RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Cash Transaction Report - Add Sort By User

    It would be very helpful to have 'User' as an additional option to choose from in the More Options window > Sort by list. This would enable us to view for particular transaction by users for a specific date range.

  2. ******Rate Parity Adjustment on Tariff Manager******

    A function when setting up channels that allows a percentage to be applied to OTA channels to increase their price vs own price. Example would be when setting up the channel with Booking.com, you could set the rate parity adjustment to 1.1 which would increase the pricing of all booking.com prices 10% above the BAR rate. This method is available on other channel managers and saves all the extra work involved if trying to do this using the current methods.

  3. Separating credit card numbers

    When people make an online booking it might be helpful that their credit card details come through with the numbers in groups of 4 like in credit cards. It can make it difficult to read and process manually in the vault when the numbers come through without any spaces

  4. Updating Deposit Amounts

    If you have deposit amounts set up on your rates, if you change the length of stay on a reservation that would essentially cause your deposit amount to be greater than or less than the original deposit amount, RMS should update it in the account section of the reservation.

    This also becomes problematic when reviewing your overdue deposit report because it includes all of these deposits if they have not been hit because they're overstated. People should not have to override the deposit amount- the system should do it for them.

  5. Scheduled Reports: Ability to Select a Rolling Time Frame

    There is not an option to select for e.g. current month and next 12 months OR
    This week and past 4 weeks
    This time frame is used frequently for forecasting, statistical and contingency reporting. Currently for this type of date range it needs to entered as a custom date selection and cannot be scheduled.

  6. Default "BILL TO" in Channel Management Agent setup (like in Company setup)

    We would like to set a specific agent to BILL TO: AGENT as the default but there doesn't seem to be anywhere on the Channel Management setup screen to do this.

    Please note that it is the agent that is located on the channel management page, not an agent that we are manually creating.

    We noticed that if we create a company, there is the option to set a default BILL TO option. (in EXTRA DETAILS) This is what we are trying to replicate in the online agent setup

  7. Ability to Add Digital Signature to All Correspondence, Statements, Tax Invoices & Receipts etc.

    In keeping with your lastest newsletter about going paperless, it would be great to be able to use the digital signature on other documents at checkout as well.

    Eg: asking a guest to sign an invoice or statement as a form of authorization to charge their credit card.

    This way all of the relevant documents would be stored within the reservation and accessible at any time.

  8. Sent Items Report for Triggered Correspondence

    Can there be a report pehaps called "Sent Items" that would return a list of bookings any triggered correspondence is sent to either via SMS or Email. It could have listed fields such as res#, Surname, Arr/Dep, type of correspondence sent, sent date. Just a few ideas

  9. Ability to Set Email Blackout Times for EDM

    is it possible to set blackout times for EDM mailouts?

    There does not seem to be anywhere in RMS that covers general default EDM settings for items such as blackout times.

    we have received a complaint as due to the large number of recipients, the guest received EDM at 11:15pm despite the mailout having been sent out around 8pm.

  10. Add Occupancy By Market Segment to the Occupancy Report

    I would like improved reporting on the market segment field already within RMS.

    Currently market segments can be set up, but gathering data from these is quite time consuming as you need to manually calculate this.

    The Occupancy report is already able to report well on company, travel agent & booking source. It would be great if the market segments could be added to this option.

  11. Show Total Pax Count per Day on Booking Chart and/or Availability Chart

    In additional to showing daily occupancy percentage totals on the Booking Chart it would be very useful to show total pax booked per day.

    Knowing the number of people booked for a day it critical for our operations and is as important to us as the number of rooms booked.

    In some of our properties we have close out rooms from sale if the number of pax in house exceeds a certain level, so having a value on the chart would assist us with monitoring this.

    The only way we can currently track this is to run the Occupancy Report.

  12. Auto Allocate or Suggest Least Used Area on Reservations

    Fair Distribution

    Keep a financial year and monthly tally of revenue per room number and automatically suggest the room number which has the least amount to the room number that has the most amount of revenue when allocating room numbers to reservations.

  14. Owner Accounting: The ability to void multiple charges from OWNER accounts

    Trust Accounting related.

    As we are expanding and having more properties to manage, it has become very time consuming to void hundreds of sundry charges entered in error from each owner account one by one. This is just not feasible with more properties coming in line.

    Can we please have the functionality to void multiple charges from owner accounts? We are aware of the ability to charge owner accounts in bulk, but there's currently no way to void charges from owner accounts in bulk. I'm sure this will be helpful for other RMS Trust Account clients too.

  15. Add Ons with Custom Dates - Prompt User if Reservation Dates are Moved

    We have Add Ons that are added to a booking for a single date of a bookings stay (custom date). As the dates are not the default arrival and departure dates of the booking then if that booking is moved to other dates, the Add On is not moved with it nor is the User warned that there is an Add On. It would be great if a pop up message could appear if booking dates are moved 'Do you want to amend Add On dates too' and if Yes selected the Add Ons Tab is opened. This would reduce…

  18. Requirements List Report - Option to Report on Incomplete Requirements

    When you print a Requirements List, you are unable to only print the uncompleted requirements. The 'Show' drop down lists 'All Requirements', 'Finished Requirements', 'Monitored Requirements' and 'Starting Requirements'. If I have 17 requirements for 1 day and 5 have been completed, I can't print a report that will only show the 12 uncompleted requirements. The 'Starting Requirements' returns the full 17 requirements. The 'Finished Requirements' reports works, showing the 5 that have been completed. It is more important for us though to chase up those requirements that haven't been completed. If Starting Requirements does not mean uncompleted, then perhaps…

  19. Select Arrive & Depart Dates Separately on the RMS IBE

    Allow Departure Field To Be Used and Properly Functioning

    It would be ideal if a user can select the Arrival box, choose a date, then select the Departure field, and select a departure date keeping both dates as selected. You can’t assume a user is going to select both the arrival & departure dates in the same field. This is not obvious and many arrival/departure systems require the user to select both fields.
