Increase File Size Permissions for Online Photos
Quality photos are so important for hotels and holiday parks. Along with price and reviews, photos are one of the main deciding factors potential guests look at when deciding where to book.
We need to be able to upload higher quality photos, at least 1MB per photo, as 250KB is way too small and takes a lot of unnecessary effort to reduce the size of all our quality photos down to that size.

Warning Box if Remaining Balance Exists when Clicking Check-in
I would like to have a reservation either show a warning or not allowed to be checked-in if there is a balance.

The wording 'Deposit Required' at online booking check out would be more suitable as "payment required"
The wording 'Deposit Required' at online booking check out would be more suitable as "payment required" as many properties require full payment. This becomes awkward and a negative reminder when referring to 'deposit '' when in fact full payment is required. Best to be positive about handing over money not reminding that elsewhere only requires a deposit.

Pop-Up Alert to User When Multiple Users Editing the Same Reservation
A pop-up alert would be helpful when multiple users (one reservation member, and another at reception for instance) are updating the reservation.
Otherwise, both of them assume they update the date, but it is not the case with no data saved..214 votes -
Credit Card details should turn RED if card expires before arrival date
We often receive reservations via booking.com (and other OTAs) for a future month (say 2 months or more in advance) yet the credit card provided expires prior to the month the reservation falls in, however the credit card may not have expired at the time the reservation was made.
It would be great if RMS could highlight these in RED like other expired or invalid card numbers so that as soon as we open them for the first time it is obvious there is an issue that needs to be resolved.
Ideally, the OTA API's should allow the Channel Manager…

Digital Registration Card Upgrades
Additional options available for customisation to the Digital Registration Card:
- Customise fields displayed - Add or Remove as needed.
- Option for guest to email a PDF copy of Terms & Conditions to themselves.
- Branding options to match website, RMS IBE, Guest Portal etc.
- Ability to display selected Requirements for add on to the reservation.

We would like the colour used for "Dirty" on the clean screen to be different to the colour used for "Inspect"
The reception staff would like to be able to just refer to the colour of the dot to determine if they need to go and inspect a room or not (without having to go to the housekeeping screen). At the moment the booking chart screen doesn't allow this as the reception staff does not know if the status is "dirty" or "inspect" because the colour is the same.

Change Receipt Screen Default to No Receipt Type Selected
The user should have to enter payment method by highlighting or checking a box. An error message should appear if nothing is ticked. This is similar to c/card type now. It would save a lot of frustration at the end of day balancing. Every user will think this is a good idea as we have all made the same mistake more than once in our careers.

Tax Invoice - Form Letter Email Body & Customise on Send
It would be great to be able to edit the body of an email when sending tax invoices. It would be extremely helpful to be able to edit the layout of the tax invoice itself, and have the relevant merge fields available to enter whereever desired.

Ability to Set a Booking Source to Populate on Return Guests
The Bkg Source should automatically change to "A Repeat Customer" when that customer books again
This could be very helpful when we want to generate marketing reports on new business and save on booking time.

Cancellation Policy with Cancellation Fees
This would be set up like rates, you cancel within a certain period, a cancellation fee will be charged. If you cancel within 14 days on a holiday "X" will be charged. If you cancel within 7 days "X" will be charged. The cancellation policy would be able to be individualized to each business and their policies. To have to have my staff manually have to go in under Sundry and place a fee won't happen. I need it to be automatic, when the cancel button is pushed.

Ability for Multiple Active User Sessions & Quick Login to Switch User
Quick login so different users can use same computer without having to log out, then log back in. Currently, every user ends up posting under the same user ID because it is too time consuming to log out.

Online Payment Portal for Tax Invoices & Accounts Receivable
Ability for Customer to Pay RMS invoice online with link (using payment gateway)
Ability for customer to pay an RMS generated invoice online using payment gateway. This might be for accommodation or extras charges. Staff can send invoice with link to pay. Customer follows link and pays online, with receipt being generated and account updated within RMS

Default Print Action for Receipts
When receipting, the system automatically defaults to remember the last action, it would be good to have a defaulted action without being changed each transaction or to have the pop up option (like RMS8 had) whether to receipt, email, tax invoice or exit without printing.

Drag and Drop Charges Between Accounts
There used to be a feature to drag and drop charges between the General and Extras Accounts on a reservation, would be good if this feature was put back. Makes life a lot easier.

Occupancy Report Breakdown with Day of Week Comparisons
it would be very useful to be able to breakdown weekend vs mid-week occupancy in reports. This is a useful yield and rate setting tool.

Add option to Tokenize on the reciept screen
Allow the option to tokenize the credit card when first used on the receipt screen. It would save a step or two... especially with new operators or when in a hurry to take the payment. It would save making a special action to tokenize.

Add Pencil as a Button on the Add Reservation Screen
Could we have a "Pencil Button" added to the reservation screen right next to Quote & Confirm buttons. as the customer usually waits until you have all there details, you then ask for a deposit the customer then asks can I get back to you with that or can you just pencil me in... the customer never starts the enquiry with "can you please pencil me in"

In the interim, you may find it helpful for your situation to start with a Pencil Reservation and use the Convert to Reservation option once the customer on the phone agrees to pay the required Deposit. You can also lookup an existing Guest Profile on the Pencil Reservation screen which can save you valuable time re-entering the information when they change their mind to ‘pencil me in’.
