RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Ability to Setup a Travel Agent Commission on the Rate Type

    Have the ability to setup a Travel Agent Commission on the Rate Type that would be applicable to all Travel Agent Reservations using that Rate Type.

    This can be used where the same commission and rates are available to all Travel Agents.


    it would be a big improvement and time saver to be able to assign travel agent commission at the rate plan level.

    Currently you have to go into every agent and specify the commission for each rate plan, this causes issues when managing travel agent commissions in system if a booking is made by a new travel agent…

  2. New Channel Connection Direct to Amadeus

    Its would be great if we could link Amadeus directly to RMS so i don't have to keep Site Minder just for this one channel

    We currently are wanting to use the Rate manager on RMS but have needed to continue using Siteminder as Amadeus isnt one of the direct connections available.

  3. Increase font size of Name & Address on Receipts

    Since the upgrade the fonts appear small
    When the receipt is placed in the envelope very hard to read the name due to the small font.

  4. New Channel Management Connection: Hotel Tonight

    Hotel Tonight has become a major OTA over the past five years. It grew rapidly in urban markets first, then has steadily been growing in smaller tertiary markets over the past year or so. Additionally, it was acquired by Airbnb in April of 2019.

  5. Ability for Guests to Upload Multiple Forms of Photo ID on the Guest Portal

    Need ability to upload more than one photo and choose the type of Photo ID on guest portal

    Good idea to ask guests to upload a photo ID, but don't necessarily need passport. Would be good for properties to specify the type of photo ID needed, eg driver's licence, Also need the ability for guests to upload more than one photo on the Guest Portal. Currently they can only upload one photo, and the "add" a photo button in the Client page.

  7. Update Housekeepers Report to Include Previous Reservation Options for Hold Over Departure Cleans

    If have any hold over rooms, the report removes the length of stay from these rooms. it keeps the guest name and date of departure but not how many nights the room was occupied. Can we please include the length of stay for hold over departure rooms? Thanks

  9. Void Charge when Remove Requirement from a Reservation

    Some of our requirements are attached to sundry charges so when we add them into a booking, the attached sundry charges will also be auto-posted in the guest account.
    However this is not the case with removal of requirements. When we remove a requirement from the "Requirements" section in a booking, the related sundry charge will still stay in the guest account. We have to go back to the account and manually remove the sundry charge which is very tedious.   10. Group Reservations - move last sibling

    To be able to remove the last sibling from a group and delete the group master. Sometimes a booking is placed in the wrong group and we have to cancel the booking and rebook rather than just moving it.

    I would like to be able to change the formatting/wording on email refund so it is received better by our guests.

    The wording in the body of the email is very plain.
    No logo. no contact number. no park signature.

  12. Enable use of a card swiper with tablet during digital check-in to capture their credit card number; vs manually typing it in.

    During the digital check in process guests are using a tablet. Step three requires a credit card, if they need to enter a new one in they have to manually enter it; and the drop down menu for the card expiration date is very difficult to get correct with fingers. It would be much more convenient to just have the guest swipe their card on the tablet. It would decrease check-in time as well.

    Please add Payment mode, company and travel agent columns to mitigate the need to manually enter each reservation daily to ensure all inhouse guest have paid/ have someone looking after their Bill (TA or company or CCD chargeback).

  15. Allow rooms to be sold as 'double/twin' with guests needing to confirm their bedding choice

    I would like to be able to sell a room which is configurable as a double or twin, and force the guest to choose their bedding configuration as part of the booking process.

  16. Reverse Receipts

    We would like to reverse receipts paid against an invoice without having to cancel the invoice first, as the invoice still needs to be paid.
    Having to cancel the invoice, then reverse the receipt, means we then have to recreate the invoice (which will have a new number and will be dated today instead of the original inv date) adding confusion to sales figures / due date of invoice and a new set of inv no/dates for customers. Reverse receipt is a basis accounting action.

  18. Add Number of Guests to the History & Forecast Report

    Please add adults (or people) to the History and Forecast report

    As a large scale marina - we use the adults field for linear footage and need to be able to see how much we have sold OTB looking forward and also want the statistics for going backwards. I would expect that those using this for a hotel etc would find it helpful also to be able to see adults/people OTB to predict cover counts/food and beverage staffing etc.

  20. Ability to Customise RMS Internet Booking Engine Confirmation Page Text

    Make the Online Booking Engine confirmation header text customizable.

    Currently this area pulls the Guest Name, Arrival Date and Online Confirmation No fields, but puts them into text that does not align with our reservation and deposit policies. Now it says:

    Thanks <Given> <Surname>,
    We look forward to welcoming you at <Property Name>, on
    <Arr Date>. Your Booking Confirmation ID is <Online Conf No>
    Thank you for booking with us.

    We would like to be able to change the default text to terms & phrases that we use...

    For instance "your booking confirmation ID" becomes "your booking reference number", etc.
