RMS User Suggestion Box

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  1. I would like you to fix the BUG relative to "Non-Contiguous" reservations

    When a multi-day reservation arrives electronically, sometimes there is no one room which can accommodate that reservation, but there are different rooms available on different nights which could cover the reservation. For example I receive a reservation for 2 nights, and I have room 40 available for the first night and room 41 available for the second night. I term these "Non-Contiguous" reservations.

    I receive a "Quote" reservation, an email and an "Urgent Action Required" notification which does not commit the rooms but the guest is told they have a reservation. I do not have a staff member permanently assigned…

  2. Message centre notifications

    Red bubble is very inconsistent and disappears when someone only reads the messages, not answers them. Would be great to have the ability to mark messages as unread once viewed so all team members know that they are still to be actioned. Also, the red bubble doesn't seem to work at all sometimes.

  3. I would like to be able to hide tax on registration cards.

    There already is a function to hide the room rate on registration cards, but tax cannot be hidden. When we print registration cards for OTA booked reservations, we hide the room rate, but the taxable amount still shows up. Please provide a function to hide this as well.

  4. Ability to see the current house availability when assigning rooms to a group allotment

    If we could see the number of rooms that are currently available at the house level then we wouldn't have to worry about over-selling a room because we added more to the allotment than we actually had in inventory at the time the allotment was set up.

  5. Add Total Areas Sold & Total Occupancy Summary on Rate Manager Chart (Same as Availability Chart)

    Rate Manager Screen

    Would be possible to move or duplicate the following tab with room occupancy and number of room sold to the rate manager screed? This will assist in adjusting rates having a clear vision of current occupancy and room sold. I understand we can select to view occupancy and rate or number of room available and rate for each room type, however there is no option of see total number of room sold or total occupancy for the day.

  6. Setup SMS Templates Per Property (Same as Form Letters)

    We are an enterprise database and want our users only to see their own correspondence. Currently when a new SMS is created it attaches to all security profiles and there is no option to opt in or out of that. (which you can do with form letters/correspondence)

  7. Weekly Rate with Variable Weekly Discount

    to discount a set amount for every full week stayed

    For every week booked a set discount is taken off the camping fees.

    For a 7 night stay there is a £20 discount, for a 14 night stay there is a £40 discount, for a 21 night stay there is a £60 discount etc.

    At present you have to use a tariff rate which is fine for 7, 14, or 21 night stays as it calculates correctly. But as this tariff rate is set at a weekly cost, a 16 night stay calculates at the same cost as a 21…

  8. Guest Facing Quoted Rates Report

    Present professional looking quotations

    Hi There,
    Sometimes we get request for quotes, would love a report option that we can pull out our room rates for selected rooms & tariffs, and price ranges or even specific dates.
    I end up copy and pasting from website and send a bit of time making look pretty.
    If you could help with something like this woudl be good at attracting new business.

    An online property availability calendar that isn't connected to a specific tariff. So customers can see when a property is available, and then be directed to the correct tariff once they have selected their available dates from the calendar.

  10. Calculate Rate on Recorded Guest Movements

    Changes in people per booking

    Situation is that all the camp sides are having huge difficulties managing changing people in ongoing reservations. For example think of a group that has 4 people over the weekend, but than it reduces down to 2 for the remaining days they booked.

    What they are looking for is a way to have a field where you can add the amount of people per night to calculate the invoice, instead of having to split bookings into groups.

    It's a real pain point for our camp grounds.

  11. Automated Direct Debit or Credit Card Payment

    I would like guests to be able to elect autopayment for recurring charges

    I would like the ability for our long term guests to opt in to autopayment of their monthly charges, where they could select the date that they would like their credit card payment taken and the amount that they would like charged. This would be very convenient for guests and staff.

  13. Children Category in Reservation Field

    Allow a '0' to be placed in the Children & Infant data box in the reservation field, when this is set as a required field because we have this set as a requirement so that the staff member must enter a number, in order to work out linen numbers.

  14. Add Occupancy By Market Segment to the Occupancy Report

    I would like improved reporting on the market segment field already within RMS.

    Currently market segments can be set up, but gathering data from these is quite time consuming as you need to manually calculate this.

    The Occupancy report is already able to report well on company, travel agent & booking source. It would be great if the market segments could be added to this option.

  15. Add Audit Trails to all Setup

    We would like and audit trail developed for the SetUp section of RMS so we can see which user has changed fields

    Some changes were made in the set up section of RMS and there is no way to see who had made the change. This audit feature would be helpful for users to educate staff on how the system works and how we can communicate the effects of changing fields across the enterprise system....

  16. I would like to give feedback on the yellow flashing bookings

    Noticed some bookings are flashing yellow and was told that there are messages in the Message Centre that need acknowledgement. Is this the notification for same day bookings? We have 2 bookings made today for tonight but they are not flashing yellow. Also was told that there are messages for the same day bookings to be acknowledged. Flashing bookings alert us of new bookings. Once we see them, we will take actions. So the messages are unnecessary and adds work. It would be good if the messages can be disabled but the flashing same day bookings remain.

  17. Add Banned List Column to In/Out Movements

    On the In/Out Reservation screen, I would like to either:

    1) see an additional column next to the name labeled Banned List and reflect Y or N

    2) Have the customer name show up in "red" if they are Banned List

  18. Show Total Pax Count per Day on Booking Chart and/or Availability Chart

    In additional to showing daily occupancy percentage totals on the Booking Chart it would be very useful to show total pax booked per day.

    Knowing the number of people booked for a day it critical for our operations and is as important to us as the number of rooms booked.

    In some of our properties we have close out rooms from sale if the number of pax in house exceeds a certain level, so having a value on the chart would assist us with monitoring this.

    The only way we can currently track this is to run the Occupancy Report.

  19. Having the Ability to override the IBE Pencil Booking

    I would like to have the ability to over ride these IBE pencil bookings when I have a guest on the phone wanting to book. I feel we have lost control of our bookings, as these IBE Pencil bookings do not have any details of the guest booking, the IBE pencil booking sits on the screen more than 10 minutes its meant to and its frustrating when you are speaking with a guest wanting to book there and then on the spot but can't due to an IBE pencil booking that may or may not go through with the booking…

  20. Option to Exclude the 'Reason for Travel' Question on the Guest Declaration

    Remove the travel type questions in the covid declaration

    In the COVID pre-check-in declaration there is a page that asks the guest what type of travel (leisure/business/other etc), please make this optional.
    All of my guests are leisure travellers, so I do not need to ask this question, but I am told by support that they are hard-coded and cannot be removed. This adds unnecessary process to check-in and is detrimental to the guests experience. Please enable them to be removed or at least modified.
