RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Ability to Select Which Account Sundry Charges Apply To on Setup

    Assign Default Tab to Sundry Items?

    Hi RMS Team,

    We currently have to manually transfer sundry charges from the accommodation tab to the extras tab (as per the help document https://helpcentre.rmscloud.com/accounting/transfer-sundry-charges-from-accommodation-to-extras). It would be nice if we configure the sundry items to automatically show up under extras. We are using all five tabs under Site Income (Account 1: Site Income, Account 2: Extras, Gas, Electricity, and Water).

    Example: We have golf carts as an Add On. When we add it to a site, we want the charge to show up under Extras, but right now it shows under Accommodations…

  2. Option to Select Account Requirement Charges Apply

    Create an option for requirements to route to the guest folio

    I would like for there to be an option to have requirements route to the guest folio versus the incidentals folio. Many of our "requirements" are essentially add-ons that the guest has to pay for directly. It would be beneficial to the option for all guest charges to be posted on one folio rather than having to transfer the incidental charges each time.

  3. Add 'None' as an RV Slide Option

    We are a camping facility, and it would be great if 'None' was an option for camping slides in the IBE because not all motorhomes/trailers have slides.

  4. New reservation guest search improvements

    We get a lot of guests with multiple profiles because when creating a new reservation the first thing we enter is the mobile number that comes up on our caller ID, if we cannot find a result we go to the surname field then the first name field but, if the phone number in the system is internationalized (i.e. +61 4XX XXX XXX) from an OTA for example, when we enter 04XX XXX XXX it won't match the records with +614XX XXX XXX.

    I would like to see the search not try to match all search fields together but instead…

  5. Put a "Yesterday" button on the booking chart

    This was previously suggested a few years ago but was rejected by RMS to the dismay of many users, so after a few years it's time to suggest it again.

    Out of all the systems I have used in the past 16-years the one feature that was the most valuable and helped with usability is the "Yesterday" button on the booking chart. It is in many other PMS systems such as Seekom for example.

    It's a tiny little details but an extremely valuable detail.
    In the morning you can see your in-out movement visually along with the status that helps…

  6. ACH reverse receipt for NSF

    We would like to see an option to reverse and ACH payment that was rejected by the bank. Reverse option is only available the day of processing but we do not get notification from the bank the same day as the processing day from the bank

  7. Journal entry payment option

    Add journal entry option as a payment method to POS
    Sometimes the POS times out and the credit card processed via the credit card terminal and you are not able to log in the payment via journal entry

  9. Have Payment Gateway Settlement report match credit card processor

    Add the ability to enter a cutoff time for batch closing so that the RMS Payment Gateway Settlement report can match the reports issued to us by our credit card processing company. Currently transactions appear on our reports from the previous day or are missing and will not appear until the following day.

  10. Verify Credit Card Payments Posted to Account is RMS

    A useful feature would be some sort of validation when credit card charges are processed. Currently we have a number of charges processed within RMS and properly processed by our merchant account (OpenEdge) but the result of the charge is not posted to the RMS account. This makes us look bad to our guests (because of double charges to their credit card), makes bank reconciliations very difficult and costs us time and money.

  11. I would like an error message to pop up when a new client contains same details as an existing client profile

    There's too many duplicated clients in RMS due to the user not selecting an existing client profile. it would be good if the system was smart enough to recognise either an email or mobile phone number as already existing. then pop up a window that says.. this client detail already exists. are you sure you want to create a new client? or revert to existing.

  14. Quick stock control invoice entry

    We would like to have the ability to do a stock receipt from invoice on a single form, adding lines and then posting rather than having to find each item manually and add doing the receipt on an item by item basis

  17. Fix the changes to search bar so it functions as it used too

    the changes to the search bar might be great if your searching for some obscure details but the feature is now useless for what you use it for every day. you cant look anything up any more which is really annoying i have to go search things by date all the time to find a booking instead of being able to bang in a name and have it pop up. you need to be able to put in the surname or christian name of a reservation to find it fast. this change is a backwards step.

  19. I would like guests to see the number of rooms available and to be able to book muliple rooms in one click.

    On the booking screen, guests should be able to see a message EG. ONLY 2 Rooms left.

    Also have the ability to select No. of Rooms.
    Currently guests who want to make a group booking ring us as they can't see if there is availability to book more than one room. They currently add one to cart then get message of no more rooms when trying to add another room to the cart. They have to keep guessing availability until they can get two or more rooms booked for the same time period. Very frustrating for guest experience.

  20. I would like improved connection with STRIPE

    It would be better not to be taken to stripe to enter details for processing credit cards when entering manual booking. This is a very messy and additional task that should not be necessary.
