RMS User Suggestions

RMS User Suggestions enables RMS customers to add new feature suggestions they would find of benefit as well as vote on suggestions made by other customers.

All feedback is actively monitored by RMS Product Development with the highest voted suggestions reviewed for inclusion in a future development cycle.

The more votes a suggestion receives by customers the sooner it goes for consideration into a future development cycle.

  3. Removing the balance for all online travel agents on the guest portal

    Guest portal -
    Currently there is a balance/deposit owning for guests on their guest portal for their reservation & if they have paid booking.com/ expedia directly sometimes they look at this balance & think they still owe money to us - so they PAY NOW. This then is an issue for us as we have to refund the money back to the guest (as they have paid the online travel agent directly) & we are then stung with the commision fee to the payment merchant for the refund. Sometimes it can be anywhere from $20-$50 for the fee. Really needs…

  5. Be able to select and move multiple charges at once

    If a room has parking that is meant to be on Extras 2 and they have been in for 10 nights. Instead of having to move one at a time you could highlight multiple and move multiple

  6. mobile number Digits in India

    In India the time of making a reservation by the hotel staff. For mobile numbers there should be a limit of only 10 digits, if by mistake it is more than 10 digits it should show the error,
    Also, there should be a mandate to select the country code at the time of making a reservation by the hotel staff.

  7. Bulk Send Receipts from Charge Credit Card Page

    The bulk credit card payments feature is wonderful! In addition to that feature, it would be great if there were a bulk way to send receipts to specific guests rather than going individually from the Charge Credit Card page or using Statements (reports -> accounting -> statements), where you can only have the option to send to all guests.

  9. Add trigger rule option for changing arrival or departure date of booking

    It would be good to have a new trigger rule option that can fire when the arrival or departure date of a booking is changed.

    That was the guest can receive an updated booking confirmation based on arriving a day earlier for example, and they can automatically receive the new confirmation by email or SMS.

    Currently the only option to use for this functionality is when you click save on a booking, which could be for a variety of reasons, so having a specific date change trigger would be handy.

  10. Receive a notification when a booking is not delivered in RMS/rejected by RMS

    Would be helpful to receive error messages and/or emails when a booking is not delivered to RMS for whatever reason. As otherwise we will have no idea a booking has failed to deliver/has not been made in RMS. This has now happened with us twice where the booking was valid on booking.com extranet but we did not receive any email notification about the booking being made, nor did we receive any error notification that the booking has failed to integrate with our PMS channel

    Currently RMS will only allow one or the other. RMS goes a bit haywire if both are setup. Prices do not adjust and rooms appear sold out on some OTA's

    Example of use: We have a self check-in and booking kiosk where Walk-ins can make their own booking onsite, pay and collect their key.   13. Different users on an account to be able to save their own lists of favourite sundries

    I recently discovered I could add favorites to my sundries last that comes up when I am loading checksheets.
    The upshot of this is that I can just click on each item and add numbers rather than typing in name and scrolling, thus saving time. I also group items that costs the same together so I have less lines to add.
    My question is this - can each user have a seperate list of favorites specific to them to help speed up their process. eg under mystays we currently have 7 GEMs with items specific to them for their houses,…

  16. late checkout full automation

    Newbook has the facility where it will recognise if the site or cabin is available the next day and send an automated text to the guest to offer a late checkout. The guest can then respond with a particular response, this will then activate for a charge to be raised and then park staff will charge the credit card on file. Would be great to see RMS have a similar option.

  17. Notification when pencil reservation expire

    Could the reservation screen please feature a "Pencil Button" next to the Quote & Confirm buttons? The consumer never begins the inquiry with "can you please pencil me in" since they often wait until you have all of their information before you ask for a deposit. Instead, they ask, "Can I get back to you with that or can you just pencil me in drift boss?"

  20. Create Arrival Pack Labels report

    RMS currently provides label functionality within Report Writer. For us, this is a GDPR risk. Giving Front Desk teams the ability to run Labels for their Arrival Packs on a daily basis within a section of the system that has functionality that could easily be used to send SMS/Form Letters to guest records from any area of the business e.g. owners/other parks/wrong guests is a huge data breach risk.

    Our Front Desk teams do not understand Report Writer, nor should they. This should be administrator/marketing access only. Creating a report based on the Labels feature would be more in line…
