RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. I would like the country code for phone field in RMS be searchable by country name

    If we could search the country name, eg Portugal, to find the country's international dialling code. I would not know it's code is PRT and code is +351. There needs to be a better way to search this field.

  2. Ability to add hyperlink to SMS

    It would be really good to be able to use hyperlinks within SMS correspondences, the ability to direct customers to web pages, T & C, pet policies, late arrival info, park maps, etc.
    160 characters more than often is not enough to get the message across. cutting & pasting tiny URLs seems so old-fashioned for both us and the customer using a smart phone.

  3. Lock Rates for FUTURE confirmed reservations when making rate table changes to Additionals

    Currently. if you change the rate for Additionals in your Rate Tables, ALL Future confirmed reservations (in place at the time) will have the rate changed without notice OR warning the moment you check them in (which could be months later), EVEN though they were booked at another rate.

    This issue virtually incapacitates our ability to change the rate for additionals. RMS should not be changing ANY rates instantly at check in without any notice or warning messages. Please correct this issue. Thank you!

  4. Online Booking - Change 'ADD' inthe booking page to 'BOOK NOW'

    Change 'ADD' in the booking page to 'BOOK NOW' as Guests say the do not want to ADD anything extra they just want to BOOK the room

  5. I would like to be able to add my Facebook pixel for remarketing

    We run ads on social media for 'book now' campaigns and would like to be able to embed our Facebook pixel in the IBE so we can track who clicks through, for remarketing purposes.

  6. Setup SMS Templates Per Property (Same as Form Letters)

    We are an enterprise database and want our users only to see their own correspondence. Currently when a new SMS is created it attaches to all security profiles and there is no option to opt in or out of that. (which you can do with form letters/correspondence)

  7. Have an email/sms alert & log that shows unset triggered and WHY it didnt send.

    We rely heavily on triggered emails and sms to give clients check in information and there is no alert system to show clients have not received booking confirmation, entrance instructions or anything else. When there is an error it just shows red as not sent but no information on why it hasnt sent.

  8. Would like to be able to see if guests have a saved cc token on the In/Out Movement Screen

    Instead of having to click into a booking to check who we need to collect CC information from, could simply view from In/Out Movement Screen all in one place

  9. Add Next Arrival in Area on the Clean Screen Task View

    See next arrival on task view, so that we can allocate prioritized rooms

    on the clean screen it would be great to see next arrival on the task view, this would make it easier to allocate prioritized rooms to staff.

    we can now see it in the area view, but we need to write down the rooms to prioritize before switching to task view to allocate

  10. The ability to over ride triggered correspondence when your manually sending it out.

    In my business, every day guests are sent arrival codes via SMS at a time earlier than the scheduled time to trigger the SMS correspondence to them, as there is always someone who calls and asks for an early checkin.
    In these circumstances you dont want the SMS to trigger at the designated time, as it has already been sent to the guest (not a good look to be sending it again and a complete waste of money sending a second time).
    There needs to be either :
    -a tick box when you're setting up the rules of triggered correspondence…

  11. Complimentary Upgrades

    When we are complimentary upgrading our guests the new update on RMS results in 'Would you like to re-create the tariff' is automatically set to YES. This is causing overcharging in our system.
    The option to have this default to NO, as it did prior to the most recent RMS update would greatly help our system.

  13. Allow limits to be set on how many bookings can be taken for a particular rate plan

    If we set up a package to sell rooms + tickets to an onsite event, we really need the option to limit the total number of bookings we take on this rate plan, as we may only have 10 tickets available to the event (for example).

    Currently we can set an allotment to limit the number of bookings per day, but no way to set a total limit at a rate plan level.

  14. Choose 'days available' when setting a derived rate

    I want to set up a mid week rate that is discounted from a master rate with a % discount and only bookable on certain days of the week. I can't see how this can be done without a lot of manual work to set up multiple rate periods (for each week) which is time consuming and quickly gets messy. I would like to be able to quickly tick a box to say which days of the week a derived rate is bookable.

  15. Add a new reservation status called "Postponed"

    Add a new reservation status called "Postponed" for reservations that are not cancelled but postponed and new dates are not yet decided on by the guest and any deposits held stay held on the original reservation accomm accounts until such a time the guest selects new dates and the res becomes confirmed again

  16. Easily identify property when using enterprise

    When you have multiple properties and using enterprise it would be good to visually see what property you are in - just like when you are in training it is purple -
    the ability to set a different colour for each property would be fantastic for easy quick identification and to avoid mistakes of doing something in the wrong property

  17. Include Requirements in Total on the Quoted Rate

    Add a Total amount with requirements/extras to the reservation screen


    Add a Total amount with requirements to the account screen so that you can easily quote the guests their projected total stay and bill correctly upon arrival. Right now it is a manual calculation

  19. Add ID Icon to Guest Profile if Photo ID Uploaded in the Guest Portal

    Show if photo ID has been uploaded to the guest portal on a reservation

    I need to be able to see whether a guest has uploaded photo ID on a reservation, it is to many steps to click through client area and edit, how do i know if it has been uploaded without continually clicking in all the reservations and clicking on client etc.

  20. Increase font size of Name & Address on Receipts

    Since the upgrade the fonts appear small
    When the receipt is placed in the envelope very hard to read the name due to the small font.
