RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  2. a button to choose to NOT add a new room type ALL triggered correspondence

    When you add a new area / room type its immediately added into triggered correspondence. I recently added a new listing and hadnt created its checkin correspondence yet (busy with floods). As it so happened I got a same day arrival booking and this poor customer was send 65 emails!!!! AND 35 texts on how to get into every property. OK sure i should have remembered RMS does this and i have to get through 100s of triggers and remove the new listing from everyone of them but surely RMS can fix this issue or give us a button that…

    Currently available in all versions of RMS is the Category Access option on the Category setup to quickly change if that Category is included or excluded from existing Discounts, Requirements, Triggered Correspondence or Security Profiles.


    The Category Access screen will appear the first time a new Category is saved and can be accessed to change the options at any time on the Edit Category screen.

  3. Add Country to statistical reporting

    Please add by country as an option when pulling statistical - Occupancy reporting - it would be great to be easily see where our forward bookings are coming from.

    Currently available on the Marketing Report in all versions of RMS is the ability to group data by Country and/or Nationality using the selection made on the Guest Details.


    The Marketing Report is an interactive report that includes a targeted breakdown of Operational Revenue and statistics for the selected date range and can be used to track performance and average rates for specific Companies, Travel Agents, Rate Types or Booking Sources.

  4. Change the colour of the booked site on the interactive map from white to red

    When a site is booked it is blocked out in white. This means nothing to a customer, if the colour was Red to show unavailable sites, this would be more prominent as Red is an universal colour that mean stop/unavailable.

  5. Feature needed to Clear MLOS when using a 2-night minimum in Rate Tables or Rate Type set up

    Setting a 2-night minimum for weekends (MLOS) is popular when setting up Rate Tables or Rate Types. However, we need the ability to override or remove the restriction for select weekends (or specific dates) - like on a slow weekend or last minute. Please create a way to do this!!

    Currently available in all versions of RMS is the ability to override the Minimum Length of Stay setup on a Rate using the Control Panel.


    To setup a MLOS override that removes any restrictions set on the Rate set 0 or 1 as the minimum length of stay required for the applicable dates.

    Currently available in RMS is the ability to setup Housekeeping Tasks on a Property, Category, Area, Rate Type or Derived Rate Type. A review of the Housekeeping Task setup for the Category or Rate Type used for Long Term Reservations may identify why they are not appearing on the Housekeepers Report.


    Alternatively if the Housekeepers Report is setup as a Scheduled Report the build parameters may be excluding the Long Term Reservations and can be updated to include them or a separate Long Stay schedule setup instead.

  7. Having the RMS IBE assign a space

    Having the RMS IBE assign a space to every reservation booked online would be excellent. Please make is so that customers do not know which site they are going in to, only so that the IBE assigns the guest an actual site.

    During our peak season, someone booked online and was not assigned a space. This caused my staff to panic because we only had space available if we moved reservations to clear the way for a 12 day consecutive reservation.

    Currently available with the RMS Internet Booking Engine is the automatic assignment of an Area to the online booking at time of creation. By default the Online Confirmation email will not include the assigned Area and can optionally be enabled to display.


    In the scenario mentioned in your suggestion there was Category Availability however, RMS was unable to place the reservation into a single Area and this needed to be manually managed by staff. 


    As a best practice particularly during peak periods reservations can be moved on the Booking Chart to maximise continuous availability.

    Whenever a company is added into RMS, the system automatically allows a Credit Hold. Not every company we add, has been approved for a credit hold. Can we have this automatically turned off and only activated manually?

    Currently in all versions of RMS when a new Company or Travel Agent is created the Credit Hold status defaults to 'Yes' to prevent any transfers to Accounts Receivable.


    A Company or Travel Agent must be removed from the Credit Hold manually to allow accrual of credit through Accounts Receivable.

  9. I would like the availability calendar on the booking engine to be category specific

    At present the IBE is set up to pull availability at the property level. However, our property is made up of holiday rentals and guests book based on the property selected from our websites. It’s important to our business that rates and availability displayed to the guest are at the category level, especially when using ibe urls that are category specific

    A widget for the RMS Internet Booking Engine is also available that can be used with the URL modifiers to embed a customised search within a page on the property's website.

  10. Smart Printing & Printing Options

    Smart Printing (Bring it back) or reduce number of clicks for normal printing. We have to click several times before we can print receipts or invoices. in a busy hotel this is time consuming.

    Currently available is the improved print action menus on accounts which reduce the number of clicks it takes to generate and print Receipts, Statements or Tax Invoices on an account. In addition to these improved menus the print dialogue will automatically open on screen after selecting ‘Print’ from the account menu to fast track sending jobs to the printer.

  11. Stop auto adding new areas/rooms to every triggered correspondence each time a new listing is created

    every time a new listing is added the new listing puts itself onto every single triggered correspondence.
    Its a night mare
    having to go through all the time and a new property for about 100 existing triggered letters is painful. can you have a tick box or something that you tick to add a new area room to all triggers and if u dont want it added to all triggers dont tick the box? Could we have something like that please.

    Currently available in RMS is the ability to exclude a Category from existing Triggered Correspondence rules.

    This option first appears when you save the new Category and can be accessed at any time by editing the Category. When a Category is added to Triggered Correspondence, all Areas within that Category are included.

  12. Recording of Covid Vaccination Record

    It's my understanding that we will be required to check vaccination status on check-in... it would be helpful to be able to record this in the guests profile so we only have to ask them for it once, either on there first stay or first stay back with this requirement. I suppose it really depends on how the guest is able to provide evidence of their vax record... Open to further suggestions on how or where to put this... perhaps there could be another section in the Photo tab to record a screen shot? Comments / ideas appreciated and welcome…

    Currently available in RMS is the ability to customise the Guest Declaration questions used in the Guest Portal Pre-Check-in, Online Check-in and Digital Check-in.

    Interactive Form Letters and the ability for guests to upload Photo ID as a mandatory requirement are also available.

    Any combination of these features can be used at the property’s discretion in line with their terms and conditions to determine if the guest meets the criteria to stay at the property.

    The ability to change the Area on an arrived reservation is currently available in all versions of RMS and depends on the property setup and Security Profile setup for the user performing the action.

  14. I would like the ability to have EDM send outs sent from a display name instead of an the email address

    When sending EDM's it currently appears reservations@emailadress.com.au which often is interpreted as spam, it would be great is it could appear Reservations Company

  15. Add Guest's License Plate Number as a field in their profile

    It would be really helpful if we could add a new field for Guest License Plate # in the guest reservation and then be able to pull a report for all in-house license plates. When overnight security is performing their walkarounds, it would be very helpful for them to be able to cross reference suspicious behavior with registered vehicles in the park.

  16. Single report showing list of all arrivals, departures and mid-stay for a range of dates

    All PMS that I have used to date (Hirum, REI Master, Puma, Resly) have a report that gives a full overview of everything that is happening on a day, and can be generated for a range of dates.

    We give this report for the next week to our housekeeping supervisor who uses it to generate staffing forecasts. It includes all notes and info regarding the bookings so that we can see if a room is locked down or needs extra work, we can see if a room is back to back or just a departure with no arrival.

    Currently available in all versions of RMS is the Arrival/Departure/Stayover Forecast Report which can be generated for a date range and will provide an overview of all Arrivals, Departures and Stayovers for each date within the selected date range.

    Go to Reports > Daily > Arr Dep SO Forecast in RMS to use this report and let us know if there is any further information you would like to see included on this report in the future.

  17. To have MOBILE2 on client details to add partner details which can also be used for SMS feature in correspondence

    especially useful for long term/annual clients in villages.

    currently people use the clients notes area for this extra information.

    Also useful for when searching for a reservation.

    Adding secondary guests to the reservation enables selecting to send correspondence to one or all of the associated Guests including SMS.

  18. Be able to add notes on an owners account.

    As we manage on behalf of owners often one person from our team may have a conversation with an owner that should be noted for other stuff to refer to in future. Or even just to document a conversation or specific owner request. It would be great to be able to have a central place under the owners that we can add important information that anyone can refer back to at anytime.

  19. Triggered correspondence with an INCLUSION list as well

    At present the final option in triggered correspondence is to specify exclusions based on attributes like: company, tariff, unit, bkg source, travel agent.

    This is useful but there is a danger that correspondence will be sent to the wrong booking when more items are added to any of these attributes after the correspondence was created.

    Example: I want my TC emails to be sent to direct bookings only. So I create a TC and exclude all booking sources other than Direct. Later I add another booking source (e.g. Tourist Info Desk). Unfortunately, all bookings from this new booking source are…

    Currently available when setting up the Exclusion List on Triggered Correspondence is the ‘Allocated’ list that determines what entities are included in the Triggered Correspondence rule.

    When a System Administrator sets up a new Company, Travel Agent or Rate Type etc. they are prompted on save to include or exclude the new item from existing Triggered Correspondence rules.

  20. SMS Improvements

    Weve noticed that when a guest receives an SMS from us through RMS, the guests phone shows a mobile number at the top of the SMS. What is happening now as there are so many hackers out there, guests are not looking at these messages as much now due to this reason, therefore not receiving our message, especially now during the Covid Pandemic. My suggestion is very simple, why doesnt the SMS message come up with the motels name, for example Beechworth Motor Inn at the top of the SMS and below is the message. For example

    Currently available when using the 1-Way SMS module in RMS is the ability to setup an SMS Name. The SMS Name will be used to display as the Sender when sending an SMS from RMS.

    Due to limitations by SMS providers the Property Name cannot be displayed as the SMS Name when using 2-Way SMS in RMS. Using the Property Name as the SMS Name will prevent recipients from replying to the SMS.
