RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  2. Need the ability to change the automatic room assignment order within a specific room type

    Because RMS assigns the rooms within a room type in the same order all the time, the rooms with the lowest numerical room number get more use than the rooms with higher room numbers, so they wear faster. If this order could be manually manipulated or even set to a random selection, it would resolve this issue.

  3. Test & Tag Results in Asset Management

    Test & Tag results should be set up so that we are able to schedule & record results.
    Each electrical appliance must be test & tagged and each appliance tested has a unique tag and tag number attached.
    It should be available on the maintenance to do or job tasks so they can complete the results and post on to the asset/dwelling/ room number.

  4. Have the room type listed next to room number on Booking Chart

    It'd be great if we could view by room number on the Booking Chart but still see the room type for each room, either in an extra column or next to the room number.

  5. Zapier or IFTTT integration

    Add Zapier (https://zapier.com/developer-platform) or IFTTT integration to RMS. This way we could connect multiple other services to our account and have it trigger different things.

  7. Flag for a reservation/in-house

    Similar to requirement section to have a Flag pop up small window that you can choose for any department to appear, example for reception to show a message on check in and or on check out. for instance, a flag is added for check in saying please wish happy birthday to Mr Smith, or on check out Flag to show guest borrow an adaptor please collect.

  8. Reservation Made/Modified Details

    It would be great if we could see the exact time reservations are made. Currently it only shows the date, but I know it is data that is collected and available when I go into each reservation. Same could be said for the Online Reservation Transaction report. We'd really appreciate this. Thanks.

  9. Default In/Out Movement Screen Date to Audit Date

    Currently the In/Out Movement Screen defaults to the local time on your computer. After midnight, we are still checking in guests that are from the same audit date but it's defaulting to the next day. This is confusing and doesn't make any sense when checking in guests after midnight prior to the audit. I imagine most hotels are still checking in guests after midnight for the previous night. I would would suggest the same for the Booking Chart.

  10. Remove Duplicate Emails in EDM > Send Campaign > Report Writer

    Please add to Report Writer the option to "Remove Duplicate Emails"

    We often have guests traveling in groups and coporate clients that use the same email address, so when we go to send an EDM, they end up getting the same email multiple times.

    Pre Check In > Mandatory information

    Infants are required to enter a mobile number and email address or pre check in cannot proceed.

    Functionality is required to turn this requirement off.

    More functionality is also required for managers to choose the information the require.

    Availability Chart on Corporate Portal
    We would like to have an availability chart accessible to for agents so they can easily see where the gaps may be in availability. Right now there is no easy way for them to do this, other than to constantly adjust dates until they find availability. It could look like the Availability Chart we have access too or a simple booking chart.
    We want to make the Corporate Portal as easy to use and informative as possible to help generate more bookings through our Agent partners.

  17. I would like a text message notification when the MFI processor stops running

    I would like a notification via text message as well as email when the MFI Processor stops running. Lately the MFI processor has been dropping out at night (power outages etc) when emails are not monitored. It would enable us to fix the issue before guests call us that they are not able to get through the boom gates.

  19. Set Rate on Group on the RMS Internet Booking Engine

    IBE Group Reservation correspondence has never worked properly

    Since the IBE payment always goes on the Group Master but the charges remain on the sibling reservations, there are no options for Group Reservations to ever receive an accurate triggered correspondence that properly shows "balance owing" or "payment made." Sibling reservations will always show a zero payment made with a full balance, and group master will always show a negative balance owing due to a payment but no charges.

    Please turn this into a job so this gets corrected - it has been an issue for many years with no reasonable…

  20. Simplified Replace Guest Tool for Group Reservations

    Currently, when adding guest names to room numbers as part of a group, we can use either the Quick Add, Replace Guest, or set primary methods to change from the original names on the group res.
    The Quick add method is great, love it. However, we still need to delete each of the original names in the group res (usually the booker's name or the group name).
    Suggestion:
    Have tick boxes next to each name so users can simply tick the old names to be deleted at one go, rather than having to delete them individually.
