RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Travel Managers

    Add the ability to setup Travel Managers and associate them to multiple Travel Agents and Online Travel Agents.

    Travel Managers need to be available as a Bill To option on the Reservation Account when their associated Travel Agent is selected.

    Would be great if Travel Manager is also added to the Payment Mode as well.

  2. Export/Print Restrictions to include Channel

    Have an option for a ‘pop-up’ message to appear on save and close of check-in. For example: “Have you checked guest license” or “Ensure payment is made” any custom message.

  5. Allow a one-time (not per night) resort fee or cleaning fee to be charged when booking online which shows up as a line item in the cart

    These are the two options I currently have and why they do not work:

    1. Use the online booking fee for the cleaning fee: This does not work because the booking fee is added to the folio using the date of booking rather than the date of arrival. So the booking fee is added to our accounts receivable in advance of the actual stay which causes an issue because AR is an asset and guests can still cancel their reservation which would hit accounts receivable and reduce the asset. Accounting does not like this at all because it does not adhere…

  6. Online Checkins Filter Expedia and Booking.com Virtual Cards

    If a guest who has paid one of these two popular OTAs wants to do an online checkin for late arrival or whatever. Could RMS detect an expedia or booking.com virtual card to exclude a prepayment requirement. I realize one can filter out ALL expedia and booking.com reservations from prepaying requirements as well as stipulate that they need to create a token.The Expedia virtual cards, for example, have the word "expedia" in the token. We have had prepaid guests from Expedia pay twice because of the settings. We have also had OTA guests (more than one might expect) perpetuate fraud…

  7. Report Writer field to know if a reservation is a RmMove

    Currently there are fields available which will report if a reservation is part of a group («rGroupMaster» and «rGroupRes_No»).

    I would like to be able to see similar fields for "RmMove" reservations.

  8. Add Receipt Type to User Security Profile

    We have a few receipt types that we would not like some of our users to have access to. For example we have a receipt type called A/R that we use to bill certain guests. However, some of our users are using this for guests that are not setup with terms.

    This option would allow guests who book online to input their own Good Sam membership information (number and expiration date), to be verified against the GS database and stored in their camper profile.

  11. Display Group Master Account Balance on In/Out Movements for Rate on Group = Yes

    I would like to be able to see group balance in the In/Out screen when rate is on group

    At present when the rate is on the group - the In/Out screen will show a $0.00 balance even if there are rooms with a balance owing. This is because the rate is on the group rather than the individual room. Seeing the group balance would assist in ensuring that nothing is accidentally missed - especially when multiple users are using the system.

  12. Display Rate Period Cancellation Policy on the IBE Rate Description

    I would like the cancellation policy to be shown on RMS IBE when i use rate period (not rate type)

    Currently on RMS IBE if you set a cancellation policy to the Rate Type it will show an (i) and have the cancellation policy available for the rate type booked. I would like this to be the case if we are using the cancellation on the Rate Period. We have different cancellation policies for different periods throughout the year.

  13. Add Housekeeping Time Spent to Housekeepers Report & Clean Screen

    Housekeeping task times

    I know you have the functionality so that we can see when housekeeping started and finished a task when using housekeeping tablets however it would be a brilliant idea if you had a column that calculated how many minutes it took rather than us to have to do it manually. Would be great to be able to export a report also so we can keep a record of times.

  17. Option to Set Limit on Number of Requirments Bookable on the IBE

    The ability to limit how many extras someone can add to there reservation via the IBE

    When making a reservation on our own IBE and we get to the add extras section, there is the option to add up to 10 of each item. It would be beneficial if we had the ability to set a limit on how many of each extra a guest can purchase.

  19. Emergency Report

    Emergency Report button

    We are in an area which is subject to frequent earthquake tremors, power brown outs etc and we would like an emergency report button so when we become aware of an issue (such as a tremor) and can expect a power outage, we can head into the reports menu and hit a single button to generate a selection of daily reports for manual operation that are printed and emailed immediately to nominated printer/email.
