RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. I would like 2nd deposits due to show on the Overdue Deposit List for Master Reservations.

    Currently if the RMS reservation is listed as Master, the 2nd deposit is not showing, nor does the individual reservations show up on the Overdue Deposit Report. Could we either have a) Individual reservations on overdue deposit report or b) master reservation on overdue deposit report.

  2. i would like the amount of guest stays to be on the main reservation screen instead of the drop down

    Put the amount of times a guest has stayed back on the guest screen. Its a terrible idea having it under the stats icon.
    You should be able to open the reservation and clearly see if it is a repeat guest.
    Exactly like it used to be.

  3. Exclude Fixed Reservations from Inventory for Channels

    I would like channel managers (booking.com) to look at fixed reservations and not include as available inventory for "Quote" reservations

    Currently booking.com does not look at FIXED reservations when looking at inventory for available nights. Booking.com will still allow a "Quote" reservation and disregards bookings that are fixed and cannot be moved.

  4. Out of order Notes to appear in owners portal (purple bar)

    The ability for Out of Order Notes to appear in the owners portal so owner can see why their property is marked as out of order For example: carpet steam cleaning, external pressure wash or gutter cleans, etc ...

  10. Option to Delete Tokens on the Receipt Screen

    It would be more convenient and effiecient to be able to delete an old token whilst receipting in the Accomm Account

    Whilst receipting in Accom acc and choosing existing token but token has now been replaced by the customer, it would be very convenient to be able to delete token straight away rather than trying to remember afterwards one finished receipting or having to go out of receipting to delete token. It would be alot more secure and efficient to be able to do it whilst receipting

  12. Have an email/sms alert & log that shows unset triggered and WHY it didnt send.

    We rely heavily on triggered emails and sms to give clients check in information and there is no alert system to show clients have not received booking confirmation, entrance instructions or anything else. When there is an error it just shows red as not sent but no information on why it hasnt sent.

    It would be great when setting up automated Scheduled Reports to be able to select 'print' so it will automatically print the report so it will be ready to go when you first come in or whenever you need it without having to go in and print it off yourself.

  17. Add a IBE Query String to bypass the shopping cart and go straight to checkout

    Whilst the IBE shopping cart is useful for multi-room bookings, it is not very intuitive for single room bookings, which make up the vast majority of online bookings.

    We have many cases of guests ringing up to complete their booking because they can't work out how to finish their booking. Other cases where guest just keep adding rooms to the cart thinking that it's not working, exhausting inventory with IBE pencil bookings.

    Short of reverting back to the simpler IBE without cart functionality, it would be great if we could use a URL query string we could use to bypass…

  18. Add Channel Rate ID and Channel Room Type ID columns to Channel Management Mapping

    Include Channel Rate Id and Channel Room Type (Category) ID columns in Mapping in Channel Management to assist in identifying Rates or Room Types sent by Expedia when multiple Rates or Room types use the same description.

    Channel Rate ID and Channel Room Type ID are included on Channel Room Type Comparison report so info is in RMS.

  19. Do discovery calls with larger hotels regarding pain points

    Many areas of the setup seem like they would be ok for a small hotel but quickly become cumbersome. It would be good to do discovery calls as to the pain points for your larger/growing customers so that the PMS can adapt and keep up with some of the other options on the market for user friendliness on a setup point of view.

  20. Export functions on Room Type & Rate Type Setup Screens

    It would be great to get an export function on some of the setup screens for the following reasons.

    • Record setup at a point in time,
    • Export, manipulate and delegate to someone to make the changes
    • So you can do some lookup functions etc to be able to get a condensed list of things that aren't the way they should be
    • ID's such as Rate Type ID and Room Type ID are only on these screens, when required for Channel Manager CSV Uploading you have to manually type it all from two different screens.
