RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. Be able define minimum daily rate in a tariff table

    When setting up a tariff table, there is a field called "Min Charge Per Period", but it's not very clear what this field does.

    I would like to be able to define a minimum nightly rate for each tariff table. This field would a a floor rate that no calculated, dynamic, overridden or derived rate could be less than.

    This would ensure that whatever adjustment as made in the tariff manager would not create a nightly rate which is below our floor.

  2. Triggered Correspondences with new room types included by accident but need to have it exclude

    Triggered Correspondences with new room types included by accident but need to have it exclude
    the room type will included itself in all triggered correspondences if set up incorrectly to all triggered correspondence. The only way to remove the room type is to physically go through each triggered set-up and manually remove the category.

    Ideally, when you change the room type from included to exclude in set up, this room type should be removed.

  4. Postcode Mailouts

    Just wondering if you could create a one button postcode report for a certain period that we could attach a letter/flyer to. There are times when occupancy could be boosted so to have something at our fingertips that allows us to send an email/flyer to targetted postcodes virtually straight away would be awesome.

  5. Booking online should not allow the use of a credit card that will expire before the check-in date

    We got scammed by a guest who booked with a CC that expired before they checked in. They booked on Sept 30th, card expiration was 09/21. Check-in date was Oct. 15th. We got a new card at check-in and created a pre-auth. Guest left the property and reported the new card lost or stolen so we are now unable to charge for the stay. There needs to be some rule in place that prevents a booking on a card that is going to imminently expire so that this type of behavior can be prevented before the guest is even permitted…

    To be able to select or type in the number of days a tenant is in arrears rent on a statement, for the font to be in red.

  8. Ability to assign Housekeepers jobs in portal up to a month in advance NOT just daily

    I cant use the housekeeping portal because its really only useful to people who run hotel who have housekeepng staff rostered on everyday. Its a shame that i cant use it because it is rigid. My cleaners are assigned to a holiday house or a unit and they need to be booked as far in advance as possible so i cant use the portal. If there was a set up option to choose cleaning assigned as either daily or say a month in advance that would be much better. you could then assign contractors in advance

  10. An alert to come up when someone adds a requirement through the guest portal.

    its great that with the new feature i can now display optional extras for guests in the portal. However some optional extras require arrangements to be made ahead of time like booking a tour or some hire equipment.
    Could we get an alert in the message centre when someone adds an optional extra in the guest portal so it can be actioned immediately?

  11. Travel Managers

    Add the ability to setup Travel Managers and associate them to multiple Travel Agents and Online Travel Agents.

    Travel Managers need to be available as a Bill To option on the Reservation Account when their associated Travel Agent is selected.

    Would be great if Travel Manager is also added to the Payment Mode as well.

  13. The new feature to forcing us to re-avtive reports every X days needs to be reviewed.

    I'm not a regular user of the system but setup reports to feed data to other systems via automation. This new feature breaks our automation and as i don't log into the system everyday I deal with many many difference on premise and cloud based systems and have never seen anything like this imposed on users of a system. There needs to be a way for uses like mine to not be included in the normal report deactivation. Even if its something your team has flag in the database.

  16. Allow a one-time (not per night) resort fee or cleaning fee to be charged when booking online which shows up as a line item in the cart

    These are the two options I currently have and why they do not work:

    1. Use the online booking fee for the cleaning fee: This does not work because the booking fee is added to the folio using the date of booking rather than the date of arrival. So the booking fee is added to our accounts receivable in advance of the actual stay which causes an issue because AR is an asset and guests can still cancel their reservation which would hit accounts receivable and reduce the asset. Accounting does not like this at all because it does not adhere…

  17. Online Checkins Filter Expedia and Booking.com Virtual Cards

    If a guest who has paid one of these two popular OTAs wants to do an online checkin for late arrival or whatever. Could RMS detect an expedia or booking.com virtual card to exclude a prepayment requirement. I realize one can filter out ALL expedia and booking.com reservations from prepaying requirements as well as stipulate that they need to create a token.The Expedia virtual cards, for example, have the word "expedia" in the token. We have had prepaid guests from Expedia pay twice because of the settings. We have also had OTA guests (more than one might expect) perpetuate fraud…

  18. Report Writer field to know if a reservation is a RmMove

    Currently there are fields available which will report if a reservation is part of a group («rGroupMaster» and «rGroupRes_No»).

  19. Add Receipt Type to User Security Profile

    We have a few receipt types that we would not like some of our users to have access to. For example we have a receipt type called A/R that we use to bill certain guests. However, some of our users are using this for guests that are not setup with terms.
