go to Help > Service Requests in RMS and log a new Service Request.

  1. Navigate Back to Property Viewed on RMS IBE

    Navigating backwards during the online booking process currently returns the user to view All Properties. We would like this to remember the specific Property the user had previously selected.

    Example:
    From the Bunya Mountains website, select Accommodation Search and select a Lodge (for example Ecos Studio) > Select date and adults > Book Now (this will then redirect to the Book Now Button) > then you decide you've booked at the wrong dates > change your date range > Refresh > instead of redirecting back to that property you were just looking at it goes back to Bunya Accommodation Centre…

  2. Option to Show or Hide Decimals on the Rate Manager Chart

    An option to show or hide the decimal points of the tariff. For properties that do not use decimal points all the .00 makes the screen very busy and hard to read.

    As this screen is replacing Tariff/ATO Mgmt screen I will have no option to but to try and find my prices thru all the .00 on the screen. IT makes price management very hard.

  3. Bank Reconciliation

    We work primarily with customers Direct Depositing funds to our Trust account and I require the ability to produce a report on a daily basis that matches this regardless of the Date Entered.
    For example, Payments made to us today do not show detail until tomorrow and thus cannot be entered until the following day. This is creating a problem whereby we cannot reconcile bank to RMS on a set period basis.

    You have the option to enter a date banked in the receipt field yet it will not allow me to produce a report based on this information.

    It would be very helpful to know that the client has received emails (read receipt option) This will help in eliminating "I did not receive any emails from you"

  5. Reservations Created via Interactive Map Set as 'Fixed = Yes'

    When guests book online and choose a site/area/room via the map the field under Reservation Options of Fixed should be toggled to Yes. This will eliminate moving of guests if they selected a specific site/area/room and wouldn't want to be moved and automatically show who chose their spots on the booking chart.

  6. Ability to Set 'No Room Charge Back' on Reservations for use with POS & POS Lite

    Place a "POS Stop Transaction" button or check box in the RMS reservation chart for in-house guests who have finalised their Extras Account before actually checking out.
    Scenario:- A guest finalises their Accommodation and Extras accounts the day before they check out of the property – eg due to very early departure the following morning. In this situation we do not want the guest to be able to have additional transactions added to their Extras account via the POS.

    We are pleased to advise that a new optional feature ‘POS Charge to Area’ is now available.

    This option when enabled will provide the ability to send charges back to the reservation account when using a connected POS interface or the inbuilt POS Lite as well as disable charging back and setting a monetary limit for the charges during the total stay.

  7. Delete correspondence

    Being able to delete (In) correspondence if an error was made, you could add this function under the access control as to not have issues of wrongful deletions, or if you do not wish to delete them, just have a hide function so it doesn’t show up until you select show all

  8. Sort By Options on the Transfers Report

    RMS9+ Sorting Transfer List Report.
    Currently the report does not sort by any logical criteria.
    Suggest adding a Sort By to the report search criteria page.
    Or at least the report should sort by time and date of the transfer

    Promote the Suggestion Box and or new Suggestion weekly, The Suggestion Box seems to be forgotten about, if it was promoted regularly you might find more votes & ideas are given, the home screen on RMS9+ would be a good spot.

    Thank you everyone for your valuable feedback regarding our User Suggestion Box.

    As you may have noticed over the past few months we have taken significant steps to increase visibility and access to our User Suggestion Box as well as updated the processes surrounding our interactions with customers who have taken the time to provide feedback.

    Our User Suggestion Box is monitored daily with our most popular suggestions being put forward for consideration into a future development sprint. As suggestions progress they are updated to reflect the current work status, with notifications sent to subscribers any time there is a status update as well as once the feature has been released to the Beta environment (where applicable) or a publicly accessible environment.

    Thank you for your patience as we transitioned to this new process, we strongly value the input of our users and look forward to introducing exciting new features…

  12. SMS two way integration

    SMS needs the guest to be able to respond. Currently if the guest replies the guest believes we get the reply and we have no way of knowing the guest replied.

    We currently sell many extras online through the Book Now Button and would like the option to be able to add a photo of each item. For example a bottle of wine, picnic basket, bike hire. Lorraine

  14. Housekeepers Portal - Improvement Suggestions

    It would be great if rooms that have departed would update inside the Housekeepers Portal so they instantly know when a guest has departed and their room is available to be cleaned. Also the ability to highlight with different colours the various task (i.e. Departs GREEN, Services ORANGE, Linen Changes PINK etc...)

    Furthermore, many properties have the housekeeping manager or Motel manager perform 'Room Stripping & Stocking'. If the housekeepers can be remotely advised within the Portal when a room has been stripped and stocked it would also be useful.

  15. to reduce the amount of clicks it takes to print statements/invoices

    It takes 6 clicks to print an invoice/statement and a further 3 clicks to exit out of the screens. This is very time consuming and unnecessary.

    If guest account (not reservation account) has been used, merge is not currently applicable. This would be useful as currently we have numerous guest profiles we cannot merge as one of them the account has been used.

  19. Allow PDF export of NPS Client Survey Report

    The NPS Guest Survey Report is currently not able to be exported to PDF. As we manage four different parks, we want to be able to generate a monthly report of survey responses to discuss issues raised with our park managers either by email or in person with a printed report. Most other reports in RMS are able to be exported to a range of different file types so this should be available. While I understand it is an interactive report where you can click through to the reservation details, it would be great to have the option to export…

  20. Gift Vouchers - Sell & Manage in RMS

    I've just been spekaing with RMS support and found that currently RMS cannot handle the sale of vouchers online (and no plans with future RMS 9+ rollouts at the moment).

    We would like to be able to sell gift vouchers through our website for either a client nominated value, or a value set by us for sale ($50, $100 etc)

    The purchaser can nominate the name of the person who they will be giving it to so that the voucher details & any monies held for the voucher value can be in the client account of the guest, and then…
