Add the ability for a user to select to void charges off the Reservation Account when Cancelling a Reservation.

It would be great to be able to have any credit balances (minus any charges) on a cancelled reservation account be automatically transferred to a guest account. Currently only outstanding credit balances on a reservation account is transferred to the guest account when the reservation is changed to departed status. We do not refund if bookings are cancelled, however transfer the credit paid manually into the client account which is a lot of extra work for staff. Having a expiry date on the monies transferred on the cancelled reservation would be great too.

This needs to be done automatically by RMS when the reservation is cancelled if outside the cancellation period. https://candy-crush.io

One option is to void all charges on the https://quordle.onl/ cancellation. This means that you won’t have to pay any fees and it will show up as a negative mark on your credit report. However, this option may not be available in all states. https://subwaysurf.io

Honestly, RMS should be embarrassed about this surely there is a way to automate bookings that drop in and out by the OTA's so we don't have to manually void the tariff off each booking so I can get a basic report on what the business is actually taking. This is a deal-breaker for me I'm out and looking for another PMS.

Strongly support this idea. Whenever bookings are canceled by OTAs the outstanding balance remains in the accom ledger. Recently we had a local infrastructure project canceled which resulted in approx 150 forward bookings being canceled with a combined loss of sales being in excess of $100K. Unfortunately, this amount is still showing as sales in various financial reports, and due to the gap between RMS and actual sales within accounting softare it is creating various management issues.

When bookings are created, the first night tariff is automatically posted on the accommodation account.
We would like it if that tariff was automatically voided when a booking is cancelled. Say if there are no actual payment on the account.
At the moment, when we get a cancellation from a website, we have to search for the cancelled booking, open it, open accommodation tab, void any tariffs still left over and then close. It's time consuming. -

Why is this still a issue? Five years is a LONG time.... This has been requested by many for years. When a guests cancel a reservation it takes 5 steps! YES 5!!!! 1. VOID Charge, 2. Cancellation Charge, 3. Return monies, 4. Send cancellation letter and 5 Change the status to CANCEL. When busy the final step does not get done and I miss out on renting the site out because it is not found until the day of and they do not show... Most of this should be automatic by the system....

When a guest cancels there online reservation outside the cancellation period our accounts is voiding the tariff accommodation manually.
This needs to be done automatically by RMS when the reservation is cancelled if outside the cancellation period.

is this still happening? This would be so helpful. I have to produce a cancellation report regularly and go through to check any that have a balance to find where staff have cancelled without removing charges. Agreed with suggestion below that tariff should automatically be deleted (or at least have pop up box with option to do that) when cancelling.

It needs to go further, automatic deletion of tariff accommodation for reservations that have been cancelled on line.
The automatic charging and notification of cancellation fees when the reservation has been cancelled on line.

This would be fabulous. In reverse, if you void a total tariff charge, there NEEDS to be a pop up asking you if you want to cancel the reservation. Many times my staff has voided the charge, sent the cancellation letter, and forgotten to change the status to cancel.

This has been under review for 2 years, any update on when we might see this option?

RMS would need to consider enhancing the system to accept multiple cancellation rules and deposit rules that are linked to this automatic voiding.

YES PLEASE - automatic removal of tariffs SHOULD occur!! :)

Very important... Group reservations are already confusing just on the guest side. This goes along with automatic removal of tariffs on any cancellation!

This means that you would not have to go and manually void any tariffs and would reduce confusion when a group bookings tariff doesn't balance due to fees associated with a cancelled sibling site.
