RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. More Date Filters on Reports

    Reports to include date range of "same month last year" and "Financial year".


    I would like to be able to compare reports this month's revenue for example with the same month last year. We can only select last month, this month, next month. I know I can add a custom range, but would be quicker to have this button. Would be helpful for dashboard reports. There's no use comparing February's revenue to January's. I would like to compare this February to last February for a more helpful comparison.

  2. Report Writer - Add Guest Date Modified Field to Search

    Add Date Modified to Guest in report writer

    I am trying to update our owner database. I have a template based on guest type = owner and owned as at = todays date.

    I am able to get a list of all owners, but I can't determine when the last time their information was updated.

    I would like the field 'Date Modified' added to the report writer Guest search table.

  3. I would like the international dialling code to be able to be set as mandatory.

    Currently, there is no way to set the international dialling code to mandatory. If this is going to be a required field for SMS moving forward, it should be a mandatory field OR the ability to set it as mandatory for those who utilise the SMS modules.

  5. Tariff Audit Report

    Hi Team,

    We would like to request for a report that would be able to identify any changes made in the tariff manager on any given day.

    We want to see an audit trail of Tariff Overrides, Tariff Adjustments, and Daily Bar changes that is created and deleted everyday.

    This has been asked by Auditors to make sure that we would be able to investigate any changes in the tariffs by a user access.

  6. Have icons for bedrooms and bathrooms on rooms/properties online

    Our business type is holiday homes and apartments. We would love to add to the Sleep icon (number of people) other icons for bedrooms, bathrooms etc to show up on the booking page for individual areas/properties.

  7. I would like 2nd deposits due to show on the Overdue Deposit List for Master Reservations.

    Currently if the RMS reservation is listed as Master, the 2nd deposit is not showing, nor does the individual reservations show up on the Overdue Deposit Report. Could we either have a) Individual reservations on overdue deposit report or b) master reservation on overdue deposit report.

  8. Exclude Fixed Reservations from Inventory for Channels

    I would like channel managers (booking.com) to look at fixed reservations and not include as available inventory for "Quote" reservations

    Currently booking.com does not look at FIXED reservations when looking at inventory for available nights. Booking.com will still allow a "Quote" reservation and disregards bookings that are fixed and cannot be moved.

  9. Out of order Notes to appear in owners portal (purple bar)

    The ability for Out of Order Notes to appear in the owners portal so owner can see why their property is marked as out of order For example: carpet steam cleaning, external pressure wash or gutter cleans, etc ...

  15. More options for dashboard customization.

    Can you please consider adding more options for the dashboard. It is great to have but need more options to give us what we need to see quickly on a daily basis. I would love to have the option to have the Debtor's Ledger in a pie graph form showing 30/60/90. I would also like to see the occupancy in a pie graph with the option to choose from the different site types. Lastly, I love that it shows the In House number but would love to see it have the ability to see the number of sites as well;…

  16. BillRoomType automatically defaults to RoomType on reservation creation.

    It would be handy to have a setting allowing the BillRoomType reservation field to automatically default to the Room Type reservation field when a booking is first created/generated.

    Our property has many identical apartments that for online inventory purposes have to be listed separately as One-Bedroom or Two-Bedroom Apartments. We can adjust these manually for availability by setting BillRoomType to the desired configuration (for rate correction) and setting requirements for housekeeping (ie. Lock/Unlock 2nd Bedroom).

    Currently when we issue confirmation (form) letters, we reference the Room Type field for rate adjustment and have to remember to manually adjust this on…

  17. I would like Merge Field for the number of occupants on a reservation

    Currently there are merge fields number of adults, children or infants, but not a merge field simple for the total number of guests in a room/area reservation. Please add this Merge Field.

  18. Option for Direct Deposit to be weekly, fortnightly as well as monthly

    Currently, the direct deposit system only allows for monthly payments. It would be very helpful if weekly and fortnightly payment options could also be made available, as this would provide greater flexibility and better align with how many people budget their income.

  19. Do NOT show rates for Unavailable rooms on the NEW 2025 IBE

    According to RMS support, the new IBE shows "Starting at" rates for UNAVAILABLE rooms "by design". What? Why ? This is a terrible "design" that serves no purpose whatsoever and only adds to confusion and aggravation of guests (and properties). Unavailable rooms simply should NOT have "starting at" rates shown. Easy.

    For us, any given night a room can be either basic (hotel only) or All-Inclusive where the rate for you and a guest could be $165 or $500 (your choice). So, we now have guests with reservations who are checking rates. They are booked for $500 (All-Inclusive), see the…

  20. Add checkbox to exclude additions during a specified date range

    We have "dog" listed as an additional as we have a 2 dog maximum. We have also introduced a dog exclusion period and would like to remove "dog" from showing up on the IBE during specified periods.
